Set in the Ouachita Mountains, Heritage House is a spacious 4-bedroom, 3-bath retreat designed for families, friends, and small groups who want room to spread out and reconnect. With multiple bedrooms, a full kitchen, comfortable gathering spaces, a large screened-in porch, and peaceful views across the property, it’s an easy home base for a quiet weekend at Peace Valley.
Inside, you’ll find four bedrooms: three with queen beds and one with a twin bed. The three full bathrooms include showers, hair dryers, and thoughtful details for a comfortable stay. The fully equipped kitchen includes stainless appliances, cookware, and everything needed to prepare meals together.
The open living and dining area offers space to relax, gather, and unwind, with cozy seating, high ceilings, and warm wood finishes that nod to the property’s heritage.
Step outside to the screened-in porch, perfect for morning coffee, evening conversation, or simply taking in the quiet. Guests can also explore the 70-acre Peace Valley property, including walking paths, a private pond, picnic spots, fire tables, and peaceful natural surroundings.
Amenities include Wi-Fi, central heat and air, linens, on-site parking, and access to shared outdoor spaces across Peace Valley. We have Starlink internet, which is generally fast and works well for most guests. However, because we’re in a rural location, we can’t guarantee uninterrupted connectivity for mission-critical work or video conferencing.
We welcome well-behaved pets. Please note that pets must remain off furniture and beds, owners are expected to clean up after their pets, and pets should not be left unattended for extended periods. Two friendly resident dogs also live on the property. Whether you’re planning a family weekend, a friends’ getaway, or a quiet nature escape near the Caddo River, Heritage House offers space, comfort, and a peaceful setting to gather. Nearby Attractions

I split my time between Atlanta and our family property, Peace Valley Sanctuary, a place that’s been in our lives for decades. My brother and I grew up visiting these hills, and now we’re the lucky ones who get to share them with guests from all over.
When I’m here, you’ll usually find me walking the trails with our dog Oskie, checking on the cabins, or enjoying a porch swing with a cup of coffee. Hosting lets me share the parts of life that still move at a gentler pace—fresh air, quiet mornings, starry nights, and that feeling you get when you’re far enough away from everything that your shoulders finally drop.
We love welcoming guests who want to slow down, reconnect with nature, or simply have a peaceful landing spot between adventures.

We chose Caddo Gap and the Ouachita foothills because this stretch of Arkansas still feels wonderfully untouched. Peace Valley sits in a quiet, natural pocket surrounded by forests, streams, and open sky—yet you’re close enough to Hot Springs, Glenwood, and local trails to make exploring easy.
The area has a calm rhythm to it: hummingbirds in spring, crisp stargazing at night, deer wandering through the trees, and miles of nature that invite you to breathe a little deeper. It’s a place where you can unplug without giving up comfort, and that mix is exactly why we love it here.

Peace Valley Sanctuary is set on more than 70 acres of private, forested land, with cabins and suites tucked into the landscape so each space feels like its own retreat. Guests have access to our spring-fed pond for kayaking or rowing, walking trails, shaded creek areas perfect for wading, and plenty of wildlife—our free-ranging deer and peacocks included.
It’s quiet, scenic, and intentionally simple in all the right ways. You can watch the sun rise over the pond, sip coffee on a porch surrounded by trees, or end the day under a truly dark sky. Every building has its own personality, but all share the same modern-rustic comfort and connection to nature.
It’s the kind of place where people come for a weekend and leave already planning their next visit.
