The Log House is nestled in the hills of Virginia in a small scenic town named Laurel Fork. The area is a hidden treasure holding breathtaking views of rolling hills, green pastures and meandering trout streams. Once you breathe the crisp mountain air and feel the cool breeze against your skin you will be hooked and drawn to its beauty- walking old dirt roads, crossing one-lane bridges, picking wildflowers along the roadside, and watching the deer as they venture into the pastures at dusk. Words can not describe its magical charm. This is nature at its best! Laurel Fork is a special place. Once you visit, you'll be asking to return each year.
Dylan and I purchased this little slice of heaven in 2013. We have other property in the area and love the simplicity and beauty this area holds. Our children grew up making campfires, roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories. Your family will enjoy taking long walks, fishing in the stream, going on deer runs at dusk and visiting the local attractions just minutes off the Blue Ridge Parkway. We decided to open our home to you, our guests, so you can create lasting memories for your family.
Connie Styers purchased this house in 2013
Pebble Creek is convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway and minutes from Mabry Mill, Chatteau Morrisette Winery and Meadows of Dan. Play golf at Olde Mill Golf or Primland Resort then enjoy a relaxing dinner at one of the resorts or grill at the cabin and enjoy the sunset. Your choices are endless. Guaranteed to leave relaxed and refreshed. You'll want to return each year.
Conveniently located near the Blue Ridge Parkway and minutes away from local tourist attractions.
We really enjoyed our stay. Connie was very helpful in providing things to see and do. This home is located on 11 acres and on a mountain steam. This would be a great location in the summer months. Access off the main road is not paved so go slow. This is a very private location. We enjoyed a fire every night sipping on the libations we purchased from local wineries and distillery. Floyd is a neat town to visit. We will return to this home and bring our grandchildren. Neighbors are very friendly. Thanks Connie for sharing your home.
Perfect mountain getaway. Great views and plenty of things to do. Between the wineries and the golf course, Olde Mill, everybody had a great stay. We all agreed we would love to own this house, can't imagine how great it looks in the Fall. Definitely will be back
Everything about this rental is fabulous. The location is beautiful with great views of the pastures and creek and the cabin itself is rustic yet modern, has plenty of space but feels like home. The host was very responsive and gracious. We will definitely be back!
Our family of four, rented this wonderful mountain cabin for a long weekend. Upon our arrival, we found the cabin to be warm, comfortable, and well maintained. The surroundings are beautiful, as the cabin is tucked away on a beautiful wooded lot. A short distance from the cabin is a lovely trout stream; anyone staying here really should take the short walk to the stream. The cabin has a paved circle drive; that's really a plus when you have kids. They have a great place to ride bikes, or whatever. Inside the cabin there's wood throughout; its very warm and certainly fits the mountain atmosphere. There's plenty of room, with a spacious loft that sleeps at least 5 people. The kitchen is well equipped, and the wood burning fireplace was great - casual dinners by the fire added to the mountain experience. The cabin is located near several attractions; the Blue Ridge Parkway is a very short distance away, and there are wineries, and of course, roadside general stores that sell almost anything a person would need, or want for that matter. Needless to say, this is a great place. The entire family enjoyed staying here, relaxing, and enjoying the mountain scenery. I highly recommend the cabin to anyone, it's a great place for families, or for a couple looking for a mountain getaway.
We really enjoyed our stay at this mountain cabin. It was picture perfect!! The place was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. The place exceeded our expectations and the mountain setting was just beautiful. The owners were very nice to work with. Don't forget to visit Chateau Morisette winery while you are there. Very nice winery and good wine!
