We combine old Italian charm with modern conveniences, including three televisions, black out shades, and a Nespresso machine. Not to mention a nickel slot machine for a little personal fun. A mere 10 minutes from the beach, Island side shopping and dining, and 5 minutes from downtown Vero Beach, The Amalfi House is your home away from home.

The host was perfect and the house even better! Very nice place to relax and unwind, and all the amenities were in very nice shape and very comfortable. The place was perfectly located for what we were doing and a real nice part of town. Definitely hope that we can stay there again next year on this same weekend.

Tara and Michael's place was a great place for our family to stay during our visit to Vero Beach to visit family. The house was clean and the beds comfortable. The neighborhood was nice and mostly quiet. There were plenty of bath and beach towels. There were helpful small things that we appreciated such as nightlights, tissues, laundry detergent, dryer balls, etc. that make it easier being away from home. We appreciated being able to do laundry, and the natural fragrance-free cleaning products provided. We didn't realize how much having natural, non-chemical items made such a positive difference. The whole house water filtration system was amazing. The drinking water tasted wonderful, and being from Maine we are self-proclaimed water snobs. One of our family members lives right in Vero Beach and they can't drink their tap water because it tastes terrible -- this water system makes a huge difference. There was plenty of hot water even when running the dishwasher, laundry, and taking a shower. The internet worked well. Tara and Michael were great hosts, checking in prior, during, and after our stay. Our younger child enjoyed the multi-game table (Pool, Ping Pong, Hockey & Foosball) as well as the slot machine. Our older child also enjoyed the use of the desk in the bedroom as he set up there to keep up on his homework while he was away from school. We used the kitchen a great deal during our stay. We would stay again next time we come to visit family!

We are originally from New York, and have always enjoyed hosting guests in our home. Growing up in a warm and large Italian family, we love welcoming guests, helping them to always feel welcome and at home. We love traveling, cooking and the beach, and are happy to help offer any suggestions for some wonderful dining experiences around town.

Why they chose this property

Vero Beach is a charming town that has so many cultural opportunities. There are several live theaters, stunning beaches, mom and pop shopping and some wonderful restaurants. It is close to many day trip options, ranging anywhere from Orlando to Miami.

What makes this property unique

We have taken tremendous care in making this home completely non toxic, paying attention to detail, including organic mattresses, homemade cleaning products, essential oil diffusers and a whole house filtration system. We are less than ten minutes from the stunning beach, and 5 minutes from downtown.
