About this property

Horse & Garden Farmstay: Rustic Meets Regenerative

Bring your family and friends to this brand new, pet friendly farm. Open the back door into the fully fenced dog park and enjoy the outdoor living spaces placed within. Cook dinner on the outdoor grill with the dining and sitting areas positioned close by. Lounge in hammocks under the mother oak tree while her babies create a natural screen of privacy around you. Have fun while you play outdoor games or simply relax and take a stroll around the 5-acre property on the designated nature trail.

House rules & pet policy:
We’re a pet‑friendly farm and love welcoming guests who travel with their animals. To help us maintain the comfort, cleanliness, and peaceful experience our guests appreciate, we kindly ask that you review the following guidelines:

🐾 Pet policy
We welcome up to three dogs inside the home (this is flexible upon request).

If you are traveling with more than three dogs, please check in with us for approval. We are almost always happy to accommodate larger groups of pets — we simply ask to be notified in advance so we can ensure the home and property are prepared.

Dogs may enjoy the fully fenced dog yard directly off the back door when you are at the property.

When guests leave the property for day trips, dogs cannot be left alone on the property at any time — whether crated or loose, indoors or outdoors. We can provide contact information for a doggie day care that we highly recommend (I use them for my own dog all the time) just 5 minutes up the road from the farm.

Dogs must be on a leash when outside of the dog yard anywhere on the property, to protect our wildlife and maintain a peaceful environment for all guests.

Dogs are not permitted on the furniture or beds.

Please clean up after your pets in the yard and outdoor areas.

🌱 General house rules
No smoking inside the home.

No events or parties.

Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM to honor the peaceful nature of the property.

Please respect the wildlife and stay on the designated nature trail when exploring the land.

Only registered guests are permitted on the property unless approved in advance.

These guidelines help us preserve the high‑quality, nature‑centered experience that makes Horse & Garden Farm special for every guest who stays here.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

We only stayed the night after visiting Kirby's Family Farm. The beds & pillows were so soft and relaxing. It also had a gas fire table which the girls & I enjoyed and walked around the yard & found an old and new gopher tortoise holes by the back metal fence. It has a fence on either side of house mad out of cut trees on the property giving it a country look. It is a work in progress but still would HIGHLY staying there. Did not get any pictures but it is exactly like the pictures posted on this site. Thank you again Kim for allowing guest to stay in such a quiet & comfortable home with great commendations.

What an amazing place! We came down as a group to get scuba certified at the Blue Grotto and needed a place to stay for the night. Kimberly was a great host and had great communication. The place is very clean and brand new. Having coffee on the back patio listening to the birds was a great way to start the day before our final dives. Our instructor has now favorited her place so he can try to use it every time he comes down. Will stay here again if we come back for more diving. Thanks for everything Kimberly!

About the host

I’m Kimberly, the heart behind Horse and Garden Farm in Morriston, Florida. After moving here to these five wild acres, I’ve poured my energy into creating a sanctuary where people and nature thrive together. I love gardening, landscaping, and weaving projects that honor the land — from planting native species to building with timber harvested from the land, right here. Hosting guests is my way of sharing this journey: offering a place where you can rest, reconnect, and feel the quiet resilience of the land. Every stay is an invitation to experience the harmony between people, and the natural world.

Why they chose this property

I chose this neighborhood because it offers the perfect balance of peace and possibility. Horse and Garden Farm sits across the road from the Goethe State Forest, with its miles of trails for riding, hiking, and exploring. Just down the road are world-class equestrian destinations like Black Prong, HITS show grounds, and the World Equestrian Center, making this a hub for horse lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Beyond the equestrian world, the area is rich with natural wonders — Devils Den Springs, Rainbow Lake, and Crystal River are all nearby, offering opportunities for swimming, diving, and discovering Florida’s unique landscapes. What I enjoy most is the quiet rhythm of the neighborhood itself: five-acre parcels that feel tucked away from the bustle of overdevelopment, yet still just two miles from the convenience of a DG Market. It’s a place where guests can experience both retreat and connection, surrounded by beauty and possibility.

What makes this property unique

Family-Oriented Spirit At its heart,
Horse and Garden Farm is family oriented. It’s a place built to welcome guests of all ages, offering space to gather, explore, and enjoy meaningful time together. The farm is meant to be both a retreat and a shared experience, where nature and family come together in a way that feels genuine and memorable.
