The first room I was taken to was filthy. There was food and liquids spilled on both the chair and ottoman. The microwave was smeared with grease or food on the door. The bed linens were dirty, there were flies in the room and the television was broken. The second room had less visible grime in the bedroom but some gummy black goo on the floor in front of the microwave, linens with visible short black curly hairs on the bed, easily visible when the sheets were turned back. There were unmistakable black marks on the pillow cases of several pillows too. But the worst was the bathroom. The shelves were filthy enough I didn’t want to use the bottom towel stacked on it. The toilet literally had feces smeared on the seat. They had no other rooms available and I was told the housekeeper would deal with it the next day. Vrbo was apologetic but kept referring me back to management who said they had nothing else to offer me and cleaning would be done the next day. I was expected to sleep in those conditions. I don’t mind simple accommodation, but something so dirty is unfathomable. Not just one, but two separate rooms. I cannot recommend this establishment. The rooms looked like the picture after ten years of hard use by too many visitors and blind management. Their lack of interest in the state of the rooms and casual dismissal of the problem was most distressful.
