Overall everything was as pictured and stated it would be, the host gave very detailed and clear instructions and the location was very convenient / walkable. The only downsides was that some of the silverware / dishes had food residue left on them and the shower curtain fell twice during our stay, but they were easy enough fixes that it didn’t really affect our stay. Would absolutely recommend and would stay again! :)
The communication with the host while booking was very good. When arriving to the place, it was confusing to enter the building and downloading the app to use the elevator and parking garage was hard to figure out. Some tenants of the apartment tried to help and even said that there is a glitch in it. Once in the apartment we were able to contact the host for help and it all went smoothly after that. Location was great for our purposes. The apartment was well designed with nice amenities and clean. My only minor complaint was that I would like better reading light in the bedroom with a lamp on both sides of the bed. The snacks and coffee pods (wished for some tea bags also) left were a nice touch. We walked along the canal and it was very pretty. Will definitely come back!
Problem with getting into the garage because the card didn’t work. The apartment was ok. The ac unit was not secured to the stop door. Hot water in the shower was just warm. Sinks both ran hot so I can’t figure out why the shower was not warm enough.
The bad...Mold issue above shower, on the ceiling. Bathroom vent fan not working so kinda damp and towels don't dry on rack. The good. Good communication, Nice view from rooms personal porch and nice outdoor public deck on buildings west side for sunsets. Comfortable bed. Kitchen and laundry in apartment was great. Would stay again if mold wasn't an issue.
William did NOT stay at my place, guest reached out about a question I responded back within 15 minutes and William responded 45 min later saying he booked another place, he Never entered the apartment

About the host
Hosted by Chelsea
Hi! I’m Chelsea, a local Indianapolis host who truly enjoys creating comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully prepared spaces for guests. I take pride in making sure every stay feels easy—from clear communication to detailed check-in instructions and a well-equipped home.
I love helping guests experience Indianapolis like a local, whether you’re here for work, medical assignments, events, or a weekend getaway. I’m always happy to share recommendations for great food, hidden gems, and things to do around the city.
Hosting allows me to combine my love for hospitality with creating peaceful spaces where guests can relax after a long day. My goal is for you to feel supported, comfortable, and at home during your stay.
Why they chose this property
I chose this neighborhood because it offers the perfect balance between peace and proximity. It’s located along the Central Canal on the north side of downtown, which means you get a quieter, more relaxed setting away from heavy traffic and crowds—yet you’re still within walking distance or a short car or scooter ride to all of downtown Indianapolis’s main attractions.
What I enjoy most is the scenic Canal Walk, which is great for morning walks, runs, or just unwinding after a long day. While the area has an industrial feel and may seem low-key at first, there are several hidden gems nearby—local restaurants, unique buildings like the Stutz, and easy access to Mass Ave, sports venues, museums, and event spaces.
It’s ideal for guests who want a calm place to come home to while still being close to the energy of downtown when they want it.
What makes this property unique
What makes this property unique is its canal-side location paired with a quiet, tucked-away setting just outside the busy core of downtown. Guests get the best of both worlds—peaceful surroundings with easy access to Indianapolis’s top attractions by foot, scooter, or a short drive.
Unlike many downtown listings, this apartment offers a more relaxed, private feel while still being close to Mass Ave, Lucas Oil Stadium, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the Convention Center, and cultural spots like the Stutz Building. The scenic Canal Walk right outside is perfect for morning walks or evening unwinding.
Inside, the space is thoughtfully designed for comfort—ideal for both short stays and longer visits—with practical amenities, clear communication, and a host who is local and attentive. It’s a great fit for guests who want convenience without constant noise or congestion.
