Enjoy an unforgettable stay in this handcrafted loft cabin, nestled among the trees on our 100+ acre working farm — a homestead focused on natural practices just a quarter mile from Kerr Lake.
THE SPACE
You’ve never stayed anywhere quite like this.
Serenity Loft blends the charm of rustic living with the ease of modern comfort — heat, air conditioning, hot running water, and electric — all surrounded by the warm textures of pine wood and sunlight filtering through tall windows.
Relax in the cozy living area or prepare a meal in the kitchenette before retreating upstairs to the loft bedroom, where you’ll find a plush queen bed tucked beneath a woven ceiling and overlooking the space below.

Holly Forest is tucked into a corner of Heritage Farm. Water and electricity, The Bathhouse with showers and restrooms, and parking are located in the common areas.
Our farm is dedicated to natural practices, and learning experiences for all. Depending on the time of your visit, you may find our farm humming with activity during flower season as we tend to our crop (cultivate-flower-co[dot]square[dot]site), or care for our livestock and create our products (Kinda Crunchy Goat Milk Soap). You'll also see us tending to our animals year-round.
Other things to note
ACCESSIBILITY NOTICE — The bed is located in a loft accessible by a steep ladder-style staircase. This space is not handicap accessible and may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations. The couch downstairs converts into a queen bed.
WHAT TO BRING/WHAT IS PROVIDED? — Check our Packing Guide (sent through messages at time of booking, and again 1 week prior to your stay) for our updated list of what we provide, what is available, and what you may want to bring with you for your stay.
BE WILDLIFE AWARE — To help us take care of the local wildlife and make your stay as smooth as possible, please store food, trash, and scented items (like toiletries) in a cooler or the metal trash can provided at your unit when you're away for the day or turning in for the night. Heritage Farm is our 118-acre homestead rooted in natural practices. We raise cows, horses, goats, sheep, and free-range chickens, and we grow vegetables, berries, fruit, and beautiful cut flowers.
Holly Forest is our agrotourism VENTURE, with six unique stays ranging from canvas tents to fully enclosed cabins.
