Fantastic property - highly highly recommend coming here! Dawne is a wonderful host and the home itself has a lot of character and is just unreal. Not much in the town itself but it's quite convenient to drive anywhere to get groceries etc. 10/10 would stay again!

A beautiful house nestled in a quaint harbour. Dawne is an amazing host…she gave us an orientation to the house and provided us with lots of opportunities of things to do. We really like that she shared with us some local samples of chocolate, soap, coffee and tea…all products we purchased on our travels. Dawne is a real ambassador for NL. Meeting and chatting with neighbours made us feel right at home. Looking forward to our return trip.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We loved the small community of old bonavista. The house is cozy, we even had a fire in the wood stove one night. Having coffee in the morning overlooking the bay was a lovely way to start the day and the daffodils both inside and in the garden added cheer to the day. Dawne met us when we arrived and told us a bit of the history of the home, and all the books in the home added even more history. Glad we were able to stay here.

If you are looking for a “Rustic Farm”style meets “Old English Cottage” then this is the place complete with amazing harbour views and quaint sitting areas inside and out. The waterfalls in the backyard sounds very calming as you relax or read any of the hundreds of books thru out the home. One of a kind home you have experience to appreciate.

Absolutely wonderful home that makes you feel immersed in the surroundings. Very open and bright yet cozy with a wonderful wood stove (much welcomed on these cold, wet spring days) and many spots to curl up with a good book. We appreciated the ability to allow our dog, Truffle out in the fenced yard and the provided dog blanket & towel. Dawne made us feel very welcomed and ensured we had everything we need for a great stay. Very convenient to the trails and attractions in the area. We only stayed 2 nights but would have loved to stay more in this wonderful place.

The cottage is so lovely about 20 minutes from Trinity and 30 min to Port Rexton. Dining in Trinity is somewhat very limited . There is only one restaurant and seating is very limited and the wait is long so be prepared to wait. The cottage is very well set up to make a meal so buying some groceries before your arrival is recommended as the nearest place to get limited groceries is 30 minutes away. Suggest buying food in Gander if you are coming from the west and Clarenville from the east. The road leading to the cottage is being redone so it’s a bit of a dusty bumpy ride for the last 5 min of the drive however totally worth it.

When we stepped in to the house, I felt like coming home. This property has so much charme. Everything was perfect. My brother who visited from Germany chose to sleep in the little bed by the window, just to be able to look outside and check on the fishermen. We chose the room with the waterfall in the back. It was great. When we get a chance we would chose this property again.
