The space
The Solace | Cabin 2 at The Blackburn Retreat

The Solace is a beautifully designed 450 sq. ft. luxury tiny cabin created for 1–2 guests seeking a peaceful Hocking Hills escape. This studio-style retreat combines the living room, kitchen, dining area, and bedroom into one thoughtfully curated space that feels both cozy and elevated.

Located just 10 minutes north of downtown Logan, The Solace offers the perfect balance of privacy and convenience, with easy access to the many popular attractions, hiking trails, and outdoor adventures throughout the Hocking Hills area. Whether you are planning a romantic getaway or simply looking to unwind in nature, this cabin offers an unforgettable setting to relax and recharge.

Living Area
The living space is warm, inviting, and designed for comfort. Guests can relax on the cozy couch with plush pillows and blankets, enjoy a game from the game basket, or take in the wooded views through the large windows.

Kitchen & Dining
The fully stocked kitchen is equipped with everything needed for cooking and dining during your stay, including a refrigerator/freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, baking sheets, dishware, utensils, and cooking essentials such as oil, salt, pepper, and seasonings.

The coffee station is thoughtfully prepared with a drip coffee maker, regular and decaf coffee, as well as a Nespresso machine with pods, syrups, sugars, creamers, and tea. A dining table with seating for two creates the perfect place to enjoy meals together.

Sleeping Area
The open bedroom space features a king-size bed with comfortable pillows and high-quality linens for a restful night’s sleep. Bedside tables, sconces, and charging stations add convenience, while the smart TV and large wooded-view windows create a relaxing retreat. All windows are fitted with both sheer and blackout curtains for comfort and privacy.

Bathroom
The bathroom blends natural textures with modern luxury, featuring stone flooring, earthy tones, elevated lighting, and a wood vanity. Guests will enjoy the walk-in shower with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers, along with toiletries, mirrors, towel hooks, and a hair dryer. A stackable washer and dryer with laundry essentials is also available for guest use.

Outdoor Living
Step outside and enjoy a private outdoor experience surrounded by nature. The outdoor space includes a hot tub, gas grill, outdoor seating areas, fire pit with Adirondack chairs, barrel sauna, outdoor shower, and outdoor games such as giant Jenga and cornhole.

Other Things to Note
The Solace at The Blackburn Retreat is situated at the end of a dead-end road on 20 secluded wooded acres. While there are other cabins on the property that may be visible from certain areas, we kindly ask all guests to respect the privacy of others during their stay.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house except for a mechanical room on the exterior side.

Construction Note
We want to be fully transparent so you can plan your stay with confidence. There is currently some light construction taking place on the property. While we’ve made every effort to minimize any disruption, you may occasionally notice daytime noise during the week or see work in progress in certain areas. There will be no construction on Saturdays or Sundays.

Rest assured, your space remains private, clean, and fully ready for your stay. We’ve taken care to ensure that the construction does not impact the comfort or amenities inside your cabin.

The cabin is equipped with Starlink Wi-Fi, providing fast and reliable internet connectivity for streaming, browsing, and remote work during your stay.

Winter Travel Advisory
During the winter months, please be aware that the cabin is accessed via a gravel road and driveway. While generally accessible, snow and ice can create challenging driving conditions.

For your safety, 4WD or AWD vehicles are required in winter weather conditions. The Blackburn Retreat is not responsible for vehicles that become stuck or for any related incidents. Guests are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of any necessary towing services.
