Great apartment, great host

Fabulous quiet location with stunning view across lake Thun to the Bernese alps. Well kitted-out & very comfortable beds. Great base for a great week exploring.

This was by far the best place we have stayed in Europe this year. The apartment was very clean and well appointed. The three bedrooms have comfy beds and quality linens. The hosts were absolutely fantastic and even brought us an orchid to brighten up our day. 10 out of 10 recommend.

When we arrived we were so pleasantly surprised how lovely spacious and modern the apartment was Spotlessly clean and modern with 3bedrooms and two bathrooms and a huge lounge room and dinning room Lovely large balcony The location was breathtaking above he picturesque lake Thun with the Niesen right in front of us. An absolute spectacular outlook The owners could not have been nicer a lovely couple who couldn’t do enough to make our stay better A big laundry was so convenient and useful with young children Highly recommend this holiday in Thun We loved it and and we were sorry to leave

This is a beautiful villa in a stunning rustic location that works really well for a big group looking for in a private setting away from the madness of Taormina. It’s close enough (20 min drive) to go for dinner and sightseeing, but honestly so much more pleasant than staying among the throngs of tourists. The kitchen and outdoor eating areas worked really well for group meals and hanging out. The swimming pools are very nice with amazing views of Mt Etna. There’s not much in Trappitello, the nearby town, but there is a small grocery store and a good place for fish. We ended up doing big shops in Giardini Naxos. Everything at the property was tasteful and comfortable and clean. Note that air conditioning isn't included but it’s available and it was definitely necessary to be comfortable the time of year we stayed (June). Due to parking challenges jn Taormina we sometimes took an uber which was less hassle than driving to Taormina. It was easier to park in Giardini Naxos but we could also get a van for 6 for 20 euros so sometimes did that if we were going out. Overall it was a great place that we would love to return to.

Wonderful host, superior cleanliness, comfort is a failure

Denka and her husband are friendly people. The kitchen and bathrooms are very nice. They keep the apartment very clean. There are two qualities we look for in vacation properties, cleanliness and comfort. They pass with high marks on cleanliness but are an absolute failure on comfort. The beds are horrible, a 4" slab of foam on a bunky board. There are no comfortable seats except for the outdoor chairs on the deck. Parking can be a problem as there are 3 apartments in the building all of which were occupied. With no turn space I had to back down the narrow drive on a hill side. Denka does not give any warning in advance of booking an apartment.
