Star of the Hill is a beautifully renovated townhouse. Completed in 2026, the home is just 3 miles to downtown Lexington. You'll be close to local shops, restaurants, W&L , VMI and the Virginia Horse Center.

The nearby wineries, breweries, and wedding venues make Star of the Hill a must stay!

With thoughtfully designed, warm and welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces, Star of the Hill is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway, a trip to the mountains, or a visit with your college student.

The home features a large primary bedroom with a king size bed and ensuite bathroom. A second bedroom with a king size bed and a full bath just outside the door. Both bedrooms are on the second level. The first level features a spacious living room with a fireplace and 2 sofas - one of which converts to a queen size bed. You will also find a dedicated workspace with printer/copier and a charging station. A large open space kitchen with center island/breakfast bar, coffee bar and dining area for six has been remodeled with new stainless appliances and everything you will need to enjoy a dine-in experience.

Outside on the rear patio, you will find comfortable seating and a firepit - the perfect spot for a glass of wine and star gazing.

As parents of a W&L student, we don't rent it often - as we visit a lot :-) so if you happen to be our guest, we are confident you will love your stay. This is why all reservations require prior approval - just in case we are planning a quick trip to beautiful Lexington. We promise to get back to you very quickly and confirm your stay.

We are literally a quick message away. If we can answer any questions, help with anything or make any recommendations, please do not hesitate to reach out.

The entire house is available for guests (not shared) with the exception of a locked room and closet on the second floor where the owner stores personal items.

Although we love pets and have 2 dogs in our family, pets are strictly not allowed. There are two dedicated parking spots right in front with additional parking for guests also available.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
-Leave beds unmade. Place used towels in tubs. Leave sofa bed open if used -Take trash from bathrooms and kitchen and perishable food (check fridge) to the large trash bin at the end of the street
-Load and start dishwasher -Turn off lights -Return house keys to tray at entrance table -Lock back door and exit through front door and lock
