The Space:

The Afton Lodge is a four-level architectural masterpiece set on a private, wooded lot just two minutes from Afton Alps ski hill. Designed for groups up to 14, this one-of-a-kind timber frame estate blends resort-level amenities with warm, intentional design at every turn. There is nothing else like it in Minnesota.

The Great Room & Main Living

Step through the front door and into one of the most jaw-dropping rooms you've ever seen. Soaring 30-foot timber frame ceilings, 125+ windows flooding the space with natural light, and a massive river rock fireplace anchor the main living area. A hand-crafted rope-suspended daybed hangs from the rafters alongside statement chandeliers, leather seating, and views of the surrounding woods in every direction. The Afton Lodge neon sign glows softly from the wall — this space sets the tone for everything that follows.

The Chef's Kitchen

Adjacent to the great room, the chef's kitchen is built to feed a crowd in style. A massive quartz waterfall island with seating for six, professional-grade stainless appliances, double ovens, full-size fridge, gas cooktop, and gold-accented fixtures throughout. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the wooded landscape and the open layout keeps the cook part of the party.

Dining

The dedicated dining room seats the entire group at two large tables under dramatic chandelier lighting, anchored by a soaring river rock fireplace. Designed for long dinners and lasting memories.

Entertainment

The main floor also features a custom pool table — a natural gathering spot between meals. A separate lounge with a large flat screen and timber ceilings offers a quieter space to decompress after a day on the slopes.

Top Floor



Primary Suite — The crown jewel. Exposed timber cathedral ceilings, antler chandelier, floor-to-ceiling river rock fireplace, sitting area, walk-in closet, and en suite bath. A true sanctuary.

Bedroom 2 — Queen bed with timber beam ceilings, wooded views, large smart TV, and crisp white linens. Light, clean, and quietly elegant.

Bedroom 3 — King bed with sleek platform frame, built-in backlit headboard, floor-to-ceiling charcoal velvet drapes, leather bench, and a dedicated workspace. Cool, contemporary, and magazine-worthy under warm timber ceilings.

Bedroom 4 — Queen bed wrapped in sheer floor-to-ceiling drapery, warm timber cathedral ceilings, a sculptural boucle ottoman, and a stunning large-format art piece lit from above. Airy, serene, and effortlessly sophisticated.



Main Floor



Bedroom 5 — King bed, warm timber beam ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows with wooded views, smart TV, boutique-style dresser, and en suite bath. Clean, calm, and beautifully appointed — with direct access to the pool level just steps away.



Lower Level



Bedroom 6 — King platform bed, sofa, and smart TV. A comfortable and well-appointed retreat.

Bedroom 7 (The Brown Room) — Full bed, custom oversized upholstered headboard, rich moody tones, and cozy lounge chair. A designer's touch in every corner.



Also on the lower level: a fully equipped second kitchen and the full arcade game room loaded with Snocross simulators, pinball machines, and classic arcade cabinets under custom neon hex lighting.

The Pool Level

The lowest floor is where The Afton Lodge truly separates itself. A private indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna are yours around the clock — your own personal escape regardless of season. Sliding doors open directly to a brand new patio with outdoor seating, perfect for cool Minnesota evenings after a long soak.

Guest Access:

Guests have full, exclusive access to the entire Afton Lodge property — all four levels, every amenity, and every inch of the estate is yours for the duration of your stay. No shared spaces, no limitations.

Check-in is seamless via smart lock — your unique access code will be provided prior to arrival. No key pickup, no coordination required. Simply arrive and walk in.

Parking is plentiful with a 3-car attached garage plus additional driveway space. The property accommodates up to 7 vehicles on-site. No street parking is available, so please plan accordingly. Need space for more than 7 vehicles? Just reach out and we'll do our best to accommodate.



The Neighborhood:

The Afton Lodge sits on a private, wooded 6-acre lot in one of the most beautiful pockets of the Saint Croix River Valley — a landscape of rolling bluffs, mature trees, and quiet country roads that feels a world away from the city. The property is largely secluded, though it sits within a spacious residential area with a small number of neighboring homes nearby.

The crown jewel of the area is Afton Alps, just two minutes down the road — one of the Midwest's premier ski destinations with 18 lifts and 48 runs. In the summer months, Afton State Park is just a short drive away, offering miles of hiking and biking trails, stunning river overlooks, and some of the best natural scenery the region has to offer.

The charming small town of Afton is minutes away for a casual bite or a stroll along the river, and the Twin Cities are an easy 35-minute drive for anything else you need.



Getting Around:

The Afton Lodge is a destination in itself — most guests find they rarely need to leave. That said, having a car makes exploring the area effortless. Rideshare is readily accessible including premier and black car service, typically arriving within 10-15 minutes.

Afton Alps is a 2-minute drive. The town of Afton is just minutes away for dining and river walks. Hastings offers grocery stores, restaurants, and everyday conveniences within 10-15 minutes. The Twin Cities are an easy 35-minute drive with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options.

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport is approximately 30 minutes away.



Other Things to Note:

The Afton Lodge is a private residential estate and is not available for parties, events, or gatherings beyond the registered guest count. We ask that all guests are respectful of the property and the surrounding neighborhood.

The lodge is strictly non-smoking indoors. Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas only. Please be mindful of all outdoor furnishings and the natural surroundings.

Pets are not permitted at the property. That said, we understand how hard it is to leave your dog behind — guests traveling with a well-behaved dog are welcome to inquire prior to booking and we will do our best to accommodate on a case-by-case basis. Additional fees may apply.

The indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna are for the exclusive use of registered guests. Please follow all posted safety guidelines when using these amenities.
