Sunset Beach is famous for it's vast beach area with soft sand stretching to the wildlife sanctuary know as Bird Island on the West end of the island. A walk to Bird Island also allows for stopping at The Kindred Spirits mailbox to write down thoughts, poems or anything that comes to mind in the mailbox journal.
