Tucked away among the evergreens on the beautiful shores of Moosehead Lake, this comfy cabin is full of warm, natural woods lovingly handcrafted by the original owner. The fine Norwegian craftsmanship embodies the quintessential character of Maine's North Woods. Sip your morning coffee on the covered porch while overlooking the lake through wispy pines. Prepare hearty Northwoods breakfasts in the fully-equipped kitchen and enjoy chilly nights playing board games around the dining room table in this warm cabin.
The master bedroom has windows on three sides to allow in sweet breezes and soft loon calls to lull you to sleep. The sleeping loft, overlooking the living and dining room, offers its own bathroom and wonderful cross breezes over the custom-made double bed. The lower bedroom offers another double bed where you can wake up to lake views, loons calls, and passing wildlife.

The large lot is an outdoor enthusiast's dream offering a private pebble beach with gorgeous views of the Burnt Jacket and Big Moose Mountains across picturesque Beaver Cove and beyond. Watch the kids on the custom Adirondack chairs along the shoreline or call everyone in for lunch at the lakeside picnic table. After sundown, there's an outdoor stone fireplace near the water to gather around for s'mores and scary stories.

What's nearby:
This waterfront home enjoys an enviable position on the southeastern shores of Moosehead Lake, just a few steps from its own private pebble beach that's great for swimming. If you bring your own kayak or canoe - it is a great place to launch them. Lily Bay State Park, a 925-acre expanse with a sandy swimming beach, a playground, two boat ramps, and a two-mile walking trail along the lakeshore, is immediately north as well. Shopping, dining, and other essentials can be found in downtown Greenville only eight miles south, while the surrounding area is ripe for hiking, moose-watching, and snowmobiling come winter.

Relaxing Coastal Views

The space was perfect for our needs, the view was amazing, and the toiletries and kitchen were all really well equipped. There is a path directly to the beach where there is much fun to be had searching for the perfect shell. Would definitely stay there again!

Best Location

The location of Southside can't be beat! A path to the beach AND being next door to the Claremont was perfect! Couldn't ask for a better spot!

Family vacation

We loved our stay. Property allowed our son and daughter ages 26 and 23 appreciated their own space. Property was clean and had great beds as well as everything else our family needed to be comfortable. We would definitely stay there again if we have opportunity to return to the area and enjoy Acadia National Park in the future.

Southside at Cobb Nob

Great spot and had everything we needed. Separation of space was great to have child and parents on top floor and grandparents downstairs with shared space on middle floor.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Southwest Harbor! The grounds were beautiful - gorgeous flowers and landscaping and great access to the private beach that our two small dogs loved exploring! The residence was clean and had what we needed. We loved exploring the island and Acadia. Our neighbors were friendly and shared some great tips and favorite spots around the area! Thanks for a great spot for an extended family vacation!

Great location, but thin wall between the rental next door

The location is fantastic, with the beach, The Claremont, and a lobster-serving pier a short walk away. It was very clean. However, we could hear the neighbors on the other side of the rental quite clearly and we could smell the fish they fried for hours.

Great Water Front Property

The house is clean and comfortable, master bedroom has a view of the ocean. A nearby hotel made it easy to get settled in and walk to the hotel for dinner on our first night. We didn't use the kitchen but is was very nice. Loved that there was a washer and dryer, we planned to pack 1 suitcase and do laundry there as it was our halfway spot of the trip. Will return if I an ever back in that area. Thanks

Cozy stay

This property is a cute, cozy place, and served our needs adequately. I docked one star only because when we arrived, we found a breaker needed to be flipped for the upstairs bedroom lights to work, and we did not have access to the breaker box. When I contacted the mgmt. company, they told us where the breaker box was located, but it was in a locked closet and we did not have access to a key. We wound up never getting access to it and did not have lights for the upstairs while we were there. Not a huge deal as we were only there two nights and were gone most of the time, but I would really recommend giving renters access to that breaker box.
