No matter what time of year - Grainau is your perfect vacation destination! And it's not just the world-famous Zugspitze that you should definitely explore here: There is so much more to discover! In summer, the Zugspitze village surprises you with all kinds of outdoor activities. Cycling, hiking, mini-golf, swimming or simply sitting in a nice café - there is guaranteed to be something for everyone. Would you like to make the most of the many snowy days here? Then visit us in the winter months. Tobogganing, cross-country skiing, curling or horse-drawn sleigh rides are just a few of the many ways to enjoy the cold season. Of course, you should also plan a trip to neighboring Garmisch-Partenkirchen. This way you will get to know all facets of Bavarian tradition and coziness.

Our vacation home "Am Kreuzbichl" is the perfect accommodation if you want to spend your vacation with several people. There is room for up to 9 people in an area of approx. 175 m. Our house is also ideal if you are planning a multi-generational vacation: Thanks to the clever layout, there is a small granny apartment on the 1st floor, but it is connected to the main house. Equipped with a small kitchenette, a sitting area and a sofa, which can be used perfectly as an additional sleeping area, you can retreat here and still spend your vacation together. Directly from the small living area, you enter the bedroom, which is furnished with a double bed and a sofa bed. There is also a TV here. From both the living area and the bedroom, you can access the balcony with a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. The bathroom, which is equipped with two washbasins, a toilet and a large shower, is also accessed via the bedroom.
There is another bedroom on the 1st floor. Here you will also find a comfortable double bed and a single bed. Another bathroom with two washbasins and a shower can be accessed from the hallway.

A staircase takes you to the attic of our vacation home. Two single beds invite you to relax comfortably under the exposed roof truss. The small washbasin in the sleeping area is practical.
You will definitely find the heart of our house on the first floor: spacious, bright and ideal for cozy evenings and hours, a living and dining area awaits you that fulfills all your wishes. There is room for everyone at the large dining table, where you can spend many cozy hours enjoying meals together or playing games. If you prefer to snuggle up on a sofa later in the evening, you'll get your money's worth here: a large sofa area invites you to relax. Would you prefer to curl up with a good book? Then make yourself comfortable at the back of the living room. A comfortable reading sofa awaits you here.
A crackling fire, a cozy warmth, a vacation atmosphere that can only be found in Bavaria! Masonry fireplaces can be found in many houses here, as they radiate a great sense of coziness. So you can look forward to lighting a fire on gray and cold days and turning the day to the best!

Of course, there is also a large, separate kitchen in our vacation home. Small and large meals can be easily prepared here. All the necessary kitchen appliances such as an oven, dishwasher and microwave are available. There are even two integrated seating areas so that the chef can be entertained at all times.

By the way: All single beds/sofas have a size of 100x200 cm, so that adults can also find plenty of space.

We have good news for all fresh air fans: During a short closure period from 17.04.2023 until probably the end of July, our vacation beautifiers will be active for you! We are renovating the terrace and a covered loggia awaits you - equipped with garden furniture, of course. So you can look forward to wonderful summer days and evenings here in Grainau!
