Villa with History and a Breathtaking Infinity Pool
Our holiday home Podere Palazzone â Toscana Autentica dates back to around the year 1600. It hosts four holiday apartments, each 55 mÂČ in size, styled in the typical antique Tuscan country house design. The apartment âLeccioâ features two bedroomsâone with a double bed, the other with two single beds (an additional bed can be provided upon request), a bathroom, a dining area, and a self-catering kitchenette fully equipped with dishes, a fridge, and a microwave oven. The entire rustico was thoroughly renovated, carefully preserving and reusing its original materials. Today, it still charms guests with its original cotto vaulted ceilings and antique chestnut beams in the "Leccio" apartment, as well as a walk-in fireplace and stone walls up to 1.5 meters thick made from the typical beige Tuscan sandstone. Many of the stones visibly feature fossils, dating back to when the region was still a seabed.
From the "Leccio" apartment, guests can step directly into the spacious park with a shaded outdoor dining area under majestic holm oaks and a lawn ideal for sunbathing and playing. Here, they can enjoy the stunning sunsets Tuscany is famous for, before the distant lights of the Etruscan city of Volterra begin to twinkle and the sky unveils a spectacular display of stars. Early risers will be enchanted by the morning mist that gently wraps around the hilltops.
Just 15 steps from the apartment is the magnificent infinity pool, 12 x 6 m â a true homage to Tuscany. Overlooking the hills around Volterra, it acts like a picture frame, emphasizing the beauty of the classic Tuscan landscape. It harmoniously captures the regionâs colors and shapes as if painted with a soft brush. Podere Palazzone is nestled among small vineyards, olive groves, woods, and pastures. We welcome you to an oasis of peace, yet one that lies close to all of Tuscanyâs major attractions.

Dolce Vita
While you relax, donât miss out on Tuscanyâs culinary delights. We are happy to recommend local trattorias and wineries. Upon request, we offer a breakfast service at Podere Palazzone, and three times a week, we host themed culinary evenings focused on olive oil, Tuscan herbs, and Italian cuisine classicsâatmospherically served at sunset under the pergola in front of the rustic house. For more lively experiences, we suggest visiting the many village festivals and medieval fairsâcomplete with flag throwers. Ask us, too, about lost places to explore, hidden caves, or attractions for children.
Holiday in Harmony with Nature
Podere Palazzone â Toscana Autentica is also a small, family-run 3.5 ha organic farm with its own vegetable and herb garden. Donât miss tasting our tomatoesâpicked when perfectly ripe, red, juicy, aromatic, and with that earthy scent of grass and wet soil. As a true Tuscan farm, we also grow grapes and produce high-quality, hand-harvested organic extra virgin olive oil. Our eggs come from truly happy hens, who share the farm with our dogs, cats, and horses. Guestsâ pets are also warmly welcome at no extra charge (within usual limits). Lastly, electricity, hot water, and heating are powered by the regionâs natural geothermal energy sources.
