My wife and I are both Saint Lucians who retired in 2004 and returned to Canada to rejoin our family there but we make frequent trips to the island. For the last several years we have leased the property for long term periods (the last long term tenant was there for three years). We have now decided to make it available for vacation rentals so that we or our family may also use it occasionally. When the building of the property was completed it became a 'no brainer' for us to purchase it because of its unbeatable location on Reduit Beach. We have spent most enjoyable times there between rentals.
What makes this Apartment unique
The main benefit of our property is its location on Reduit Beach as well as its easy walking distance to great restaurants, supermarkets, banks, shops and malls and even a casino. One does not need to rent a car to have a great time.

Perfect place close to the beach
Above and beyond! Roger was great to communicate with and Delia was super during our check in. The place is conveniently located but still in a quiet area and with Roger's directions easy to find. It was the perfect place for us and our 2 year old daughter. A coffee shop and grocery store are a 10 minute walk and the beach is a 2 minute walk. The beach is beautiful and very quiet only a few locals. The pool was perfect to relax after a day at the beach. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. I would definitely recommend Roger's place to anybody looking for the perfect spot to stay.

We have rented another VRBO property in past on another island and had a great experience. This condo was another hit. Enjoyed ourselves and had all the amenities of home. A couple of tips that may help other travellers.
This condo unit does have books that have been left behind (myself included!) Lighten the load and peruse the library in unit. There are two great Tommy Bahama chairs and a beach umbrella. If you are beach people and plan to spend longer times on beach, strike up a deal with local beach rentals. This beach area has some who you can rent from if you want chairs that lie full out and a larger umbrella, if you want to go in and out of sun. We made arrangements for 8 days and each morning our chairs were out where we wanted and umbrella up. So close to the beach from this unit. Amazing! This is the calmest water on Rodney Bay and also was not packed side by side with people. LOVED IT!
There is a soft side and hard cooler in unit. We made ice and used the hard cooler and were able to send the whole day on beach. Buy rotis from Liz Roti or her awesome cakes. Beers and fish lunch from Maria's Fish shack and you are set for the day.
We did pay for a private tour of island through Real St Lucia Tours and were glad we did. Nicer than being packed on a tour bus with others who may or may not wish to spend time on each stop. We had Stephen as guide - excellent.
Overall, this is a cozy unit, nothing fancy but will serve your purpose as a landing spot for all the sun and relaxing you want on your holiday! Roger was a very attentive and responsive owner and Delia on site was available on arrival and explained all we needed. Very clean unit.

The property is in a great position close to the beach and within walking distance to the shops. Delia who manages the property was very friendly and helpful also Alvin who picked us up from the airport. The swimming pool and grounds are well maintained and nice and private.
There is everything you need in the condo for an enjoyable stay.
Just in the corner of the beach by the walkway is Marie’s Shack, the fish is excellent and very reasonably priced, you can book your boat trips there as well.
We would definitely stay here again

Great location, lovely apartment.
Clean and extremely well stocked. Air conditioning in bedrooms only. The walk to the beach was 3 minutes and town was only 5 with many restaurants and 2 large grocery stores. Lots of other shopping. The pool is 5 feet deep and a nice alternative to the beach. There was cable TV with lots of channel choices. WiFi was dependable. The only thing I would suggest is new pillows and a longer couch as you can't stretch out.

Some guests prefer soft pillows and others firmer ones and replacement of various items is ongoing as needed. Our air-conditioning units were both replaced two months ago. The published details of our unit have always specified that only the bedrooms are air conditioned.

I was unsure if I should book this apartment but because the reviews were good and it was near the beach we did make a reservation.
The approach is via a rutted unlit road and the property is quite isolated.
Delia met us and explained everything and showed us a path behind the pool as a short cut back to the paved road. This path was two sets of steep steps without handrails! Not ideal in the dark even with a torch.
The apartment is quite dark the only natural light coming from the front door and terrace doors both with bars across which indicates a security issue. The fly screens were damaged but patched up instead of being replaced. The chairs on the balcony were plastic, one with a thick plastic cover and only low wooden garden tables no table for eating outside on the balcony.
The appliances and furniture are very old likewise the cooker (powered by a gas cylinder ) and fridge. The kitchen bin wasn't clean with a supermarket bag in it and the microwave also wasn't clean.
The bed linen and cover was brown which only accentuated the overall feelng of darkness. The bathroom and bedrooms/linen were clean.
This apartment just didn't come up to our expectations and we left and arranged for Delia to collect the keys.
I advised Roger that we had decided not to stay. He did return our damage deposit promptly but beyond that didn't offer any apologise or assistance , in fact he stopped answering my emails.
I don't like complaining but there were so many things that just didn't come up to the standard we expected.
Very disappointed particular with Roger.
It is very clear to any discerning traveler what this individual is trying to do. He broke his agreement on the very day he was to check in and threatened that if he did not get some money back, he would write such a review. With spurious content, it is vindictively designed to negatively affect my good reputation and future business. As an example, he claims that we are isolated which is an untruth. He checked into the luxury Royal St. Lucian Hotel which is on the identical beach.
It is unfortunate that a few unconscionable people sometimes surface, but thankfully, it does not take away from my other wonderful experiences with the vast majority of my guests.
Property was amazing very friendly neighbors made for a perfect place to stay.

One of the biggest attractions is our World Heritage Pitons and the drive-in volcano in Soufriere.
Nearby is the award winning Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens where one may bathe in the warm spring water, in baths once used by French King Louis xiv's troops in the 18th Century.
Some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving is also located in this area, at the Anse Chastanet Hotel just minutes north of the town of Soufriere.
One of the most rewarding adventures could well be hiking our rain forest or even climbing the Gros Piton.
Yet closer to our condo in the north, Pigeon Point historic ruins and fort is a must see. Revel in its rich history dating back to the famous English Admiral Rodney and learn of his role and St. Lucia's in the great conflict for the New World.
