My sisters and I stayed at the Riverfront property and we loved it from the minute we drove up to the house. The house was in a perfect location, close to town but far enough away that made it feel like you had the area to yourself. There were fours of us and we felt the house was very roomy, nicely decorated & clean, extremely comfortable with very beautiful views. We loved how the trees framed in the beautiful deck as you looked out at the mountains. The stream below the house was really nice and we even had a beaver working in the stream that we could watch.
The BBQ was brand new and worked wonderfully, the house was stocked with all the cooking utensils ad essentials you could ask for. The bedrooms were very comfortable and nicely decorated.
All four of us would highly recommend this property, I know we will be using it again.
My family of 5 had a great stay at this house in August 2015. The house was pretty, spacious, clean and had everything that we needed. We were able to eat dinner on the deck overlooking the Sawtooth mountains on a beautiful night. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything that we needed (no dishwasher, but we did not find this to be a problem) and the bedding and towels were great. The only slight negative is that very few of the windows open, so the house can get stuffy; not a big deal for us because the nights were cool when we stayed, but could be an issue on a hot night. Overall, we had a great time and highly recommend!
This is an adjacent guest house to a much larger log home. While it was decorated very well and had a beautiful view of the river we found that it was fairly small ( we had 4 adults and 2 children). Only one window could be opened upstairs where the bedrooms were located, fans did provide some relief but still very warm sleeping conditions. The kitchen was not as well stocked as some other VRBO rentals we have stayed in. Ice machine for fridge was not working, gas BBQ grill was dirty and very poor quality. They did provide plenty of towels which was nice. I would recommend this cabin for a small group not in summer.
This house is extremely clean and neat, and well supplied with paper plates, sandwich bags, etc. The deck is shaded, and a great place to hang out and visit. If the weather doesn't cooperate, the living area is also very cozy and conducive to visiting with friends or family. The only problem with this house is that all the bedrooms are upstairs, and the ventilation is inadequate. Other than that, I would highly recommend this house. The bedding is very nice, and the furnishings are nice as well.
Great views, cute place. The cabin is very clean and well stocked. We loved the shaded outdoor dining area with views of the Sawtooth Mountains. It was great to be in walking distance of town and a hot spring. The weather was super hot, which isn't all that common for Stanley. The upstairs could use some better ventilation. The fans provided did help. Otherwise our time at this cabin was perfect.
Walk into Stanley (less than 1 mile) or head right out your door for both single and double track trails. Located on Valley Creek and less than .5 miles from the convergence to the Salmon river, river sports are just a stone's throw away. Epic views of the Sawtooth Mountains if staying close to home is more your style.
