We loved our stay at this apartment. Stefano was there to meet us when we arrived. He gave us great suggestions for restaurants and even supplied a welcome basket. My sister and I stayed at the apartment with my 3 children (13,11 and 8) and we loved it. The location could not be better, it is spacious and has everything that you need. I highly recommend this property.
We (family of 5) had a wonderful experience at this rental. First, and foremost, the location is amazing. Step out the door and within a 5 minute stroll you'll find dozens of great restaurants, with our favorite place three doors down. We ended every evening with ice cream and taking in the many sights and sounds of Piazza Navona, which is about a minute's walk. Almost all major attractions can be reached by foot. Less than 15 minutes to the Spanish steps, same distance in another direction to the Forum, and same distance in the other direction to the Vatican. We never had any need for taxis or public transportation.
The apartment itself is a gem. A centuries-old palazzo was converted into several apartments and you can just picture carriages pulling into the courtyard. Though devoid of much natural light - really a non-issue since we were out and about during the day - the place has incredible charm due to its hefty wooden beams.
Everything was very clean and ready for our arrival, including sheets and towels. Stefano met us at the apartment and showed us (patiently) how everything worked, plus marked on a map the nearest grocery stores. In addition, he had a little holiday gift for us since we arrived the day after Christmas. Before and during our trip, he was extremely responsive to all email and text message inquiries.
We had a fantastic experience with this wonderful apartment and with Stefano, and would absolutely stay here again should we return to Rome. Can only highly recommend it!
We booked the apartment based on the multiple five star reviews. The apartment's main attraction is its location one block off the Piazza Navona.
The apartment is a three bedroom unit with a family room, kitchen and two bathrooms. The bathroom serving the two smaller rooms has a shower. The bathroom serving the larger bedroom only has a bathtub. This wasn't a particular problem but it would have been nice if both bathrooms had a shower.
The kitchen is small but functional. It would be hards to cook a full on family meal but it was perfect for what it was.
Access to the apartment is though a locked door at the street and then through a locked gate to get to the courtyard. The door is in the courtyard and the apartment is up one flight of (narrow, circular) stairs. We didn't have a problem bringing three large suitcases up and down but it is good to point out.
We stayed over Christmas. The heat and hot water worked perfectly. Beds, linens, condition, kitchen were all very good.
The owner was very nice and accommodating. I would stay here again.
6 of us stayed here for 4 days and loved the apartment and location. Stephano was very helpful, gave us a tour of the apartment, left us breakfast treats and arranged taxis for our departure. It looks just like the photos, with a charming courtyard, old beams and plenty of space. Main attractions, from the Vatican to the Coloseum, are a short walk away, with a taxi rank at the end of the road for those preferring transportation and there are plenty of restaurants, stores, gelato stops and bars immediately around the apartment. It is entered via very steep, very narrow winding stairs which could be a concern for those with very large suitcases or unsteady feet. The kitchen is very small for cooking, but provides the basics for breakfast and snack preparation. Would gladly stay there again next time we are lucky enough to travel to Rome.
My 3 friends and I recently stayed 8 nights in Stefano's apartment. From my first enquiry Stefano was always quick to reply.
On arrival Stefano met us at the apartment and showed us around. He also left a breakfast package for us - most appreciated.
The apartment is large as per the photos - 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Lots of living space and dining table.
The kitchen is small though and a bit lacking in some supplies for those eating in. No wine glasses for example!
Otherwise it is in a fantastic location right near Piazza Navona and close to Campo di Fiori and loads of cafes and restaurants.
Would definitely recommend the apartment for a great stay in Roma!
Our family of six stayed three nights in Rome at Stefano's terrific apartment. Our family consisted of four 30-something children and two 60 year old parents. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!! Why? Because from first contact with Stefano everything went very smoothly. Every question answered quickly and kindly. Meeting and welcoming us to his apartment at our convenience! The apartment was perfect for us with three bed rooms and two baths, the large sitting room, dining room combo worked great for us. And the small kitchen had everything we needed. There are a lot of small steps in the apartment, a large circular stone staircase to enter, but it caused us no problems. The great ceilings and stone and tile floors add so much charm and character! So much better than a hotel room. The apartment is located in a quite courtyard, and the air-conditioners worked great. Plenty of towels, comfortable beds and pillows. We did have a small problem with the wifi reception. We loved the location, right behind the Piazza Navona. We walked easily to the Vatican, and the Roman Forum. We would love more time in Rome and would definitely stay at this apartment anytime we visit.
