Perfect Apartment in Central Rome
My husband and two daughters, ages 11 and 13, just spent the week in Stefano’s wonderful apartment in Rome. The apartment was perfect! Absolutely all of the major sites of the city are in walking distance. We didn’t need to get in a moving vehicle all week. The neighborhood has tons and tons of great restaurants and shops. Best of all, after a day of walking many miles to explore the city it was so nice to know that we had a comfortable home away from home where each family member had enough personal space to escape to and relax. I highly recommend Stefano’s apartment and have already given his information to a friend that is planning a trip to Rome next year.
Wonderful apartment in the middle of the action
We chose to stay here for the location—just steps to Piazza Navona, and a few more steps to Campo d’Fiori and the Pantheon. It didn’t disappoint. The apartment, in a building dating back to the 13th century, is comfortable, convenient, and is bursting at the seams with charm. We walked virtually everywhere but for the couple times we needed a taxi, the stand was just across the piazza. (We also used the myTaxi app—a huge help when we weren’t close to a stand.) Yes, it is right in the heart of the tourist area, so you have to search a bit for better food, but there’s plenty to be had within a short walk (use TripAdvisor)—we loved Arancio d’Oro, Ditirambo, and Il Desiderio Preso per la Coda. The only knock is that if the people upstairs are active, you’ll hear it. Still, it was a minor inconvenience. Stefano was great, helping us book a taxi from the airport and stocking the kitchen with some essentials (I hadn’t experienced that before and it was incredibly helpful). It was a wonderful experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it if you’re looking for a vacation in the middle of the action.
A gorgeous spacious apartment near Piazza Navona
A gorgeous apartment with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Lots of light through the large windows into a central courtyard. Very close to all the shops. I highly recommend this apartment. Easily sleeps six people very comfortably.
Centrally located, clean and comfortable
We arrived in Rome and was picked up by a car that Stefano had arranged for us (upon our request) and then was greeted by Stefano's cousin who walked us through the apartment and helped us get settled. The apartment was as advertised, very spacious and very comfortable. The living room/dining area were perfect for sitting in the evenings and regrouping during the day. We rarely took a cab anywhere, as the apartment was centrally located and we walked almost everywhere. The restaurants right around the block were delicious, so even when we did not feel like going far, we could walk outside and enjoy a fabulous dinner. We highly recommend the apartment--it was worth every cent!! Thank you Stefano for making our stay so memorable!
Fantastic place in a great location!
We had a great stay here. Plenty of room for 6 of us to hang out in the living room at the end of the day. Bedrooms were quiet and comfortable. Plenty of hot water in roomy bathrooms, too. Kitchen is a bit tight, but if you only plan to use it for breakfast, making sandwiches for a later picnic, and keeping your evening beer cold, it's perfect.
If you're at all familiar with Rome, you know the location can NOT be beat! Right in the heart of the city making everything walkable. Our method is to take a cab to the farthest sight we'll be visiting for the day, therefore getting an early start and saving the strain on our feet, then making our way back to the apartment on foot, seeing all there is to see on the way. The location is also great for restaurants, bars, sandwich shops, bakeries, and groceries, all plentiful in the neighborhood and within a short walk.
Stefano was a perfect host. We arrived earlier than expected, but he was right there at the front door waiting when we pulled up. He had a tray of items to get us started for breakfast and the refrigerator was even stocked with milk, juice, and butter.
Really great place to stay that I would definitely return to!!
Outstanding location; Warm and comfortable place - like home!
You could tell Stefano really cares about his renters. He left us roses, a tray of breakfast items and snacks, extra toilet paper and towels, etc. It’s the little things that make us feel welcome and comfortable. The heat worked very well and was moist heat. The location can’t be beat. We walked everywhere!! The rooms were well sized and beds and pillows comfortable. The master bed was a little small but there is a twin in the room which provided more room. The Wi-Fi worked best in the living room which allowed us much more family time than usual. We watched many movies in English during downtime on the new tv. The apartment has a fabulous washer/dryer that worked super well and was easy to use. Stefano supplied soap. Loved the apartment!
