The home is made for fun! It boasts 4 levels and with 3575 square feet of living space can accommodate even the largest of groups comfortably. Three separate living spaces throughout the home make it easy to come together and enjoy some company or retreat for some relaxation time to yourself. With a beautiful stone stairwell as a centerpiece of the home, hardwood flooring, three levels of outdoor space, 8 flat screen TVs with DirecTV (a TV in EVERY room with over 50 movie channels and NFL Package!) and a beautiful wood burning fireplace in the game room, along with a Foosball table, casino table, and access to the outdoor hot tub, and regulation size horseshoe pit, this home suits everyone!

The kitchen sits on the main floor and is home to beautiful tiling, a sitting area with 50' flat screen tv, a huge rustic bench-style table, and all the accouterments one would need to cook for the entire group. The sliding glass door opens up to a wonderful deck overlooking the pine trees in the back yard. Moving upstairs is the queen bedroom suite with private bath and private living area including another 50' flat screen tv, futon, and kitchenette.

One level below the kitchen there are three guest bedrooms. The Master Suite has an attached private bath and jetted Jacuzzi tub, and a beautiful deck with access to the back yard. Also on this level are the bunk room with full sized bunk beds, the queen guest room, and a full bath. Each bedroom throughout features a flat screen TV and Directv programming.

The bottom level hosts a king bedroom with tv and huge walk-in closet, the game room featuring a foos ball table, 50' flat screen tv, comfortable couches, a wood burning fireplace, and a game table with several casino style games (Roulette, Blackjack, Craps, and Texas Hold'em). Walking out to the back patio you will find the fully fenced yard with a wonderful hot tub under the pines, a regulation sized horseshoe pit, a bbq grill, and a chiminea to keep your toes warm as you watch the stars go by.

You will be just minutes from I-17 and I-40, and surrounded by a reputable variety of dining and shopping options. The Arizona Snowbowl is a quick half-hour drive, and offers world class skiing at a family friendly resort. One of the seven Wonders of the World, the Grand Canyon, is just over an hour’s drive north, providing some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. A multitude of activities are also available at the Canyon, including helicopter rides, donkey rides and hiking.

Be sure to ask for advice on hiking or cycling trips, ski/snowboard lessons and rentals, cross country ski and snowshoe trails, sledding areas, as well as any of the dozens of Flagstaff area attractions.

Amazing Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

Perfect place to stay close to flagstaff and have enough space and comfort for the whole group. Everything we needed was at the cabin. Would love to stay there again on our next flagstaff trip. The game room was a great location on the first floor where all the noise wouldn't be heard in the upper levels. I recommend this place to anyone with a larger group of people looking for a place to stay close to Flagstaff.

House is gorgeous

Rating Details:

The property manager was more than helpful.

The vacation rental was spotless.

I was very happy with the location.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

Reviewer Comments:

The house is great and large enough for a big group. While A/C is not usually necessary in Flagstaff and is certainly NOT standard in homes in the area, note that this one does not have it. We were visiting during an act of God heat wave and certainly needed AC - the reason for my lower ratings. The heat made the top floor very uncomfortable and made cooking in the 88 degree kitchen impossible.

Owner's Response: We are so surprised at the poor star rating of this review! This guest even told us in an email that they loved the house and that it was the "best house we have ever rented"!! It seems that the 2 stars should be attributed only to nature but not to this beautiful home! Flagstaff is not usually as warm as during this stay but even so there are venting fans to draw cool air into the home in the evening and other guests have been very comfortable, even during that unusually warm period. We even supplied several extra space fans to try to make things more comfortable! It's disappointing that the temperature outdoors can bring down an otherwise great experience, however we are very grateful for your visit and hope that you'll consider us for your next trip to Northern Arizona, maybe for the fall colors!!

The layout of the house is awkward and uninviting. There is no A/C in the house (as stated) and the fan in the kitchen did not work, making meal prep hot and uncomfortable. The ice maker did not work. The advertised price per night seems reasonable, but after additional fees and taxes are added, we paid well over the advertised price per night which is too much for this house. House instructions were finally emailed to us 3 days before our trip (after I had to ASK for them ) and stated that although we had paid an additional pet fee, our little dog was not allowed in any of the bedrooms. I will say that the beds were comfortable and everyone slept well. If all you want is a bed and a shower, this house would be adequate but I feel it is overpriced. Apparently I am not allowed to post what we paid for the house but believe me, it was TOO MUCH.

Owner's Response: Wow, what a disappointing review. A cleaning fee and Flagstaff's high tax rate are fully disclosed and we've certainly never seen a vacation rental without these items. The price of this wonderful 5 bedroom home that sleeps 14 people is a heck of a value, very competitive with other homes of similar size and even lower than some hotels in Flagstaff. Flagstaff does, after all, have one of the highest costs of housing in the nation. This guest began asking for our Arrival Information well over a month before their stay (we normally send it out at approximately 10 days) and we sent them out early at 17 days to satisfy their request. We even accommodated this guest when they reserved the wrong dates in their original inquiry and asked us to move their reservation. The layout of this home is wonderful and some guests have even told us it is the best home they've ever vacationed in! The home is built on a hillside in one of Flagstaff's charming forested neighborhoods. It is 4 stories and the bottom living area with a wonderful patio is a great place for families and groups to gather. There is an upstairs living area that is a great place for larger groups to have separate space. It is very uncommon for any home in Flagstaff to have air conditioning and the high in Flagstaff the day of this guest's arrival was 74 degrees. We do ask that pets not be allowed on the furniture or beds. This is a very common courtesy that many people appreciate in their own homes as well as others. We manage properties for many different owners and it is after all, someone else's house and we simply respect their wishes. We feel it was very unreasonable to offer a 1 star review. We have a full time guest services and maintenance staff and we have even gone to the home at guests request to bring space fans (for the days later in June that did end up getting much hotter). This guest never contacted us to tell us about any of the maintenance items and they are now on our list to fix. We do a great job of responding to guests needs and a simple phone call may have alleviated some of their issues. If you are looking for a great house to vacation in Northern Arizona we think you'll have a much different reaction than this unhappy guest did.

We had a great time!!!

  • 4 of 5

We had a family reunion and we slept comfortably...there was enough space for everyone. The one concern we did have was the upstairs unit with a small was extremely hot in Flagstaff the weekend we stayed there and there was only one small window to ventilate the room. It was stuffy and some of my family members did not sleep comfortably. We contacted the owner about it but they stated to "open the windows"...only thing is there are no windows to open...air circulation was very poor.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your stay, I'm thrilled that you enjoyed this large, comfortable home! I apologize that some of your party weren't comfortable upstairs. I believe you spoke with our guest services assistant late in the evening and they did not tell you about the home circulation fan as well as the exhaust fan upstairs that cools the place down nicely! It rarely gets that hot in Flagstaff but the home does have some fans to move the air and keep it comfortable. I'm glad that everything else in the home was great and that you enjoyed a great time in Flagstaff!!
