About the property

Single family home, 4 master bedrooms Retreats, 2 porches and a roof top terrac

My gorgeous house with everything you need to enjoy a few days in Nashville! But the best part - Only mins to downtown! Only about an $6 Uber or Lyft ride to the entertainment district!

SORRY. No Bachelor or Bachelorette Parties!!!

Has 4 Master Retreats, 3 of the Retreats have wet-bars with mini fridge and dining areas and all have sitting areas and 42' Flat Screen TV's. Each bedroom has its own bath!!

Living room has a sleeper sofa (memory foam!)

2 covered porches and also a roof top terrace with a great view of the downtown skyline especially at night!!

To get downtown, you have many choices:

- Walk 2 blocks to the Music City Circuit stop (free downtown bus service from 6AM - 6PM)

- Take a 25 minute walk (My favorite! Along the way browse Farmers Market, then checkout Bicentennial park, then take the capital steps up to the State capital building(check out the view!), then on to War Memorial Plaza and your downtown! Just a short walk down Church St to the entertainment district, and you have to walk out on the pedestrian bridge over the Cumberland River just for the view of Nashville!!

- Take a $6 Lift or Uber ride (Second best choice!!)

- Less than 2 mile drive ( but parking will cost you..especially on the busy weekends!)

Great restaurants nearby:

Rolf & Daughters - #3 Best New Restaurant in America 2013

Monell's - When in Nashville do what the locals do…Pass the Peas..Please! Great Southern Food served Family Style in Historic Settings. Skillet Fried Chicken, Green ...

Germantown Cafe - Germantown Café has become a reliable fixture on Nashville's dining scene by offering fresh, creative cuisine at reasonable prices, as well as a fully-stocked bar

Garden Brunch Café - Nashville's premier brunch venue! Experience our unique renditions of Eggs Benedict, our seasonal variations of pancake delicacies, ...

Farmers Market - Multiple eating establishments!! to many to list but a few of my favorites are:

El Buritto Mexicano - I go here for a great breakfast..3 egg Western Omelet, hash-browns and toast only $5.50!!

B & C Market BBQ - Southern BBQ done right!!

About Richard Goddard

I will do my best to provide a great place to stay while you are in Nashville! I am a single Dad with 2 great kids off to college! I built this home last year and love living near downtown Nashville. I am an avid walker and most weeks put in 15 to 20 miles just walking from my home to the Historical Germantown area, Bicentennial Mall State Park, Farmers Market, State Capital, Legislative Plaza, TPAC, then on to Lower Broad, 2nd Ave, and Riverfront park where all the honky tonks are located! That total distance is just a little over 2 miles each way.

I was in the USAF and Tennessee Air Guard for 13 years where i was a navigator on C-130's. After my military life i became a General Contractor and started my own business. After being in the country for so long i decided to try the city life. I bought a vacant lot in this historical overlay district and loved it. I do love this neighborhood.

I also love to hike the mountains! I have summed 3 12,000 foot peaks in the Rockies and last summer my son and I summed 14,254 foot Long's Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. I must admit - it kicked my ass ... but wow!... what a view! Leaves no doubt there is a God! I also love to kayak and travel. But the best times are with the kids. We love to play strategy board games..Settlers of Catan, Acquire, and Cashflow. I love Axis and Allies, but its hard to get them to play that! I also play in a Texas holdem Poker League...for points...not for cash!

UPDATE: That's my first grandbaby...Walt....Born 19 November 2012!!

Richard Goddard purchased this house in 2012

Why Richard Goddard chose Nashville

This is a new house I designed and built. All the suites are soundproofed between each unit, and each unit has its own lockable door. The big plus is that its only about $6 taxi fare to the downtown entertainment district or 2 blocks over to the Music City Circuit stop (free downtown loop bus service 6AM thru 6PM), or 25 min walk!

No Taxes..No Cleaning Fees..No Deposit.

But take care of my home!!!

The house and neighborhood were wonderful. Richard's little touches made us feel welcome.

  • 5 of 5

Nice quiet location, very clean with personal touches like you'd get at an expensive hotel. The 4 masters were wonderful and gave each couple privacy when they wanted it. It was a short walk to the free city circuit express bus and grocery store, gas station and eating establishments were a 5 minute walk.

Fantastic Downtown Nashville property

  • 5 of 5

I almost don't want to write a review as I'd like to keep this gem all to myself! Seriously though, we were 4 couples who were simply blown away by how beautiful, clean and well-appointed this property is. The location is on a quiet street very close to downtown, and ride sharing cars arrive within minutes. Inside, the owner has spared no expense in making this home an absolute oasis from the 4 star hotel bedding and pillows to the lead crystal wine goblets. It’s the extent to which the smaller things have been considered that really demonstrate how much love and devotion has been put into this property. I cannot recommend enough, HomeAway don't provide enough stars to review this home properly!

We could not have picked a better place.

  • 5 of 5

We are a party of 10 and loved this place. The house was spotless when we arrived. Several amazing extras. Keurig's with different pods, furniture and bathrooms (excellent TP) in beautiful condition, sheets amazing, wine glasses, Nashville guides and on & on. Every room was well equipped and the main room was our gathering place. We made breakfast for 10 in the main area and had everything we needed to make that a special meal. It is obvious the owner takes pride in this home. Planning our next trip and going to book this house early.

Thanks Rick

From the moment we walked in the door we knew we picked the right place for us to stay!!

  • 5 of 5

We booked this for us and three other couples. We loved that everyone had there own space as well as the common space to use!! All the rooms met our needs and then some! We loved the balcony and utilized it every night!! It was close enough to walk to town, if you don't mind a little bit of a walk, and uber rides were cheap from the downtown core. We found some great restaurants in Germantown and a grocery store was close by ( although it is good to know you cannot buy wine on Sundays at the grocery store, just a heads up). Owner was quick to respond if we had a question or needed to share that the air conditioner was not working in the upstairs bedroom. Well kept property and highly recommend it, if we visit Nashville again would rent this in a heartbeat!!
