Loved the area but condo wasn't clean

Property had not been cleaned I had to go in cleaning , sanitizing and washing the linen before we could get settled in but after we really enjoyed our stay ! plenty of activities , restaurants , nightlife etc....

we do a very thorough cleaning after each guest, two professional cleaning ladies work for 3 hours after each departure and do a fine job-- we also provide barsoap, shampoo, handsoap, dishsoap, quality trashbags, paper towels, toilet paper, and tissue paper new for each arriving guest---thank you

Location of condo was good for enjoying the Harbor walk village but really had to drive to the beach. Was a different experience that we really enjoyed as far as the location and something different although i prefer being on the beach. You coukd easily walk to multiple restaurants and the harbor dock village. Would recommend more for adults as kids were bored and didnt care much for this pool. Condo was very roomy and nice inside but could stand for some upgrades and it was not real clean. Master bed was very uncomfortable and we cud feel the springs. Also sheets looked dirty as well as other areas of the condo. We washed our sheets when we got there. Pool was average.

A beautiful 2-bedroom condo for less than a hotel room!

Captain Mark and Miss Melody are wonderful hosts/managers! Very thorough and accommodating. The condo was very nice and right on the east end of the famous "Boardwalk"! A three minute walk to exceptional restaurants, boat rides, trips to Crab Island,, jet skis,, and so much more! Our condo had a well equipped kitchen with a huge fridge and plenty of dishes, pots, and pans. The bedrooms and baths were nicely appointed, with a large tub and walk-in shower in the master. The mattresses were very comfortable. the only issue we had was that the pillows were super thin, and there were no linens for the sofa-bed in the living room. Had that been a serious issue, I have no doubt that a call to Miss Melody would have resolved it. We WILL happily stay here again!

Nice property. Convenient to everything. Gated.

There was no hooks anywhere to hang towels, swimwear etc. Outdoor furniture is worn/dirty. Outside patio outlet doesn't work. No extra blankets for sofa bed. Mattress not in good condition. Pillows need replacing. Had to go out and buy pillows and plastic clothes hangers. Wire hangers was warped n unusable. Doorbell make a strange noise when used.

So much to do so little time

We had a great experience with both VRBO and both of the top notch property managers: Ms Melody and Captain Mark, They were both a delight to work with and made our great experience happen. Additionally, this location is unbeatable for walking access to many excellent food/drink and entertainment options. I would highly recommend this location as one of the best in Destin

This was a great location close to the boardwalk and restaurants.

This was perfect for our needs. We could park and walk to many restaurants or activities. The management of the property were great to work with. We were very happy with the condition of the condo. We had plenty of space for the four of us.

Nice place, beautiful view, and walking distance to everything! I absolutely loved the “Harbor Walk” area. I will definitely be back and will stay here again! The hostess was very nice and helpful. My fur baby also enjoyed her stay here! I would like the side gate to be opened for easier access to the harbor area, but other than that this place is a dream!

Great Location

The location was perfect for bringing our boat with us and being able to dock it at the marina that the property was on. Walking distance to Harbor Walk Village. Great night life. Short boat ride to Crab Island. Great trip!

Destin Barataria - At it's Finest!

To begin with the Property Managers, Capt. Mark and Melody, were absolutely wonderful. They made our family feel right at home, from the time we arrived until we headed out. They had great recommendations for places to eat and Capt Mark was kind enough to set-up a Fishing Charter for us and he even joined us on the trip. The unit was great, well decorated and very clean! Walked right in the door grabbed a cold beverage and headed out to the balcony to check out the Marina. Everything that we needed was already in place, with the exception of the cold beverage (of course). Would recommend the condo to any of our friends, and even those who are not! As for Destin, outside of the traffic (haha), it's a great place to visit, especially if you love the water. Thanks Again, Pete, Donna, Max and Matt.

Good location but needs improvements.

Grabbed this rental at last minute due to scheduling changes at work therefore I simply went by location at this point. Was called ahead of time to verify time of arrival which was ok, arrived where I met the woman that went over the “rules and guidelines” as I signed a paper, for handed 2 sets of keys, each with the entry gate clicker. Now for the bad, as we brought our stuff in we started noticing things right off. Master bed had a huge stain on the comforter, the light bulbs was mismatched in color temp, dryer was full of lent and had not been cleaned before our arrival whatsoever, the sleeper sofa bedding had crumbs and trash in it along with it not being cleaned, the fire alarm battery was going dead so we had to listen to that, the master closet light was going out and would flicker as if it had a short, that’s just some of the things, curious after reading this if I will be refunded my cleaning fee as the place was not clean whatsoever before we got in there. We washed the sleeper sofa bedding, all towels(of course) and pillow cases before us leaving. Now for the good, again, it’s in a good location as the boat dock is literally in front of this place....but the door to go down is blocked so you have to go outside the entry vehicle gate through the parking lot and around which sucks. Decent food and shopping within a short walking distance which helped. It did come with Wifi which was good, no laundry detergent or even a sample to have things washed before leaving. Someone shouldn’t have to make trips to Walmart to gather cleaning supplies for a place that should offer these items let alone give enough for the stay. There was 2 dishwashing detergent pods left for the record. Will we stay here again? Probably not, whoever this condo is, perhaps they are content with everything how it is and that is understandable but leasing out to clients it’s not good business. Everything should be in great condition and up to date. My opinion. Reason behind the 3 stars is the mainly the location.

The "woman", is our Hostess, she makes sure that the unit is clean and nice for each arriver and then she kindly welcomes them with all the info they need to enjoy our property and our surrounds. The Hostess also provides soaps, paper products, trash bags, even microwave popcorn for late arrivers that are hungry. She also lives here and does a great job. There are no problems with lights, smoke alarms or cleanliness, we have welcomed over 200 groups into this condo, year round for 6 years. thank you

Everything you would want to do on vacation is right at your fingertips, boating ,resturants, swimming pool the Barataria has it all, The best view in Destin.

Great stay, looking forward to next year

We were most interested in location for easy non-driving access to the daily Fishing Rodeo weigh ins. Got it! Perfect place for anyone wanting to spend lots of time at Harbor Walk Village - watching any game at any of the many restaurants, attending any of the many events held there throughout the year such as Seafood Festival, doing Sunday Brunch, etc. - without the hassle of finding parking or worrying about getting home if you've had some drinks. The place wouldn't qualify for Southern Living, which was fine with us but understand that some people are looking for that. It's an older place that hasn't been updated but was in good condition. All appliances worked just fine and counter and storage space was more than adequate which was important to us. The furniture and dishes were a mishmash but in good condition, more than adequate, and served their purpose. The place was very comfortable, which also does matter to us. The rooms were adequate size, larger than at most other places we've stayed at. Good TV channel selection on main living area TV. TV's in bedrooms were old, but we never turned them on so don't know if they had the same selection. WiFi worked great throughout the condo and on balcony and grounds, a problem we've had at other places. Lighting was also good, another problem we’ve had at other places. We spent hours sitting on balcony happily listening to great music from a close by establishment, but we didn't hear it at all when we were inside the condo. There were trees that blocked a lot of but not all of the view. A one minute walk brought great sunset views and front row seats to the Thur or Sat nite fireworks. The owner provided the usual stuff, but also bottled water and ice which we've never been provided before. You'll need to bring tissues and if you will have any food leftovers to store either ziploc bags or plastic containers, and of course personal toiletries and the like. Can't stress enough how the owner, who lives in the facility, was really really friendly but didn’t bother us without our initiation (had to add a potential overnight guest's car type and a dog visitor, no problem)! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to stay on the harbor.

Close to everything

This condo was right in the middle of all the action. We just parked the car and walked everywhere. Apartment was clean and had all you need. We only used it for sleeping as there is so much to do just outside the door

Nice, quiet retreat in the middle of all the harbor activities.

These condos are 3 buildings back from the main road so it had a private feeling away from the street. There are cafes and restaurants on both sides and the harbor out your back balcony view. We sat on the balcony one night and listened to the entertainer at the little pub on the harbor. The condo had everything you needed and was roomy. Nice kitchen and bathrooms. Ours had all tile floor which was nice. We rented a pontoon which was steps away and spent one day at Crab Island which is also close by. No direct beach front, but we traded that for the harbor. Next time fishing! AJ's is next door, and Margaritaville a short walk on the boardwalk. We tried both, great food and Dipp'n Dots ice cream on the street front as we walked back. For a family or small group this is a great spot. Coming back!

Perfect vacation

I was looking for a vacation area for my men to go deep sea fishing and boy did I find it. This place was perfect for this and more. Located directly on the Harbor in Destin with all of the amenities. Everything that you need and most of what you want is here. The condo is excellent with the perfect layout. We will definitely reserve this unit again. Exceptional# More that I expected#

Beautiful property

I must say, the pictures don't do this property any justice! It was beautiful, very well kept, and nicely decorated. All furniture was nice, yet comfortable and there was way more space than the pictures indicated. My family and I will be back. HIGHLY recommend!

Great location

This place is in a great location for walking to bars, restaurants, and shopping. If you don't mind not being on the beach this is the place to stay. Our condo was in very good condition with all we needed. If they had wifi I would have given 5 stars.

Musical perch above the boardwalk

A very different but fun destination than our first trip to Destin. This place is definitely more of the lively and nightlife friendly places to stay. Plenty of music, people and action on the boardwalk right off your back patio. It was a welcomed difference and we enjoyed our stay, which is always way too short. Good place to relax, close to lots of great seafood and restaurants and nightlife if you want music and a little partying. Enjoyable view to watch the boats come and go in the harbor too.
