Best Location On The Wine Trail!
Private Big Time.
Loved how the cabin was well off the beaten path. Seemed pretty secluded but not isolated from society. The creek was serene and tranquil. Great to relax and unwind in the hot tub with a glass of local wine and listen to the sounds from the creek. Great little weekend getaway destination! Cabin was clean and well stocked. Very cozy feel to it. Not far from many local wineries on the wine trail.
Cabin on the Creek was exactly what we were looking for! It felt secluded, but was within 20 minutes driving distance to great hikes, restaurants, and shops. It was quiet, cozy, and comfortable. We did most of our cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and spent hours curled up on the cozy couch/ chairs reading. The hot tub was a perfect spot to spend the cold February nights with a gorgeous view of the stars before the trees bloomed. If the weather would have been slightly warmer, we would have spent time on the sweet screened in porch or deck watching the creek and creatures.
The owner, Brian, was awesome to work with-- felt like a friend. Checked in to be sure we were comfortable and happy.
We decided in our first 30 minutes at the cabin, that it would become an annual trip for us.
Brian (the owner) provided excellent customer service including pointing us in the right direction for tourist attractions. He was prompt to answer any questions or concerns that arose prior to, during, or after our stay.
As far as the cabin it is as described secluded, cozy, and has a hot tub facing the creek/wooded area. The hot tub served nicely on a cool rainy Saturday afternoon. The cabin is in close proximity to several wineries and nature attractions. It was nice to get away to relax and not hear the sound of a cell phone going off.
We will be returning to this location as it is not to far from home for a weekend get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
What made this stay 5/5 stars was definitely Brian! He was extremely helpful at answering any questions we had and very quick at responding whether it was a text, e-mail, or phone call. Extremely friendly and easy to work with.
The cabin itself was also great! Perfect size, beautiful woods around, calming creek right in the back yard, and just the perfect mix of modern and "cabin-y" interior. Bed was comfy, stove was great, couch and chairs were good, shower was hot and nice, everything else was great!
The only things I would note is that we had zero phone signal there (both good and bad), there's no dishwasher, no wifi, the tv signal was spotty on certain channels at times, and the cabin is still next to a road aka not down a path and super secluded. These are minor things, but just to take note. I would 100% recommend this cabin to any and every one!
The Cabin on the Creek although convenient to the Shawnee Wine Trail is secluded. It is a great place to unwind to the sound of the creek under a sky full of stars with a loved one. The Cabin presents the opportunity to unplug from many of the World's distractions. It is a wonderful place to fall in love again!
I reserved this cabin for my sister's bachelorette party, a group of six, and it couldn't have been better. Our favorite part was the deck overlooking the creek, we spent almost all of our time out there. There's two bathrooms, which is awesome for six women! The one bedroom has a queen sized bed, a futon that pulls down to a bed, and an air mattress. It easily accommodated all of us comfortably. We didn't use the fire pit area but it looked really nice. Yhe decor was updated and modern, it was peelected. The kitchen is nicely stocked with anything you'd need to prepare quick meals.
Brian was very nice, he checked in on us, and responded quickly to questions.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience!
