seclusion and tranquillity

  • 5 of 5

Loved how the cabin was well off the beaten path. Seemed pretty secluded but not isolated from society. The creek was serene and tranquil. Great to relax and unwind in the hot tub with a glass of local wine and listen to the sounds from the creek. Great little weekend getaway destination! Cabin was clean and well stocked. Very cozy feel to it. Not far from many local wineries on the wine trail.

Winery Weekend

  • 4 of 5

The location was the perfect amount of seclusion and being close to the wineries, a few restaurants, and a beautiful scenic outlook. This cabin was a great get away that had easy access to many wineries, 3 of which are within a 10 minute drive. I would suggest Hedman's Vineyard(very close), Von Jakob Vineyard(very close), Blue Sky Vineyard (15 mile drive), and to eat the Trails End Lodge (very close). And this cabin had great access to each! I stayed at this cabin with 2 other girls and it was plenty of room for the three of us, and none of us had to share a bed or fought over mirror space when getting ready!

We had plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, and soap. All the basic necessities were met. The bathrooms were plenty big enough, plenty of hot water, comfortable furniture, great outdoor furniture.

While I don't have much to complain about the cabin was missing a few items like a can opener and a pan to cook in the oven (cookie sheet or pizza pan or cake pan would have been nice). Also, the coffee maker (would take about 2 hours to make only about 2 cups) and air mattress (seemed to have a little leak) were available but we had some issues getting either of them to work to their full potential.

It would have also been nice if there was a landline available or internet as the phone reception is basically non-existent, just so we could check in with family to let them know we arrived or in case of emergency, but this was also nice and forced you to disconnect and nature.

All in all this was a wonderful cabin and we had a really great time. It was well stocked (plates, towels, shampoo, movies), very nicely decorated, had a good view, had enough space, a very nice deck and screened in porch. Would have liked to stay longer but will go back again.

This cabin is perfect for the weekend getaway. It's comfortable and clean with all the necessities of home. It is nestled in the forest next to a serene creek. We loved the property inside and out. The owner was very accommodating we we spoke to him at the time of booking and just prior to arrival. We highly recommend this cabin.

Absolutely Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

This place is amazing. The creek is what makes this cabin! I could have sat on the deck and listened to the sound of that creek all day long, It was the perfect weekend getaway for my boyfriend and I. The location is perfect too. We spent one day at Giant City walking the trails and fishing in the ponds and another day winery hopping. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning as soon as we can!
