2Bd, 2 Bath Queen Sofa/Sleeper On 1st Floor Next To Pool
This unit is located on the first floor and has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. One bedroom features a king bed. The other bedroom has 2 full/double beds. The unit also includes a queen sofa/sleeper.
The bedroom with 2 full beds has a walk through closet to the bathroom.
The other bathroom is located in the hall between the bedrooms and is convenient to the living area.
The kitchen is complete with all cooking utensils, kitchen gadgets and dishes you will need during your stay.
We have recently updated the unit. We want you to be as comfortable as possible during your vacation - with nice furnishings and a comfortable environment to help you get into a relaxation mode.
The pool is a few steps from the front door. Beach access is on the far side of the pool. Enjoy the beautiful Florida sunrises and sunsets from the patio area around the pool or on the beach. Should the beach be under an advisory for rough waters, there is access to the calm waters of the sound on the other side of the island.
We provide free beach service of two chairs and an umbrella from March1 through October 31. Additional chairs are available in the unit. Additional chairs and/or umbrellas may also be rented directly from the beach service vendor.
The complex has a community grill area. You will be able to visit the many local grocery stores to stock up on the food and snacks you will want to enjoy during your visit.
There are coin-operated washers and dryers available on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors.
SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED INSIDE THE UNIT - there are receptacles on the tables by the pool for disposing of smoking materials.
During peak rental periods we have a Saturday check-in/check-out. Stays may not cross over a weekend during any rental during peak rental times. Those times where a minimum stay is 7 nights, the check in and check out days will be Saturday.

We live in Gulfport, MS. This unit is a perfect place for a getaway. We fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. We have a relative who has been in the owner vacation rental business for over 20 years has two units in this complex, also.That relative was kind enough to let us know this beautiful place had a unit for sale. We are happy to have this resource available to us to make your home away from home the best possible. We want you to stay in a place we are proud to say is ours - and that you are comfortable to refer your friends and family. Great location, perfect for families but outdated and needs repair
First all the owners were great, very responsive and the process was seamless. The condo is in a great secluded location and had plenty of space for our family of 5. The bathroom not being IN the master didn't cause us any major issues but I could see where others could have an issue if 2 sets of couples were staying here. We rented this unit due to the first floor (we have 3 small kids) and the direct access to the beautiful, non crowded beach.
The reason I have to to give this 3 stars is that the condo was in need of repairs. We first opened the door and a baseboard fell over my feet. Apparently the owner had some work done right before we got there and this was left over. There were missing baseboards, holes in the ceiling with plaster peeling off (right above the front door) and some weird ceiling in both bathrooms, and a significant amount of rust on the bathroom shower curtain. In regards to safety, in both bedrooms there is exposed electrical wires running across the ceiling (not sure that is even allowed by electrical code).
The other main issue I had is that you cannot get away from cigarette smoke at this unit. Every time we went in or out it was like a wall hitting you in the face due to the other owners/renters sitting by the pool smoking. Not the owners fault, but something that really irritates me having 3 small kids. Another downfall for us was that for 2 of the 6 days the access to the beach was closed for repairs, this was a hindrance with 3 small children, but shouldn't concern any future renters. Another issue is the noise, from the master you can hear the upstairs tenants using the restroom, which is just very awkward.
We did have some faults on our side that we squared up with the owner financially, due to lack of planning on our part, but once again the owner was very accommodating. In summary, the location is perfect, beach is amazing, owners very responsive and the size of the unit was great...but the little things mentioned above will keep us from renting here on our next trip.
Some insight to this review. All the photos are current as of about 3 weeks ago - day after this guest departed.
The baseboard did not fall on the guest's feet. It was a 1 foot portion that was leaned against the outer wall. Engineers had cut into our walls for sampling/testing for work that will be done on the building in November & December (windows, doors, resealing and painting the building). When the sheet rock was repaired, the paint was not dry enough to replace the baseboard. The person who was to replace the baseboard forgot and did not get back before this guest checked in.
There were no other missing baseboards. There are no holes in the ceiling. There is a place over the front door where the "popcorn" finish is loose due to moisture. We are aware and it is part of the issues that will be resolved with the work being performed in winter.
The "weird" ceiling in the bathrooms (and hall) are dropped ceilings. Rather than have unattractive cork board-type tiles, we have installed more attractive plastic ceiling tiles. Perhaps this guest had never seen them.
There is rust on the shower curtain ROD (not the shower curtain). I would hardly call it significant. Rust on metals will occur in moist areas. Our cleaners check the shower curtain every time to be sure it is clean for our guests.
The exposed electrical wires mentioned are runs along the point where the wall and ceiling meet for approximately 1/4 of the room. They are affixed to the wall/ceiling joint and are not hanging or easily accessible. They do NOT run across the ceiling. This issue is being resolved this week, so it will not be an issue for any guests after this week. We would never allow our units to be occupied if we knew of any possible safety issues. Please look at the images of the bedrooms that show the ceiling fans. There are no electrical wires running across the ceiling.
The guest's minor issues on their side -
This is not a pet friendly unit. It is clearly stated in the listing and reservation agreement - no pets. Units who allow pets must have their guests take the pets off property for personal needs. This guest brought a pet without asking.
This guest also used a bin from our brand new (2 weeks old) refrigerator as a foot bath and placed it on the rough pavers outside the unit.
Being caught disregarding rules and disrespecting property is what we believe motivated the guest to make these false statements.

Fabulous stay in this beautiful location on Oskaloosa Island. The owners have thought of everything needed for a family vacation. Condo is very nicely furnished and has everything you need to relax and enjoy the beauty of the beach. Thank you for the beach chair service and beach toys and games for children, we enjoyed it all!!!

This is our second trip to this unit and was just as wonderful as the first. Perfect location right near the pool and the beach. Fully loaded with amenities and very clean condo. Look forward to our next visit, it will definitely be in this unit.
Amazing! Best condo at aqua villa
Wonderful condo! Comfortable and homey. Clean and we'll equipped. Step out the front door to the pool and only a few more steps and you are on the beach! I have stayed at a couple of other condos at Aqua Villa and this has been my favorite hands down! The owners have thought of everthing. Thank you for sharing your condo with us!
