Newer Build Single Story Beachfront House with Deck Overlooking Bay

Amberjack House is located right on the Northside Beach in Spanish Wells, Bahamas. If you are not familiar with the Northside Beach, it is one of the most beautiful, quiet, serene stretches of shoreline in the world. It's a sleepy beach with no crowds, white sand, and crystal clear water.

The house has three bedrooms and two baths, is 2100 square ft, and sleeps eight comfortably in beds (with 2 additional pull out beds for 10 guests). The master bedroom, living room, and dining room each have a set of french doors that open up to a large deck that overlooks the beach.

This home features wide open living spaces, vaulted ceilings, wall to wall tile floors throughout, a modern, state-of-the-art kitchen, and very nice, yet comfortable furnishings. It is fully air conditioned. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of cookware and dishes for a crowd. There are four flatscreen TV's and several DVD players, one in the living room and one in each bedroom. The house was built in 2008, which is very new for Spanish Wells.

In 2016, we added a new boardwalk and beach deck from the house deck that extends directly to the edge of the beach. It's perfect for coffee in the morning, watching the kids play on the beach in the afternoon, and cocktails in the evening. It's really nice for when you want to hang out on the beach but don't feel like trekking all your stuff out into the sand. You just stroll down the boardwalk and kick back on one of our Adirondack chairs.

We also provide two Hobie Lanai kayaks and a paddle board.

What sets our house apart from other beach house rentals on Spanish Wells? The open floor plan, large covered deck, and the boardwalk to our beach side deck. The large rooms and open floor plan are unique for the island. Most of the beach fronts are older homes with tiny rooms. And very few of the newer homes have an open living room / dining room / kitchen area that opens up to a large, shaded beach deck. And the house is the only rental home that we know of on Spanish Wells that has a boardwalk that extends down to a beach side deck.

The house is located on 11th St right on the beach on the north side of the island. Note that there is a cemetery on Main Street from 10th to 11th. The cemetery is behind the house opposite the beach. It's a very pretty, very old little cemetary. It's quiet and provides extra privacy for the house. The landscaping behind our house hides it completely from view.

We spend about six weeks per year at Amberjack House. Since we spend so much time there, we've tried to make it as nice and comfortable as possible so that we can really enjoy ourselves while on vacation. Hopefully you will find our beach house as fun and relaxing as we do!

Why Ryan chose St. George's Cay

The beach of course! The floor plan is really nice too. It's great to have everything on one floor. We also really like the large, shaded deck that overlooks Northside Beach as well as our new beachside deck that is right on the beach. It's also within easy walking distance of just about everything in Spanish Wells. And finally, the fact that it is a newer build (2008) is a big plus. Many of the homes in Spanish Wells are rather old.

The large rooms and open floor plan are unique for the island. Most of the beach fronts are older homes with very small rooms. And very few of the newer homes have an open living room / dining room / kitchen area that opens up to a large beach deck.

The large deck that overlooks the beach is also rare on the island. And the house is the only rental home that we know of on the island that has a boardwalk that extends down to the edge of the beach with a deck right on the beach.

What makes this house unique

The beach, single story, location, french doors to the large shaded deck, very open floor plan, and boardwalk down to the beach deck that is right on the beach.

  • Eight sleep comfortably in our five beds. Each bed has a Serta memory foam topper for a really comfy night's sleep! There are two fold up twin beds in the closets for when there are 10 guests. The master bedroom has french doors that open up to the deck and has a view of the beach. The other two bedrooms are on the road side of the house.

Beautiful beachfront home with amazing views! Owners are super friendly and easy to work with!

Open living/dining area. Spacious bedbrooms. Beautiful patio and beachfront deck. Tons of beach floaties, toys, chairs, kayaks. White sand, clear/calm waters, sandbars. Friendly neighbors. Safe and secure. Highly recommend the Amberjack House! Will definitely stay here again! Thank you Ryan and Heidi!

Bahamas at its best!

Ryan's home is beautiful and in a perfect location. The islanders were all friendly making Spanish wells feel like a home away from home, without the hustle bustle. The house was wheelchair accessible, able to accommodate a large family, and walking distance to everything you needed. It was perfect. Ryan went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Staying right on the beach with the boardwalk from the house made enjoying the water and beach life easy! A very relaxing vacation. Bruno Underwood of Underwood Charters was great! Would highly recommend using him if you want to fish, snorkel, or just ride out on the water. Overall, this was a great place, with great people, making a great vacation. Sad to leave. If ever in the Bahamas, and on the island of Spanish Wells, this is the place to stay!

Hands down the best trip I have ever been on! The locals are very friendly and there are plenty of great restaurants to dine out at. If you are looking for a trip just to unwind and relax this is the place you want to be!

Beautiful home and breathtaking views

Amberjack is AMAZING!! House is spacious and comfortable with all the ammemtaties you need! The boardwalk from the house to the beach is the perfect spot to relax and watch the crystal clear water. The island itself is small but has a lot of character. Food at all the restaurants is great, getting around the island is easy (in a golf cart) and the people are friendly and make you feel at home.

Perfection

Every thing you could want in a family vacation. A perfect place to stay, beautiful spot for swimming, kayaking, walking, running, kid friendly, and relaxing. Enjoy the sunrise and sunset. Fresh made conch salad at Budhi's around the corner, and homemade ice cream in the evening from Papa Scoops. Broke our heart to have to leave a day early, due to high winds coming and the boat not running for a couple days. Oh well. We will definitely be back. Everyone of the family loved it.
