Thank you for a lovely and relaxing place to stay. We were in town for a nieces wedding at a nearby venue and we were able to spend some nice family time here at the lake. Despite it being the end of September, we enjoyed a little kayaking and time outside on the dock. The property manager met us at the house and gave us a thorough walk through of all the amenities. The neighborhood was very quiet and we had no issues with the neighbors. We would definitely consider a return trip to your lovely home.
Beautiful setting but some major draw backs
The home was lovely and quaint , reminded me of my grandmother's home and the lake setting and property were spectacular.
However, the neighbors were VERY nosy and it was quite frustrating to have someone over there telling us what we were " doing wrong" at least once a day.
Please note this was my family vacation with my husband and 3 children and some friends that stopped by, so NOT a party weekend or anything wild and crazy.
Also we told the owner that we were having a family gathering one day with possibly up to 40 people which he verbally ok'd in a telephone call, and then sent his property manager down to tell us that "the neighbors were complaining about the cars."
The gathering lasted for maybe 3 hours and everyone was gone by about 8:30 . We found this to be very frustrating and definitely put a negative shadow on our stay.
Also the owners are VERY concerned about the septic system and the are bidets that are to be used-- a unique experience to say the least. It was nice to have an out door outhouse provided for when you were in the yard however.
We certainly felt that we were being respectful of the property, owners, neighbors and neighborhood as we made every effort to be polite, up front, quiet and not bothersome. No drinking, minimal music, in the house around dark (830ish this time of year), no pets, kids playing as they should be, etc....
We were really hoping and anticipating that this would be a place we could return to annually with our children, however I don't think we will seek to return at this point.
Had we been able to just go and enjoy the weekend the way we had originally planned I would easily have given it 5 Stars as it really is lovely and welcoming, enjoyable and scenic.
I would say if you have a SMALL, intimate group and no younger children this would be ideal... The setting is amazing for all ages but really not very welcoming for a vacation for our family.
Very beautiful property with awesome landscaping and very relaxing atmosphere.
Being with our family was the highlight, but we had lots of things to do as well---kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, billiards, piano, and croquet. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had. Thank you.
Wonderful family vacation
Our family returned this summer for another relaxing and fun filled time at this beautiful lake house. We enjoyed the water, dock, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, playing pool and card games. Most of all we enjoy being together in this lovely setting. Great homeowners and property management! Hope to make it an annual trip! Thank you!
My family enjoyed our stay. They liked the paddle board and kayaks.
We had plenty of space for our small group. Enjoyed yard for games and just looking at the lake.
Excellent lake experience.
Our family rented this house for five days for the second year in a row. We had out of town families with children as well as local family getting together and this spot is such a great choice for us. It is 30-45 minutes north of Spokane and there are no winding lake roads to access the property. The owners and caretaker are wonderful, the house is very clean and well stocked. Things we especially enjoyed: the large lawn area, the bald eagles daily flyovers, the canoes and kayaks, bedrooms separated from the other side of the house for napping children, plenty of shade on hot days, lots of off street parking and the fire pit down by the lake. We'll be back next year!
