There are two working gas fireplaces; the family room is large and the home is well decorated with thoughtful and beautiful Restoration Hardware and Kreiss furnishings. There is also a 46 inch flat screen Samsung 'SmartTV' with premium cable, DVR, and blu ray. This room has a second dining area adjacent to the Mexican tile fireplace. French doors open to the pool for a seamless inside/outside lifestyle. The backyard has stunning mountain vistas with shaded seating and dining areas next to the wall fountain. A professional misting system surrounds the pool and dining areas for warm-season comfort. In the evening, the landscape and pool lighting creates a dramatic resort feel.
THE LOCATION: Casa de Palma is located less than a mile from Central Palm Springs and is just 1.5 miles to the popular Cheeky’s and Jakes restaurants and 'Koffi' on N. Palm Canyon. You may drive there, but you can also walk there in 20 - 25 minutes ... or have "Bike Palm Springs" bike rentals deliver for a quick ride to the heart of it all. You can also bike or walk to nearby restaurants at the end of our street and to the Koffi on Palm Canyon at S. Camino Real... just a 10 minute walk. Other nearby stores and restaurants are Ralphs, Jensens, The Ace, Le Horizon, and The Saguaro.
Finally, the free downtown PS BUZZ trolley stops near the end of our street (at E. Mesquite) every 15 minutes (11am - 1am Thur-Sun) ... It's a quick way to get to the heart of town and back. No car needed.
FOR HIKERS: The Valley's most popular hiking area is the Tahquitz Canyon Mountain and Waterfall recreation area. The entrance is practically at the end of the street! It's literally a 5 minute walk. The canyon and mountains form a dramatic backdrop from the house and the hiking is the best in the area. The waterfall hiking 'reward' is quick and not too challenging.
THE HOME'S LAYOUT: Three bedrooms make this home an ideal family or couples retreat. The master has a king bed with beamed ceilings and a 48' flat screen TV. The main guest room is off the pool with a queen bed. The third bedroom with views to the front garden has a queen bed now - though the pictures show twins. There are two full baths with drenching rain showers and there is a whole-house "no-wait" hot water recirculation system. There are flat screen TV’s in every bedroom. There is also a large, detached bonus suite. While not exactly a casita, it’s completely separate and has two overflow twin beds plus laundry with 2 sets of stacked washers and dryers. There are also plenty of pool "floaties" stored in the casita.
