We had a wonderful time in this is a beautiful cabin with a great location. The cabin was spacious enough for our group of 10 adults. Well maintained and updated kitchen was a plus. I will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Owner's Response: Thank you for this wonderful review. We are always thrilled when folks create memories in Bearfoot Lodge. Yes, we do our best to keep the kitchen up to date with new, higher end appliances, both large and small. I believe our crock pot has been on many picnics in the area, especially Metcalf Bottoms, which is only about 15 minutes from the cabin. Please stay in touch. We would enjoy being your host again. Pat and Don Kirchhoefer, owners.

Had a Great Weekend!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed the easy check-in of just going to the cabin and getting in using the door code. We did run out of hot water the second day and had to call, but the phone response was instant and talked me through what to do. Later a repairman came and we had no further problems. Our party of ten ladies enjoyed "The Island" in Pigeon Forge and ate at the Margarittaville Restaurant. We also enjoyed Dollywood, and shopping at the Tanger Outlets. The cabin had everything we needed for cooking, including a crock pot. Appliances are very new and worked perfectly. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Owner's Response: Thank you for this review. All reviews are appreciated and they are always helpful to others who are looking to stay in our cabin. We have taken care in equipping our kitchen. We try to have everything you have in your home kitchen. The crick pit has been a huge hit and also hood for a picnic st Metcalf Bottoms and Chimney Tops picnic areas. I am terribly sorry about the water heater. You just never know when something will malfunction or break. I'm thankful you received a fast response and service. I have taken care in putting together a group of service people who are dependable and proficient in their field. We would like to be your hosts again. Take care. Pat and Don Kirchhoefer, owners.

A Breath of Fresh Air!

  • 5 of 5

What an absolute gem, this home away from home had something for everyone in our group. We traveled with Grandparents, 40 somethings, young adults and teens. Everyone commented on how the owners had thought of everything we could have possibly needed for our stay. The owner, Pat, called to check on us mid-week which has never happened at any location we've stayed. The cabin was clean, beautifully furnished and in the sweltering heat we always felt comfortable and cool inside. The view was wonderful. We felt tucked away from the hustle/bustle but close enough to get to all of the attractions with ease. This was our first trip to the Smokey Mountains and we will most definitely be returning. If you are thinking about booking a trip, book this place NOW.

Owner's Response: Oh, my goodness, you have no idea how this review has made me feel. Happy and excited can't even come close. We try hard to think of everything a family and group of friends could want in a home. Cleanliness is at the top of the list, and I must say Beartootin has never once let me down. They are an honest, dedicated group of people. Since this review really can't occur without them, I wanted to make sure to mention them. You have hit all the high points a property owner of a vacation rental could ever hope for. Please know I am always here, and we would absolutely love to have you all return. Please don't hesitate to tell your family and friends. My Bearfoot Cabins can be found easily, and I look forward to hearing from you all very soon. Thank you so much for choosing us, and thank you for this wonderful review. Pat and Don Kirchhoefer, owners.

We enjoyed staying at your rental - our family had a great vacation in the area.

  • 4 of 5

The overall experience was nice.

I know it was no fault of the owner but

The one day we were going to use the

Pool it was not working. The landscapers had some how got debris in the pump/filter system. They had no sign up even though they knew about it. It was very unhealthy looking and they said it would not be fixed until the next day. We ended up at the Aquatic Center.

Owner's Response: It is good to know your stay at Bearfoot Lodge was enjoyable. I hope you found the cabin clean, well stocked, comfortable and a good fit for your family. Yes, when circumstances happen that is beyond the control of the owner, it is concerning for both guests and owners. Honeysuckle Meadows has a lovely pool, fishing pond, picnic area and deli/cafe. We are so fortunate to have a venue such as this only about 15 minutes from the resort. I'm sure the kiddie pool at Honeysuckle Meadows was a good fit for your 3 year old grandson. I would like to invite you for a return visit to Bearfoot Lodge. Our goal is to provide a good experience, and while the pool was out of our control, as providers of your home we will always have your best interests at heart no matter the circumstances. Pat & Don Kirchhoefer, owners.

Bearfoot Lodge was a great getaway for our 3 families!

Owner's Response: You are so thoughtful to post a review. I think everyone looks at reviews in helping them to decide a cabin to stay in while visiting the Smoky Mountains. So, this is a big favor to future guests of Bearfoot Lodge. It sounds like you have a very nice group. Family time is second to none, and I'm so happy you enjoyed the cabin. We sincerely hope to hear from you again. We are always available. Don't forget to visit the My Bearfoot Cabins website. Pat and Don Kirchhoefer, owners
