Rackett Enterprise LLC was started in 2006 with the encouragement of our parents, Bill & Jean Marie Rackett. There are 9 children in our family between the ages of 65 and 48. Our goal is to remain a close knit family in our later years of life. Mom and Dad always provided us with opportunities to get together for the holidays, vacations, picnics and sleepovers so their 9 children, 29 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren would be able to spend time together. By starting this business, our parents knew we would have a meeting each year so we would never lose our family connection when they were no longer with us. In February, 2014 our dad went to heaven to be with his wife of 60 years. We have a beautiful historic home in Lebanon, Ohio where we grew up and have wonderful memories. Now, the dilemma is: What do we do with this 5 bedroom home?

Our business would like to provide families, business men or women or couples a “HOME AWAY FROM HOME” in historic Lebanon, Ohio. We would like to make your stay when you travel as comfortable as possible. No more hotel rooms! No more living out of a suitcase! No more being cramped or having noisy people next to you because now you have a WHOLE HOUSE and not just a room.

Our home is very spacious (as you can imagine with 9 children). You will have a living room, family room, closed in porch, large kitchen equipped with everything you need to cook, one and half bathrooms, patio, beautifully landscaped back yard and 5 bedrooms to choose from. It also is on the historic register in Lebanon, Ohio.

About Rackett Enterprise LLC / Mary Ellen DeLaney

There are 9 children in our family and we are excited about renting our family home as a vacation rental. We want everyone to enjoy the history of our home, the decor and the peacefulness. It is located on a quiet street in Lebanon, Ohio, just minutes from the famous Golden Lamb restaurant.

Rackett Enterprise LLC / Mary Ellen DeLaney purchased this house in 1968

Why Rackett Enterprise LLC / Mary Ellen DeLaney chose Ohio

Our home is on the historic register and was built in 1808. The history of our home is fascinating. We want people to enjoy having the freedom of an entire house, not just a hotel room. We want this to be your 'Home Away From Home'

What makes this house unique

The benefits are endless. You can walk to the Golden Lamb, you can take a train ride at the end of our street and the antiques in Lebanon are everywhere! We are close to Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus, Ohio for any one day trips. There is also a public golf course within 2 blocks from our home. Outlet malls are within 10 minutes from our home as well as the Miami Valley Casino.

IF you are sharing our home with different families, the individual amount each family will pay is minimal.

Guestbook comments from the owner

It is such an honor to have someone come back to our home, not only once, but two times! I feel like we are family and I love the contact we have. I truly feel like we are "family" and can't wait until the next time. See you next year!

Delightful Historic Family Home

  • 5 of 5

As a family, we have stayed together at several Home-Away vacation homes all over the USA. We rented this home in late September 2016. We had on this trip 5 adults and two children (ages 5 and 2).

The 1808 Historic Family Home in Lebanon OH exceeded our expectations. It was clean and tidy, well decorated and plenty of room. The major overriding positive aspect to this rental home is its character and charm. The home was obviously occupied formerly by a large close knit, loving family. The decor was vintage and very well kept. Our family was so impressed with the feelings of being in a comfortable beautiful family oriented home. The welcome homemade bread was a very nice added touch. The family members we spoke and corresponded with were very helpful and hospitable. Thanks to you all !

The town of Lebanon is a quaint and pretty place with downtown attractions within walking distance.

Wholeheartedly recommend this home to anyone wanting a vacation in a historic home nestled in a quiet historic neighborhood in a charming Mid America town.

Great large historic home

  • 4 of 5

The owners take wonderful care of the property. It was very clean upon arrival. Large bedrooms and plenty of spaces for lounging. A very well equipped kitchen. Please note that there is only 1 1/2 baths. So be prepared to share. Two areas for dining inside. The owners were very responsive when the microwave stopped working. Fixed quickly immediately with no fuss. Wonderful tennis and gold facilities just two blocks away. A perfect house for a family gathering.

A stay there makes you feel a part of Ohio history.

Beautiful Piece of History!

  • 5 of 5

Not only was this a comfortable and spacious house, but it was so neat to stay in a historical place. It has everything you need in it, and easily housed our party of 6 adults and 3 children. Mary Ellen is very inviting and makes you feel welcome. Thank you for letting us stay and we look forward to returning in the future!

Excellent Stay !!

  • 5 of 5

Had a great stay in this historic home in Lebanon ! Everything was just as described and the communication with the owners was excellent !!

There were 6 of us in the house that were part of a larger party in town. Many of the other were asking about the house and were very interested in the house for other times of the year so hopefully you will get others to rent also! I know we will be contacting you again when we come back into town !!

Thanks again for the great stay !!!
