Wonderful Canadian Rockies Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I don't know where to start! I was traveling with my wife, 2 sons ages 2 1/2 and 5 months, my sister, and my sister-in-law. The owner was easy to communicate with and returned my messages promptly. The property/amenities were in great condition and the extras (parking, indoor pool, hot tub) were icing on the cake. The boys enjoyed the indoor pool while the adults enjoyed the hot tub after bedtime! The resort was within an easy 5-10 min walk to the town center where we got dinner, groceries, beers, souvenirs, etc. We all hiked and spent plenty of time outdoors because Canmore was close to everything! We explored some of the local hiking trails (Grotto Canyon/Ha Ling Peak, Nordic Center), drove an hour to check out Lake Louise/ Lake Morrainne, rode the Gandola and strolled through the town of Banff, and hiked through Johnston Canyon to the Inkpots. With or without kids, I would highly recommend this property and the town of Canmore over Banff! A big thanks to Linda for a fantastic stay in the Canadian Rockies! We will certainly be back, because there is so much more to see and do!

Location! Amenities! Owner Attention!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 6 adults (us and 2 adult children and their spouses) was blessed by this vacation home in so many ways! I would highly recommend this home to others and would stay again, if the opportunity ever arises. The den/3rd bedroom (w/Murphy bed) was a bit stuffy, since there are no windows or air vents, but if you use the fan and leave the door open it is better. I'm sure during the winter months this is not a problem. The private hot tub, on the roof, was probably the most enjoyed by all of us. Plenty of space, we had another 3 family members (staying in a different condo) join us for a cookout dinner and it was still comfortable for all. Short, easy walk to Canmore and even the grocery store if desired. Linda's communication was certainly a plus!

Be it known, one week in this beautiful land our God has created is not enough!

I would pick this one again!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 6 loved this place! The condo is beautiful, clean and well appointed! Not sure I have ever had a decent blender in any rental and this one was excellent for my morning smoothie. The location is PERFECT and I would stay here any day over busy Banff. Banff is fun to visit, but we loved the quaintness of Canmore with all the bunnies hoping around. One day when we went out the back door there were 2 elks bunching on the shrubs. They were not at all shy and we sat for 30 minutes just watching them. We had an issue with the AC but the owner was prompt in responding to us and it wasn't anything we couldn't deal with. The hot tub was wonderful as was the rooftop patio!

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

Linda's family's condo was the perfect place to come home to after full days of fun in Banff and Yoho parks. The house was fully stocked with anything we needed--even fluffy robes, which were perfect after soaking in the hot tub after a long hike. Linda was very responsive via text and left yummy treats for us as a housewarming. We loved staying in Canmore over Banff. The slower pace was so much better than fighting the huge crowds in Banff and it had delicious restaurants (Crazyweed and Georgetown Inn) and bars (loved Where the Buffalo Roam).

Canmore

  • 5 of 5

For those looking to enjoy Banff National Park in the summer, Canmore is the place to stay. Banff was obnoxiously crowded with tour buses unloading people everywhere. Linda's condo was perfect for the two couples in our party. Views were great and amenities met our basic needs. A short walk to downtown with excellent restaurant options and shopping. You must try "Crazyweed" for lunch or dinner. I highly recommend Canmore and this rental property.
