Poleski is a beautiful, modern vacation home, built in the summer of 2007, featuring expansive all-glass front windows that offer breathtaking views of the ski hill. This spacious home is perfect for a medium-sized family or several couples, and dogs are welcome to join in on the fun!

Our office is right here in the Powderhorn area with on-site maintenance, housekeeping, and reservation staff ready to help. You’ll always have support nearby, and if you’d rather not stop in, we’re also available 24/7 by call, message, or email. Whatever works best for you, we’re here to make your stay as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Nestled in the heart of the Upper Peninsula, the Powderhorn area is a true four-season destination.
The neighborhood also offers great local spots to enjoy—grab a hearty meal at Iron Nugget, sip a coffee at Copper Cup, try out a beer at Cold Iron Brewery or try a local favorite at Pit Stop, Uptown Café, or Club 28. You’ll also find shopping, live music, and seasonal festivals nearby that bring the community to life.

In winter, you’re just steps from Big Powderhorn Mountain Resort and a few miles from Snow River for skiing and snowboarding, along with direct access to hundreds of miles of scenic snowmobile trails. When the snow melts, the adventure continues with hiking and biking trails, waterfalls, fishing, and exploring the beauty of the Northwoods.

We are conveniently located just off US-2 and only a few miles from Ironwood Airport, which offers daily flights through Denver Air. Whether you’re arriving by car or by air, our location makes getting here easy and stress-free, putting you close to all the area has to offer.

The lower level is a recreation haven, complete with a double futon, pool table, sports-themed bar, 1 bathroom, a sauna, an indoor hot tub, and a washer and dryer. The main level offers 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, while the upper level includes 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, as well as a cozy loft/reading nook, perfect for curling up with a good book.

The living room features a large brick fireplace, creating a warm and inviting space to unwind. Outside, a deck off the front of the home comes with a grill, ideal for outdoor meals and taking in the mountain air.

For added comfort, central air, Wi-Fi are provided throughout the home, and an additional Spectrum TV offering 150 local and basic channels . Poleski is located just 4 blocks from the main ski lodge, making it an excellent choice for those looking to ski and explore the area. A 3-night minimum stay is required.

It was a great stay for our friend getaway! The house had great space for the 5 of us. We loved the downstairs bar area with the pool table. We loved that there were 3 bathrooms! The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans and utensils, and even a crockpot. It was a good stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was roomy enough for our family and dog. It was well stocked- didn’t need to buy any additional supplies. We were there at the end of August and the location was great for day hikes in the area and close to restaurants.

Barlament Family ski trip

We have been coming to Powder horn for the past 24 years and have stayed at many locations over the years. Our stay at Poleski has been the most enjoyable. The amenities are perfect for a growing family and offers a variety of things to do in the facility. Very nice place to get away

We had a great experience staying there. The house was spacious and was equipped with just about everything you would need. We had plenty of room. We loved using the pool table downstairs. The hot tub was gross and slimy, so that was disappointing because I was looking forward to that. The area was beautiful and the fall colors were in peak so that was awesome.

Great location for a fall stay

We were minutes from the Black River Scenic Byway and Copper Peak. We were also within an hour from The Porcupine Mountains. Perfect place for fall color watching, and our group of three families had enough space to spread out but still gather all together for games and eating. I’d had some concerns about cleanliness based on other reviews, but everything inside was spotless. There was some very minor rental damage in the home, but overall we were very happy with our stay and the amenities.

Awesome property!

This is a great place to stay with a large family or two small. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The game, room and hot tub and sauna are a plus. The front faces the ski hill so you have a great view. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need. The fireplace is an added bonus and there was plenty of firewood. We will definitely stay at this property again. The only thing I would say is make sure you stock up on groceries, drinks, etc because it is a little ways back into town.

Larger than it looks!

My family of four adults stayed at this home and found it more spacious than it looks from the outside and inside pictures. Three levels and plenty of room for more guests than the four of us. The living area and kitchen made our mealtime comfortable and afforded us nice family time together since we could cook and hang out in the same space. Since we visited in the summer the location was a bit off the beaten track for our activities of hiking close to the Lake Superior shore but there is a very nice town, Ironwood close by that was fun to visit and has some interesting things to see. The accommodations were clean and the beds were comfortable. The trash from the previous renter or renters, was left outside by the entrance door and attracted a lot of insects which was not so nice. It would have been lovely to of sat outside on the decks, there are three outdoor spaces but no tables and only a couple of plastic chairs, after using the grill (that was hard to light) but we understand that this property is located very close to a ski resort, convenient in winter, so not needed and probably challenging to store. If we are back in the area again during the winter months I would stay here again, If you’re looking for a great place to stay close to a ski resort you’ll love this house!

Very roomy and great for our Christmas ski week but I do need to say that it is not as clean or as well stocked as other VRBO's that I have stayed at. I seemed a step above a college house. That did not ruin our fun or made it any less entertaining than it was. I have read a lot of the reviews and it looks like a lot of the same problems have been mentioned repeatedly. We did need to supply our own hand soap, garbage bags and not enough toilet paper and laundry detergent were supplied. Most of the outside light need to be replaced because they are all burned out. The fireplace was great but you definitely need to bring your own fire starters for the large logs provided with no kindling. If this home had a deep clean and some maintenance issues were addressed it would be an A+ place to stay.
