Our condo is a designer decorated 2 bedroom, 2 bath ocean front penthouse condo with loft and rooftop terrace. It is situated with a perfect ocean view right down the center of the Playa Turquesa community. The community has 16 buildings with a total of 188 condos of 1, 2 & 3 bedrooms with elevators in each building. It has a private beach area with chaise lounges, covered area for those who like shade, two large swimming pools, two smaller children's pools, 24 hour security, reverse osmosis water treatment system and a lovely lobby/reception area. It is located just 20 minutes from the Punta Cana International Airport and has everything you need to enjoy your vacation in our little paradise of Bavaro.

This 4th floor 2 bedroom penthouse has a lovely ocean view from the large main floor balcony as well as from the dining area.The very spacious main floor balcony has a direct view of the ocean and the whole Playa Turquesa community. The balcony hosts a table and six chairs in case you wish to have breakfast or lunch with a tranquil view of the ocean. It also has two large round back wicker chairs with cushions and coffee table to lounge with your coffee or cocktail. It also has a covered pergola to protect you from the elements.

The main floor boasts a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, above stove microwave/range hood, stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, blender, coffee maker and toaster. The living area has a flat screen TV with digital cable, blue ray player with DVD's and Blue Ray movies, several board games, priviate wifi, sofa, 2 chairs and coffee table. The dining area is set up with dining for 6 people and the solid wood spiral staircase leads to the loft that has a full size sofa bed and overlooks the dining and living rooms. Sliding patio doors from the loft lead to the huge rooftop terrace where you will find a lounge area with a 2 and 3 seater sofa with coffee table plus a couple of chaise lounges and coffee table for your sun bathing pleasure.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, a large flat screen TV with digital cable for your viewing pleasure, a master en suite bathroom, a laptop size safe in the large closet to keep your valuables and a six drawer dresser. The second bedroom has two full size beds, a flat screen TV with digital cable, a large closet and a six drawer dresser as well. Each bedroom has a programmable clock radio with hair dryers and curling irons provided in each bathroom.

In the hallway you will find a linen closet filled with Ralph Lauren bath towels, large Martha Stewart beach towels, a laundry area with combo washer/dryer, iron, ironing board, etc. This condo has central air conditioning with 3 programmable thermostats (one in the main living area and one in each bedroom) that will allow you to control your air conditioning usage as desired.

We also have two Pack N Plays (portable cribs) that are available for families with babies and small children.

Girls Trip

Had a wonderful time at Gretchen's condo for a girls trip in Punta Cana. Gretchen was always readily available via e-mail for anything we needed and there was a helpful book at the condo with tips on various things to do in Punta Cana. Brenda the property manager was also extremely helpful and would always promptly respond to e-mails at all hours. Everything was so wonderful and I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to vacation in Punta Cana.

We are two couples having returned in late March from a 5-week stay at Playa Turquesa Beach Club. This safe, gated community of 16 residential buildings (lettered A to P) is well maintained and offers direct access to the beach (regrettably peppered with algae/sea weed both in and near the water during our stay). Pools at each end of the complex offer plenty of sunbathing area and lounge chairs but limited shade. The swim-up bar advertised in the brochures was not in operation during our stay. However, there is a beach bar opened daily except Monday. For guests seeking a different pace, Playa Turquesa is within walking distance of two all-inclusive resorts (Sunscape and Vista Sol) where day and night passes ($50-70 USD) are available.

Our stay was in unit P-405, the "P" building being located immediately next to the Complex Office and some 25 meters from the gated entrance. P-405 is managed by an outside company that quickly solved small problems at the beginning of our stay. The unit is a fully equipped and furnished two bedroom (with loft) two bathroom condo, with main floor and rooftop terraces. It is conveniently located near amenities (convenience store/minimarket and specialty boutiques) and excellent restaurants (Pastrate, Citrus & D'Angelo's), should one grow tired of the Unit BBQ. As groceries were needed during our stay, we found JUMBO in the San Juan Shopping Plaza to be great for grocery shopping (both for price and product assortment) and for liquor. For small necessary grocery items, Ciccolella prices were generally better than BAM.

Electricity does not come cheap in the Dominican Republic, a country with one of the higher prices for electricity in the world. While the condo comes equipped with ceiling fans and air conditioning units, it pays to use these sparingly, i.e. mostly during the night. During our stay, the windows and screen door were left open during the day, the condo being sufficiently airy due to the constant sea breeze.

The only negative for P-405 is its location near the entrance to the complex and a busy, noisy cross-street. Both bedrooms face the gated entrance, and the condo's single-pane windows failed to mask the noise level generated after dark by the entertainment venues regularly dispensing loud music until the wee hours of the morning. Until the complex/condo owners take action to have the noise by-laws/ordinances enforced, ear plugs will simply be inadequate!

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our condo. Jumbo is a newly opened store in the Punta Cana area. Glad to hear it has a good selection with good prices. We will have to check it out. Electricity is definitely expensive in the Dominican. We always inform potential renters about the cost for electricity when they inquire about our rental. The country is still trying to develop cost effective electricity. Right now the electricity is generated through diesel fuel. This fuel needs to be imported to the island, making the cost of electricity expensive. It is unfortunate that the bar across the street was so noisy during your stay. It has recently opened under new management. Once we received your complaint, my husband and I began working our property manager and the owner of the condo complex to try and get the issue corrected. The bar is privately owned. Our property manager and the complex owner have spoken with both the police and the owner of the bar. We are hopeful this issue gets rectified as soon as possible.

Perfect place to stay in Playa Turquesa

Thanks for everything, we had a wonderful 12 days stay in Playa Turquesa. This place was really great.

Grethen did an amazing job for answering to all our questions while we planned our vacation. She always responds quickly and is extremely helpful. - Brenda was also very friendly and helpful. When we finally (after a very long journey from Finland) got to the condo we were greeted by Brenda's son. He showed us how to work everything and all the extras that comes with the condo.

The pictures you show on the website are accurate. The complex is very clean and well kept. The kitchen was really fully equipped with lots of tools. The balcony was the perfect place for breakfast (and dinner) with partial sea view. This condo has everything one would want for a family vacation.

They had a nice binder in the condo that has lots of useful information from the area (food, entertainment, transportation etc.), which we found very helpful. We read it many times.

Condo is located in a safe area with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Condos beautiful private beach area with plenty of chairs is great. You can walk the beach nicely for miles either way. The beach is sand bottom and great for swimming with gentle waves. The grounds and beach are beautifully maintained, seaweed is cleaned daily out of the beach.

The bedroom side of the condo faces the nightlife. If you have some difficulty to sleep we would suggest that you take some earplugs to use in your bedrooms. The music from the nearby clubs right outside the complex can be really loud at nights and may keep you awake or awaken you.

If you are looking for a vacation that is truly relaxing we highly recommend that you try this place.

Beautiful View & Great Location

We had reserve the driver to pick us up at the airport, which went very smoothly and the driver was great. We stopped at an ATM near the airport to get some Pesos because there really aren't any ATM's in Punta Cana. We know you can pay with US dollars but the exchange rate is not as good than using Pesos. After the ATM we went to the bigger grocery store, which was also near the airport. While we shopped the driver waited outside for us. It is worth the extra $5. The store pretty much had anything you would want A few things to keep in mind to buy, toilet paper, napkins, paper towels, tissues, garbage bags (or use the plastic shopping bags you get from the store). We have some coffee filters at the condo, but not sure how long they will last. When we got to the condo we were greeted by Brenda's son. He showed us how to work everything and all the extras that comes with the condo. It was only my husband and I so there was plenty of room with this two bedroom condo. The view from the patio was lovely. The condo had all the necessary kitchen & bedroom amenities. It was easy to walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. There is a smaller grocery store on the property, which was real convenient. It was a very comfortable place to able to relax. There is 5 gallon purified water cooler. It cost $2 to refill cooler. We did take a wonderful snorkeling trip with Hispaniola Aquatic Adventures one afternoon (highly recommend). Besides the trip being great, it was so easy to arrange everything with Gretchen and Brenda. Thank you!

Best Place in Punta Cana

We are so glad we chose this condo for our 15th anniversary vacation. The condo was fabulous and the grounds and staff were 5 star. We loved being able to experience the local markets, shops, and restaurants as it made us feel like we were experiencing a foreign country. Our 12 year old boy said this trip was better than our trip to Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos (except for the pool slides). We enjoyed the view from the balcony and stayed out there every night playing UNO and sipping on cocktails. We met people on a couple of Island excursions and they all complained about the food and buffet lines at the big resorts. I am so glad we booked this condo instead of going to the all inclusives. The local restaurants were fabulous with unbelievable food and service. We exchanged all our money for Pesos and it made paying for everything so much easier than using US dollars. I highly recommend you book this condo instead of one of the resorts. Wood Family 2016

Centrally located, private, secure condo stay

We just returned from a two week stay in Punta Cana. I selected this property because it is gated, secure and private living within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and nightlife. The complex has 2 salt water pools where we spent the greatest amount of time. The outside living areas included a patio that overlooked the two pools and had a full-on view of the ocean. We spent time there eating, playing board games, reading and enjoying the wonderful breeze. The upper terrace was perfect for morning stretching, afternoon private sunbathing and evenings under the stars. The well appointed 2 bedroom condo was spacious, and had everything we needed in the kitchen to make our stay pleasant. We cooked a lot and the kitchen was well furnished. Plenty of towels were available for our use. We also used the services of Hermes Torres as our driver and took a sailing/snorkeling excursion with his company that was the highlight of our trip. The unit is air conditioned and has fans in every room for comfort from the heat when needed. There is an elevator to the 4th floor for easy access. The only complaint is that the bedroom side of the condo faces the nightlife and loud music can be heard until around 4:00 a.m. most evenings. I wore ear plugs to bed so I could sleep.

Playa Turquesa has 24 hour gated security at the street and beach, a beautiful lobby, elevators in each building, 2 large swimming pools (1 with a swim up bar and a bathroom at each pool), 2 kiddie pools and it's own private beach on the famous Bavaro Beach.

Our condo is located in the heart of the El Cortecito section of Punta Cana. It is considered one of the safest and friendliest tourist destinations in the world! Plaza Turquesa attached to the condo offers 5 restaurants, a convenience store and a duty free shop. Our two favorite restaurants are Citrus (they have sushi specials on Monday and wine specials on Friday) and Don Pio's (they have mojito and sangria specials every evening from 6-9 pm plus karaoke).

Plaza El Dorado (across the street) offers a bakery, grocery, pharmacy, a vet/pet store, laundry mat, spa (massages, hair, nails, etc.), sports bar with billiards and several restaurants (Happy Hour, Nam Nam, Le Petit Jardin, and Muchos Gracias Por Favor). Also be sure to visit Huracan Café.... fresh seafood in a beautiful beach front setting.

A five minute walk will take you to the Los Corales section with several more restaurants (D'Angelo's, Balicana, and Tronco Beach) along with a gym, yoga studio, and spa.

There are many other restaurants within an easy 5 to 15 minute walk. A must try is Pastrata...Food is made fresh to order. They specialize in Mexican and Italian. By far the BEST restaurant in the area!!

NO CAR NEEDED! Day & night entertainment for all tastes and ages nearby.

There are two large shopping malls that are a 5 to 10 minute drive away. The Palma Real Shopping Mall- home to HARD ROCK CAFE, TONY ROMA, OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE and several other international high end stores. The Palma Real also offers a free shuttle service. Inquiries about the free shuttle can be made at the condo's front desk.

The San Juan Shopping Mall-home to very large (and cheaper grocery store) Pola, Starbucks, movie theater (english w/spanish subtitiles), Chef Peppers, Pizza Hut, Haagan Daz, IKEA and other factory outlet stores.

There are many world class golf courses in the Punta Cana area. The closet to our condo is the Cocotal Golf and Country Club--a championship golf course. All of the golf courses offer a complimentary shuttle to and from the condo.

Taxes are included in the rental amount!

Electricity and an exit cleaning fee are extra. The cost of your exit cleaning fee ($80) and electricity usage will be deducted from your Damage Deposit. The remaining amount of your deposit will be refunded to you assuming there are no damages. Typical electricity usage is between $5-$20 per day.

We request a deposit of $500 for rentals of two weeks or less.
We request a deposit of $1,000 for rentals longer than two weeks.
