Why McKay S Bodily chose Ashton

This property is special, and we think you will agree! Traveling to this area of Idaho since childhood spawned the desire to have a place of our own. Spring Shores Lodge is so close to so many beautiful sites and wonderful activities!

What makes this lodge unique

It's hard to find a property in a popular area that provides privacy, exclusive access to water activities, is close to a town but far enough away from town to be secluded. Spring Shores Lodge does just that. It's also hard to find an exclusive location that is accessible in the winter. Despite heavy snowfall and our the secluded nature of our location, the roads to the lodge are accessible 365 days a year.

A gorgeous lodge! It was perfect for our small wedding!

  • 5 of 5

The owner McKay was great to us, and the awesome beautiful lodge and property worked perfectly for our small 50 person wedding. Everyone all weekend kept complimenting the location saying how amazing the lodge was. We truly felt pampered there. It was the perfect spot for our wedding, as we had the ceremony and reception in the back yard, with the perfect forested backdrop. I loved how flexible and accommodating McKay was, we felt he was overly generous and helpful for our day to go perfectly. I also loved how we were able to really customize the wedding location to make it our own. Would 100% reccomend! And would even like to come back again one day.

Amazing property with everything you need!

  • 5 of 5

We have been looking forward to our stay since we booked the lodge. We had an amazing time. McKay was so good to answer all of my questions between booking the lodge and our stay. It was perfect for our family. We never felt like we were on top of each other. So much room and so much to do. No one should ever get bored here. Thank you so much! We are looking at making this an annual vacation!! :)

Fun Family Reunion Property

  • 5 of 5

We had a family group of approximately 35 people stay five nights at the Spring Shores Lodge, and it accommodated our group very nicely in every possible way. The kitchen and dining area provided adequate space for all of us to gather for meals, as well as for multiple small groups to simultaneously play various board/card games or do craft activities in the evening. The kitchen is very well stocked and equipped with all needed items, and is the most functional kitchen I have experienced over the years in a vacation rental. The adjacent great room was also a very comfortable gathering place for short family meetings and discussions. The sleeping arrangements allowed for all seven married couples to each stay in a separate bedroom, while the two bunk rooms nicely accommodated all the children. Even the trundle mattresses in the bunk rooms were very comfortable to sleep on.

The foosball, ping-pong, and pool tables in the game room were of high quality, and were spaced appropriately to allow them to be utilized at the same time. The yard has adequate grass space to simultaneously accommodate multiple outdoor games - we brought volleyball and badminton nets, while the rental was also equipped with bocce ball, crochet, and ladder ball games. The hot tub was also a popular feature for relaxing in the evenings. The private pond was great for canoeing/kayaking (several single seat and tandem kayaks and standup paddle boards are provided at the lodge, as well as a variety a life jackets) and fishing (stripping leach/wooly bugger patterns with sinking tip line proved to be the most productive strategy). We did not swim in the lake, as we were there in the heat of the summer- there was a lot of plant/algae growth in the water, but we still had a fun time being out on the water. The lodge is also well-positioned with good access to UpperLower Mesa Falls, Table Rock/Mountain, Yellowstone National Park, etc.

We also found the owner and those managing the property to be very accommodating and responsive to our needs. The lodge and property were clean and very well maintained. In short, I am certain that our family will return to the Spring Shores Lodge in a future year, as family members expressed a high degree of satisfaction with our reunion experience here. In fact, I have decided to rent it again later this year for a business retreat!

Perfect reunion venue

  • 5 of 5

We just had our second reunion at the property. It is perfect in every way. The only downside was the four-year-old grandson who was very sad when we left the lodge because he couldn't live there.

We loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great experience and would rent again. Just one issue with a collapsing folding table on the back porch and a toilet that was clogged in the bathroom closest to the garage

Owner's Response: Amy R, Sorry about the toilet and the folding table. Justin fixed both once you departed. Thanks for coming! McKay Bodily
