1:15のHautes Alpes（Gap、Vars、Colmar the Alpsなど）

The apartment is clearly one of the Hosts' homes, furnished with everything one could possibly need. The pictures don't do it justice; the living room is much larger than it looks. Because it's their home it's comfortable in a way that corporate or professional VRBO's aren't. Location is perfect, a block from shops and restaurants, easy walking distance to all that Aix has to offer, which is a lot. The hosts were charming and helpful, even lending me their garage so I wouldn't have to walk a distance to a public car park. I wish every VRBO turned out to be as good as this one.

Great location, very quiet. The AC is not enough for the 90 weather in early Sept. there is a minisplit in the small bedroom that works GREAT but only cools that one room. It cant cool the whole apt. . The rest of apt has 2 fans and they cant do much with extreme heat. There are 16 steps to get to apt. They are just a bit tricky to navigate, not bad. As someone else noted the photo is not of the entrance to this building. The entrance to this apt is just one nondescript door in a large long row of apartments on a pedestrian only lane. But the inside fits with the photos, very nice kitchen and patio, charming interior decor that is old but atmospheric. You can easily walk to C Mirabeau, shops are close by.

Frankly the apartment was nicer than my own house. For the price, the quality was outstanding and the location could not be beat. The host was so kind and helpful If I ever return to Aix-en-Provence I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Beautiful Aix!

Marie has a lovely little apartment in beautiful Aix. I was met by Marie, shown around and given the keys. The apartment had everything to make my stay very comfortable including a wecome bottle of delucious rose wine. The location was very close to shops and sights with being too close. I had an excellent stay!

A superb stay in Aix

We very much enjoyed our week in Aix. We loved being in the heart of the city and enjoyed the close proximity to the centre. The property is full of charm and very homely with everything and more than we needed, especially in the kitchen. The outside space was pleasant to sit in. Our hosts were there when we arrived and we felt very welcome.

We felt like we were in a 1900’s apartment just like the old French people! Great assortment of spices, oils and vinegars if you plan to cook. We made fresh pasta with baby clams, mussels and scallops (in a shell) all from the Saturday market. Easy to walk everywhere. Take the little trains. One stops at Cezanne gardens. The patio was lovely. A great week in Aix!

Snug and gorgeous apartment in probably the most beautiful town in the Midi

Marie's flat is two minutes' walk to the cours Mirabeau, the main street in Aix. It is quirkily/ beautifully decorated and has absolutely everything you could possibly need for your stay. I could not fault anything about this accommodation or this town. We absolutely loved it!

Fabulous French appartment

My wife and I had a brilliant two week holiday in this fabulous French appartment. The owner, Marie, is especially helpful and kind, making sure our stay was comfortable. She is very careful to follow up on all correspondence. The appartement is really Nice French style, relaxing and central to town. This is a must stay place if you want culture and cosy.

Home away from home for 2 weeks

Lots of space and style to this home. I had a 25 min walk each way to class and it meant a lot of time to explore the old city. Well equipped and lots of character. The upstairs neighbour was a bit noisy if you are fussy like me - so earplugs might be required. Safe, clean and great communication.

The unit was clean, cute, and in a great location! The only issue we had was a lack of parking. The unit has parking listed as an accommodation, but there is no designated parking for the unit (we were told to find street parking or use the garage which was 20 euros a day). We knew we’d be traveling with a car, which is why we chose a unit which listed parking as an accommodation, so that was a surprise. Our hosts were very kind and the unit had nice touches (leaving extra toiletries out, bread and butter in the fridge, etc.) which we appreciated. I made sure English was an appropriate language before booking, but our instructions for checkout were in French and our host began messaging in French once we arrived, so it made checkout instructions a little unclear (I hope we did everything right)! Overall, we had a great stay and it is a charming unit, but if you have a car know there is no designated parking as is listed.

Marie

Perfectly wonderful

We stayed a week and loved Marie Gilly's apartment. She greeted us warmly and showed us everything we needed to know. She was very responsive to our requests and needs. The apartment is charming and so incredibly equipped with everything we might need. The private patio allows for having coffee or dining outdoors, though it was a little hot (in the 90's) when we visited. The location of this property is absolutely perfect for exploring the old part of Aix-en-Provence. We would be happy to return one day. One thing to know is that the most affordable nearby parking can be found at Parking Pasteur. Just a few minutes walk. Notice also, the VRBO photo labeled exterior is of a nearby famous museum, not the home. The outside of the house is nothing to brag about, but the interior is divine and very authentic historical French!

My wife and I celebrated our 35th anniversary with a week in Aix En Provence. This apartment was perfect for a couple. It had everything we needed and more, and it was much more spacious than we were expecting. Marie answered our questions promptly as we prepared for our trip, and the location and the weather were both fabulous - we recommend a trip the end of September! The dishwasher and Washing machine were an unexpected bonus. The only thing that potential visitors should be aware of is that the apartment is up a fairly steep set of stairs - no problem for us but something we might be more sensitive to if we come back in fifteen years for our fiftieth.Merci pour tout, Marie. Nous nous souvenirons de notre visite!
