About Jonathan Cromwell

I teach and coach football in McKinney ISD, my wife Sarah teaches in Garland ISD, and we have two awesome boys named Rocky and Rhett. Our lives are hectic and we enjoy every minute we get to make the 50 minute drive from our home in Collin County to our Lake Texoma Treehouse! Being at the cabin makes you feel like you are living in an amusement park where everybody knows who you are. You will see more golf carts then cars on our streets but don't worry there are usually only a few of those!

Jonathan Cromwell purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Jonathan Cromwell chose Lake Texoma

We purchased this property for a couple of reasons: it is not in a subdivision which allows ultimate seclusion, it is the perfect size for our family right now and leaves room for growth, the opportunity to make many great memories is awesome, it is ONLY 50 minutes from our home in Collin County, the water is only 500 feet from the front door, and the Corp of Engineers property is about 15 feet from our driveway. Absolutely beautiful!

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

Really nice vrbo. We have stayed at several and it really makes a difference when you can get a hold of the owner. Jonathan texted back when we had any questions.

Rental was very clean, adequately set up and stocked. The location was also very close to the water.

It was a little chilly when we went so we played games inside and took advantage of his DVD collection. We also made fires outside.

Overall great experience and really enjoyed bonding with the fam.

Great Cabin in the Woods!

  • 5 of 5

This is one of our favorite cabin vacations. We are a family of 5 and we were very comfortable with plenty of room. This is one of the most well-prepared cabins we've stayed in, with everything we needed. We also like that it is a relatively short drive from DFW. The location is attractive being adjacent to protected woods on the lake, so we can walk to the woods and the lake. My kids had a blast fishing, using the canoe, and getting dirty from head to toe. The owners were very helpful and pleasant to deal with and had excellent communications, information, directions and other helpful hints.

Fun little Treehouse!

  • 5 of 5

We wanted a quick, last minute weekend getaway with our 3 kids and stumbled upon the Treehouse at Lake Texoma, and I’m so glad we did!! We have a 15, 6 and 2 year old – and this cozy retreat had something for everyone. We hiked down to the sandy beach and fished a few times and took golf cart rides around the area. Friday night we got pizza from Roma’s – it was pretty good!! Saturday morning, we had breakfast at Mama’s Café and it did not disappoint. Late Saturday afternoon my husband and I had a few drinks by the bonfire and listened to our Fightin’ Aggies whoop some South Carolina butt, while our kids used the metal detector for hours! ;-) The Treehouse was definitely family-friendly and we were extremely appreciative of that, as our 2-year-old can be quite difficult to keep entertained. Both evenings we all settled in the living room to watch movies. BEST MOVIE SELECTION EVER!!!!! Seriously. All in all, we had a wonderful time – and will recommend the Treehouse to everyone.

Fishing with grand boy's

  • 5 of 5

We went with our two grandson's from August 16 through 19, 2016 on fishing trip stayed at the tree house cabin.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The cabin had everything you needed. We also visited two other places to go fishing that was only about ten minute drive from the cabin. The boys enjoyed using the canoe that the cabin had. The cabin was enough room for the four of us and lots of trees out side, at night time it was so peaceful to set out side on the deck. There was even a outside grill to cook on that was nice. I would go back to this place again and would recommend to any one. If you needed any thing you could call the owner, Johnathan, whom was very helpful, thank you again.
