This large walled and gated three bedroom home features the master bedroom on the second level with an adobe chimney, walk-in closet, a large bathroom with a whirlpool tub, and a large outside terrace. The downstairs area has two bedrooms plus a TV room that can serve as a fourth bedroom, all connected by a hallway and a full bathroom and a powder room. A large open area encompasses the living room with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room that leads to a large covered terrace for relaxing and comfortable outside living.
Casa Adobe is located in a quiet cul-de-sac in Las Tunas, a beach neighborhood of Todos Santos, and the only area in town with underground utilities. There are beautiful ocean views from several areas of the house and it is only a five minute walk to the beach. You are seven minutes from town on a new paved road and an equal distance to La Pastora, a great surfing break and a favorite to many locals.
Being situated by the Pacific Ocean, Todos Santos has excellent sunsets all year round and Casa Adobe has several areas to enjoy them from. Bocana Las Tunas, the beach in front, is also a great and popular place to enjoy the sundown. If you want to be more adventurous, a short drive to La Pastora will provide a beautiful afternoon setting for this.

Born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico. Settled in Todos Santos with my family since 1998.
Erik Castellanos purchased this house in 2004
Great Location, unobstructed ocean views. Close to the town and close to the beach. Very quiet cul-de-sac in an established neighborhood.
Great architecture and design. Solidly built with adobe walls and high ceilings. Excellent unobstructed ocean views with underground infrastructure. Great open living area with extensive covered terraces for outside living. Cozy feeling. Very quiet neighborhood. Peacefull.
This property is a fully functioning home which makes staying in baja an easy pleasure. The covered patio with ocean view and healthy mature garden is the best part of it. Erik is a cool guy and Todos resident who can help you out with local info, but also very non intrusive and understanding of a guests desire for privacy. We came with two small girls and there is a perfect room for them, while we enjoyed the great master bedroom above (with sundeck). This easy, comfortable home made this one of our best trips to todos in many years-
We spent a week at Casa Adobe and had a great, quiet and relaxing vacation. We love Todos Santos, with the beach, restaurants, great flour tortillas, surfing, everything. The house was fantastic. It is clean, bright, spacious and the kitchen is wonderful to cook in. It's a quick drive to surfing beaches, fresh fish to buy right from the fishermen and great coffee at Baja Beans.
Eric was great to us. He was available if we had any questions, respected our privacy and returned our cleaning deposit immediately. That was really great. And the dogs who live nearby were sweeter than sweet.
The house is wonderful, so quiet and very peaceful. We'll definitely be back!
We just stayed during Christmas break and could not be happier. The house is new and built out of adobe bricks and there is beautiful concrete work throughout so we felt like we were staying in a very high quality home--a feeling that's hard to describe but it just felt very solid and quiet. The neighborhood was quiet too, and perfectly situated: a 10 minute walk to the beach and 5-minute drive to town. We rented a car and split our time between discovering local beaches/playas (Las Palmas, Cerritos, Pastora, Punto Lobos, La Posa) and going into town to check out restaurants and shops. Each beach was beautiful and unique in its own way.
We had two teenager girls in our group (4 ppl total) who were there to volunteer for a sea turtle nonprofit, and when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that the nonprofit, Tortugueros Las Playitas, was a 10-minute walk away so the girls were able to walk to the beach every day and volunteer to help out with the baby sea turtle releases (Dec.-April). Pair that with a beautiful sunset every night and it was heaven.
Our favorite parts of the house were the open kitchen and dining area that opened up via large patio doors to the private garden with fruit trees and the beautiful ocean view, the 1,200 square feet of covered outdoor space for reading books and whale watching, and the jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom. We drove to local fruit/vegetable stands every day and loaded up with organic food for great meals and smoothies in the house. We even found cake tins in the well-stocked kitchen to make cake, and the pantry had all the necessary basics. Punto Lobos is the beach where local fisherman bring in fresh catches every day so it's worth a stop to buy local fish and grill it on the patio.
Eric was great in communicating what to expect, where the beaches were, how to get to the house and showed us around when we arrived. He also has a couple of restaurants in town and we ate at one, La Morena, several times for dinner and breakfast. It ended up being our favorite restaurant in Todos Santos: very reasonable and fresh, local fare. (Chicken mole, chocolate mousse, sigh.) Eric invited us to the restaurant's NY's Eve party where there was great live music and a fun crowd--a mix of locals and tourists.
We would definitely go back to this slice of heaven in Baja and stay here again!
We spent Christmas week in Todos Santos at this lovely property. Erik (the owner) was extremely gracious from our first email exchange to the day we left Todos Santos when he returned my deposit in full. Very quick to respond to my every question, very respectful of our privacy, extremely helpful in every way (he bought and delivered 2 large pots which we needed for Christmas day's pozole). He also speaks perfect english (which was great for me (alas, no spanish) as I handled all arrangements). We were a family of 7 adults and the house was perfect, SO MUCH room. Space for everyone to do their thing, we never felt crowded. Plenty of places (inside & out) for playing music, reading, napping, puzzling, cooking, all happening simultaneously. HUGE exterior sitting areas & dining area, beautiful landscaped private back yard. The kitchen is equipped with EVERY thing! (And now 2 new large pots in case you too want to make a pot of pozole). The style of Erik's home is modern, clean & very simple: concrete floors, beautiful solid wood windows & doors, wonderful art, with touches of family but mostly it felt like a home & not a hotel room. Extremely high ceilings in all rooms, very private and quiet large master bedroom all alone on the second floor with gigantic outdoor patio area & great views of the ocean, ceiling fans everywhere. Bathrooms are clean & modern and the master bath very large. Great abundant hot water, extra outdoor shower! Washer and dryer worked well. Erik left us lots of extras so that we didn't need to run to the market for little things (paper towels, water, spices....) The beach is just down the dirt road, a nice walk. It's a beautiful beautiful beach (NO one on it but us), but the ocean was rough and a little intimidating for some of us (very typical of the Pacific side of Baja). They were releasing sea turtles on our beach every evening at dusk which was lots of fun! We walked to the beach one night & saw 120 of the tiny little guys run to the sea. We never walked to town, but then we did have 2 rental cars and we used them. Erik's family has several restaurants in town and we sampled one which was super tasty! We will try the others when we return, which ALL of us would like to do. Summing up, I have stayed in more than a few VRBOs and this one definitely heavily exceeded my expectations! My family congratulated me over and over all week, but it's really Erik who deserves the praise and thanks. Gracias, Erik!!
We really loved our stay at casa adobe. Erik is a wonderful host and super helpful with tips of where to go and eat. He thoughtfully had a crib brought over to the house before we arrived and then brought a tricycle for our toddler the next day. It was so nice of him and we really appreciated it. The house is well stocked and have plenty of amenities and well planned out so you are not really missing anything especially when cooking which we loved to do. The outdoor space is awesome. We spent most of our time outside in the patio and left the windows open at night so we can hear the waves all night long. The view from the house is amazing. You can see the sunrise over the sea and the sunsets are just spectacular. We hope to visit more often in the future and will definitely stay at Erik's house again.
