  • Cerritos beach is awesome

"We resently stayed at el sol del Pacifico and have nothing but good things to say. We arrived in the evening and with the instructions provided by Larry we were able to access the property and room no problem. The condo was clean and spacious with a great view of the ocean! From the deck we saw whales and rays jumping out of the pacific as well as a clear view of the pool. The whole condo complex was very clean with house keepers working around the clock to keep it that way. We were may be one of 8 families staying with in the complex. We usually had the pool which was perfect for our 4 and 5 year old beginning swimmers. Cerritos beach was great for our kids with a sand bar access able when the tide was low with clear blue waters and clean soft sand to play in. The locals are friendly with horse back rides and vendors who were not to pushy on the north side of the beach. If you are a surfer with family this is a great beach to vacation on! I was a little dissipointed on this trip because the surf never picked up more Than 1-2ft. I have surfed on a 5-8 swell and was awesome! All and all I would highly recommend this condo for a great family vacation! We stay in San Jose feel cabo at the cabo Azul for the end of our trip wishing we were back at Cerritos! Thanks Larry and we'll see you next December!"

  • Marvelous House on the Beach

"Great stay over Christmas. LeeAnn was terrifically responsive by e-mail and phone. She also sent a nice packet of materials to help find our way up from SJD. The photos on the website reveal a very attractive house, well situated right on Cerritos Beach. They show exactly what you can expect. Two large bedrooms with sliding glass doors and a huge slider in the living room. We had them open all day – no issues with bugs. The shaded front porch faces the ocean – perfect for watching the breaching whales! We listened to the surf pound at night. The kitchen is fine, though we didn’t really do any cooking. Critically, there is a small coffee pot and filters. I brought coffee with me and enjoyed early cups on the front porch every morning. Lighting was good for reading at night and Wi-Fi worked fine for our needs. Judging by the lack of significant security around the homes in the area, safety doesn’t seem to be a problem. The house comes well equipped - really everything you could need for the beach. Boogie & surf boards, etc. I liked the location quite a bit. You can get gringo priced food and drinks right on the water at the north end of the beach. There is a sand parking lot used by locals just to the north of the casa. It was reasonably well used over the holidays, but not an issue. It is a very big beach and most of the activity is on the north end. Just to the south is a new architecturally challenged development, maybe 6-8 units that looks like it still has some work to do. A little further south is a very large and still growing condo complex. Neither had much activity – even over Christmas. Beyond that the beach is pretty empty. I ran every day. The beach was a little soft and slanted the further south I went. So, I headed north and ran over the headland to San Pedrito Beach. Beautiful. Todos Santos & El Pescadero have nice restaurants. Don’t miss lunch or dinner at FreeSouls down at Cerritos. Not Mexican really, but outstanding. LeeAnn’s recommendations for restaurants were good. Do drive to La Paz to snorkel with the whale sharks – very cool and highly recommended. Great stay - thanks for the hospitality!"

  • This Villa has it all!

"I stayed at the Pescadero Palace with my family from Sept. 2-12, and we had a great time! I usually don’t write reviews, but after staying, or touring, almost every other beach house in the area over the past few years, it was nice to finally find a clean, fun, and well maintained Villa (with everything working!). My boys like to surf, and you can’t get any closer to the waves, just walk out front. My little girl and I liked the pool and Jacuzzi, and my husband went surf fishing right off the beach in front of the Villa. We can’t wait to come back this winter, thank you!"
