Great host and location!

Great location right near metro. Loved living in a local neighborhood for a week! Grocery and eateries nearby! Marta’s flat is a great option to consider!

The host double booked and we were left on the street

Worst experience ever. We booked about a few months in advance and the host messaged us a few days after reservation. On the day of our trip we kept messaging the host but never got the reply. When we arrived at the location (in the evening) we finally called her and thats when she told us the flat was already occupied. It was around 8 pm, we were in the middle of the street with our bags after a whole day of traveling. Vrbo also didn’t do absolutely anything besides give us the refund. We had to check in a hotel.

Centrally located and easy!

It was very easy to get around from the apartment. Only located up one flight of stairs, just steps from the Metro. Bathroom was spacious with great water pressure. Kitchen was fully stocked and all we could need. While the apartment does sleep 4, the couch/bed is a bit rough for adults to sleep on. Not much natural light and fans are a must to keep cool. Worth the price and the host was excellent.

Barcelona stay

We had an amazing stay in a great location. Walking distance from a train line that connects to the airport - very easy to get to. And an arms length from a metro that connects you in the city. (But you are in the city in the location) The host was helpful and welcoming and we had a great stay. Some renovation work needed done inside the place - but it was scheduled to happen and it didn’t cause us any problem.

Excellent location, clean and comfortable

My first time using VRBO and had a great experience. Marta was an awesome host letting me check in early. The maid was there when I arrived who was so nice and tried hard to communicate with suggestions on where to go and all the details of the apartment. She also made the place spotless for me by the time I returned later that day. The location is great on a very busy street (like most all streets in Barcelona) but I couldn’t hear any traffic noise while in the apartment. Plenty of places to eat/shop and subway literally outside the front door. No complaints at all. Thanks Marta!!

Nice Clean Apartment

It was close to the metro and easy to get around. The apartment was cute and clean. Our second bed option was only a mattress on the floor, but this place was cheaper than some of the other options. The host was very nice and was helpful in giving us an overview of the city.

Great location and a wonderful host!

I stayed here with my husband and 5 year old daughter. The flat was spacious, clean and stocked with everything we needed to make it a comfortable stay. It is nearby the metro, shopping, restaurants and markets. Marta was a wonderful. She is warm and personable. You can get in touch with her anytime and she responds very quickly. We really enjoyed our stay in Barcelona. Marta, thank you for being so kind and accommodating! We hope to visit you again in the future! ox

Great location!

We had a bIt of a problem locating the property, and i would recommend VRBO use cross streets to help locate properties, especially in Europe, as addresses cN be confusing. However the home and location were SUPERB, and our host so helpful and responsive even for a couple of ‘70 year olds who cannot seem to understand our phones. Just great!

Marta was well stocked with all utensils and kitchen machines

We enjoyed Barcelona very much but unknown to Marta, the first day we arrived, men started rebuilding the vacancy next door and the noise from 8:30 to 5pm never let up until they drilled a hole right through the wall where our table was. Marta did all she could to stop it but it took a few days. We do not blame her but it did affect our stay. The flat was every nice although we did miss windows to see the outdoors. All in all, we did like Barcelona and thank Marta for her efforts.

Stink Stank Stunk!

No, it's not how the Grinch stole Christmas! It's Marta's moldy flat! Those who gave this high reviews must have very low standards. This place is a dump! When we saw the mold, we refused to stay there. Inhaling mold causes health issues. My husband and I then had to walk around for hours trying to find an available hotel at the last minute. When I showed Marta the pictures of the mold and demanded a refund, she pretended not to speak English and proceeded to ignore me. We have filed a formal complaint with VRBO. Shame on Marta and shame on VRBO for allowing an apartment to be rented in this condition!

Convenient, nice neighborhood and very nice host

The location makes for a very easy commute, you can walk from the Barcelona Sants station easily even with a suitcase. The metro L1 line placa de sants stop is also right next to the flat. We also found it easy and very enjoyable to walk to Montjuic for the magic fountain show in the evening and in the mornings for a lovely panoramic view of the city. There are lots of great bakeries nearby and a grocery store right across the street. Marta was also great, very helpful and nice.

EXCELLENT PROPERTY

My SAME SEX spouse and I asked to reserve this apartment letting Marta know that we were a same sex couple and she had NO PROBLEM with that. Marta was always pleasant through our correspondence all the way until our arrival. The apartment is PLENTY big with a great bedroom, bathroom, small kitchen, dining and small kitchen. Linens are provided and there is even a washer. We LIKE the fact that it is on the FIRST LEVEL and not many stairs to climb. ESPECIALLY after a long day of touring Barcelona!! What is especially WONDERFUL about this apartment is the LOCATION. It is a 30 step walk from the underground metro and you can get ANYWHERE in Barcelona in a MAX of 15 minutes. There is a GREAT bakery about 6 doors down from the apartment with the greatest almond croissants and pastries and COFFEE. They open at 7:15 daily. Several grocery stores within a minutes walk and a QUIET, COMFORTABLE neighborhood, VERY SAFE at night. We will DEFINITELY stay with Marta when we return to Barcelona.

Beyond my expectations ...

I asked her for a ride from the airport; I had read that for 25€ she'll go, despite flight arriving at midnight she went. It was as if a family member had come for us, Marta is such a nice lady, I felt as if I knew her for years. She took time even though it was 1am to show us in the map our surroundings and gave us tips on how to go around the city and saving on the metro card. Her apartment is so conveniently located to everything, we walked to eat, grocery store. Metros are near by and with her advice we were able to make the best of our trip. Camp Nou is walking distance which was our main point of interest. She checked in to see if we needed anything and she responded quick when we text her. We left Barcelona with the desire on coming back to her place. I almost booked somewhere else and I'm so glad I didn't. This was such a good choice....Marta we will come back and stay at your place again. Thanks for everything.

Great Location!

This place was a right next to the subway, great location to visit all the attractions in Barcelona. Marta arranged for our pick up very late at night and early morning return to the airport which was much appreciated! I would recommend to stay at this place when visiting Barcelona.

Wonderfull

Wow Clean fully equipped with Kitchen ware and by surprise found much needed Cooking Items (Oil ,Spices ,Salt,Sugar ,Tea bags etc) She sent some one to pick us from Airport and back to airport lots of guidance location is excellent we walked to Market Sant Bus station Camp nu ,metro station just front of the flat ,Telephone calls and Internet cafe just behind bldg and of course the rent is very much fare and Most of all The Owner Martha and her friend are so pleasant Thank you Marta we had good time in Spain and Portugal back home now -wish you all the best we determinately will book this flat again

Bien!

Notre séjour s'est très bien passé! Arrivés par avion à El Prat nous avons suivis les conseils de Marta et c'était parfait. L'appartement est excellement situé proche de toutes commodités avec magasins et supermarché mais aussi en transport avec bus, métro et train! L'appartement est correct pour 3 personnes (2 adultes 1 enfants). Il faisait chaud mais nous avions des ventilateurs donc ça a été. Il y a quelques petites réparations à faire (bouton du four, baguette de seuil de la salle de bain et porte papier toilette, etc) sinon tout est ok! Ce n'est pas un palace mais au vu du tarif, vous trouverez difficilement mieux! Marta est une hôte très agréable, réactive (nous nous sommes retrouvés bloqués dehors, elle nous a dépanné en 15 minutes!) et elle est de très bon conseils!
