About Kevin Lewis

Our ancestors helped settle Pine Valley and we're proud of their great heritage here. We've spent a lot of time roaming these hills, and caring for the properties here. After starting my own family I decided to take a more serious stake in the area. In 2011, we purchased the Brandin' Iron Steakhouse (it was closed at the time) and began renovations. With the success of the restaurant we looked across the street and found a great opportunity to restore the old Pine Valley Lodge. With a little TLC we've transformed it into an ideal location for reunions and retreats. The Lodge opened in May of 2015.

Why Kevin Lewis chose Utah

Pine Valley is a place like no other. Just a few miles from the red sandstone, but thousands of feet above the desert - way up in the mountains, sits a pristine green valley surrounded by huge ponderosa pines. Pine Valley provides a refreshing and rejuvenating escape from the rugged desert landscape and the Pine Valley Lodge is a perfect place to come together.

Less than 150 people call Pine Valley home so this is a place where you can truly get away from it all. As a boy, I had friends who owned the property. The Lodge and cabins were our base camp for discovery. Now I'm rekindling those boyhood adventures for my own family, and creating refreshing opportunities for other families like yours!

What makes this lodge unique

A rustic pine lodge, a wooden plank deck, the smell of ponderosa pine, the sight of mule deer grazing on the grass at sunset, brilliant starlit skies at night and the sound of silence. What more could you ask for in a refreshing get-a-way? Once you experience the solitude here, you may never want to leave.

Absolutely perfect!!

  • 5 of 5

This is the second year in a row that my family has enjoyed our weekend long Christmas party here. Our family ranges from 9 months to 68 years old, and this place accommodates the whole crowd! The kids love staying in the comfy little cabins, hanging out by the camp fire, playing games in the game room, playing basket ball, climbing on the play set, and when needs be, streaming Netflix in the big open living room of the lodge!

The kitchen is well stocked, with plenty of dishes, utensils, cookware, and fridge and freezer space for our large group of 60!! Plenty of beds for everyone, and with the many restrooms, there was never any waiting, which is rare in a large group! There were extra tables and chairs to pull out during the "Christmas Party", which we made good use of, leaving the kitchen and dining area free from all the hungry kid traffic. I plan on booking this place every year, if possible. It was absolutely perfect!!

Beautiful location, awesome for big groups

  • 5 of 5

We gathered at Pine Valley Lodge for a 3-day faculty retreat and booked the location in the fall - perfect time to be in this little mountain town! The lodge had everything that we needed - plenty of space for everyone to stay, a large gathering area for meetings, lots of space on the property to get outside and play as a group, awesome kitchen with two ovens and two dishwashers. This quaint lodge was the perfect backdrop for our gathering and the owners were super great to work with. We had a wonderful time!

Great Property, kind owners, beautiful location!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the Pine Valley Lodge. The owners were kind, the property great, plenty of room for outdoor and indoor fun. The ice cream shop across the road was a bonus. There were many beautiful hiking trails less than a mile away at the Pine Valley Recreation Center. The owner sent lots of good information prior to check in, and even sent a great video with a full tour prior to arrival. We loved it, and hope to return!

Fantastic property!!

  • 5 of 5

This lodge was exactly what our family was looking for. It was clean, well maintained and big enough to accommodate our group. My family was pleasantly surprised at the overall feel of the lodge. We had one dinner catered from the Brandin Iron Restaurant which was excellent. The food was delicious and they were right on time delivering the meal. Overall our family reunion was a huge success thanks to the Lodge at Pine Valley. Thanks!!

Great property for large family gatherings - highly recommend

  • 5 of 5

This was great for our family reunion. Kitchen had everything we needed - loved the commercial sized fridge and freezer. In addition to the two large tables inside and the numerous picnic tables outside, we were delighted to find folding tables and chairs stored on site. There was plenty of room to set them up inside the main lodge or there is a concrete patio area where you could set them up outside. Very nice having bathrooms in all the bedrooms in the lodge and the roost. Little ones thought it was very cool to stay in the bunk beds in the little cabins. Be aware that there are no bathrooms in the cabins, but there are plenty close by. Might be an issue for some. Older kids liked the game room and volleyball net. Younger ones liked the playground. And you can't beat the location. Pine Valley is beautiful anytime of the year.

Perfect spot for a BIG family or a small (14 person) company with separate sleeping quarters!!Perfec

  • 5 of 5

We rented Pine Valley Lodge for a weeklong company offsite. We had a total of 14 folks and what was very important to us was that each person had their own private sleeping quarters which was the case - PERFECT. The sleeping rooms are described perfectly in the photos that are displayed and dining area accommodated the team of 14 as we sat at a long table and the side table allowed for a small group to play games when others were hanging out. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of dishes, cups and utensils and they two refrigerators (a super big one in the room behind the kitchen). The outdoor area which houses a "campground" like feel with a fire bit and a roost where the ping pong table is perfect for entertainment.

Our group did not want to cook so we worked closely with the owner to ensure that all our catering needs were met. Jeff, Sarah and Larry were amazing and took note of all our dietary restrictions and provided us with a pre discussed menu that worked perfectly and was very delicious. My team is a picky group and really enjoyed all our meals. Meals were delivered in a timely fashioned and pick up of the meal was timed well also. To really have this type of service available to you takes so much off your plate when trying to plan for your group and Jeff and family made it seamless for us.

If you are looking for a perfect family getaway (the entire area sleeps about 58-60 if folks are bunking together or 14 separately, look no further. Waking up to clean fresh mountainous air is amazing and yet so calming and the surrounding cows, horses and wild turkeys really helps to make you slow your roll on a Utah getaway.
