Comfortably sleeps 4 people. There is a king size bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room.
The reef in front of our building is one of the premier kitesurfing and windsurfing areas on Maui. When the wind is blowing, you are in for quite a show! One of the best surfing beaches on Maui is also within walking distance. It takes a North or Northwest swell for S-Turns to work it's magic for surfing! S-Turns has both left and right break and has a sandy bottom. A typical NW swell produces 4-6 foot waves that are perfect for longboarding. This is rare on Maui!
Why should you stay in our condo? It's hard to compare our condo to other vacation properties from just the pictures. All of the condos in our building are unique. While they are all in the same building, many are dated and well-worn, the ground floor units suffer from privacy issues. And many owners defer maintenance and prefer to treat their properties like a hotel with little regard for the guest experience. We take great pride in keeping our vacation home clean, well maintained, comfortable and in top condition! Our condo was recently remodeled using high quality materials by a top contractor and it shows! When something wears out or looks dated, we have it replaced or repaired immediately. We provide beach towels, snorkel gear, binoculars for whale watching, boogie boards, beach chairs, extra pillows, soaps, shampoo and conditioner and much more! We have new “smart “TV’s with Netflix, even Bluetooth speakers so you can listen to YOUR music. We have installed screened security doors so that you can leave the doors open and listen to the wind and waves! There is really no comparison to most of the other condos in our building (or area) and the things that we provide for your vacation experience. Please read our reviews!
Our condo is a legal short term rental in the State of Hawaii and Maui. This is very important as there are many short term rentals that do not pay these taxes and could put your stay in jeopardy. We pay the Transient Accommodations Tax (TAT) of 10.25% and the General Excise Tax of 4.17% directly to the State of Hawaii. Hawaii Tax License/registration number: GET 177-444-2496-01

• There are beach towels in the condo for your use along with bath towels.
• The kitchen is stocked with utensils, pots, pans and most things you need for cooking. There is a microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer and stove/oven.
While we can't guarantee it, we encounter sea turtles on almost a daily basis in front of our condo. We enjoy whale watching from our lanai (balcony) If you like to snorkel, jump in the water there is great snorkeling right out front of the condo. We just learned to surf at S-Turns park which is a short walk from the condo.
Great restaurants are close by, we can give a recommendation if you would like.
There is a cleaning fee for each stay which is included in your total from Airbnb. We believe in paying a living wage to the maids that clean our condo. Hawaii is an expensive place to live and raise a family. We hope that you understand why our rates are what they are. We do not "mark up" the cleaning fee in any manner, it is the actual fee charged by our cleaning service.
Our on island management company requires that food items left in the condo be removed due to liability reasons, food allergies, health department codes, and religious or philosophical issues that may impact a guest. They will actually toss any perishable or questionable items left in the condo refrigerator or kitchen cupboards. Anything with sugar in it is also a problem due to the possibility that it will attract insects and pests. We make every attempt to provide the basics for your stay; salt, pepper, cooking oil, some spices, etc. Please remember, this a vacation home and we live 3,000 miles away - we can’t always ensure exactly what’s in the condo when you get there. Food safety is important to us and your health and we hope you understand.
We also provide, coffee for your first day, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, and paper towels. We do not provide laundry detergent. Our kitchen does come fully stocked with all of the pots, pans and utensils that you will need to cook and we have a “Mr. Coffee” style coffee maker, blender, microwave, etc.
You should strongly consider shopping for your stay in Kahului (near the airport) if you’re planning on cooking or staying for an extended period. There is a Costco, Target, Wal-Mart, Whole Foods, Safeway and other “big box” stores in this area. We do have many local markets in the area but things are VERY expensive in Hawaii and Maui is the most expensive of all the Hawaiian islands. You’ll probably have “sticker shock” when you see milk for $7 a gallon for the first time.
There is public transportation. We are right on a bus line. Parking is included for one vehicle.

About Maria Russell
We are business owners in the Seattle Washington Area. We have two kids and three dogs. We travel 3-4 times per year and like to go some place warm at least once a year -- because it rains a LOT in Seattle! We do a lot of our business through e-mail and "the cloud" so great Internet access is a MUST HAVE for us. We like culture, music and off-beat things. Especially if it involves good food! We own multiple condos in the area. We love this area of Hawaii and Maui in particular. We know almost all of our neighbors and have spent a lot of time hiking and eating our way around the island. The tropical plants around our building are amazing which is what brought us to this particular condo. We are here as much as possible and around the area almost all winter.

We have visited Maui many times before deciding to purchase a condo. What was important to us was being close to the beach. Why go all this way and not be able to hear the surf crashing at night? Our condo is great because it's not in one of those huge high rise buildings. It's a very well maintained building with lush tropical landscaping that is close to shopping, restaurants and all the outdoor activities that we like to do. We hope you feel the same way. What makes this Condo unique
West Maui is quiet and the beaches are a lot less crowded than other areas on the island. The best part of this area are the calm trade winds that seem to blow most of the time and keep the area comfortable. And we are very close to many good restaurants, beaches and surf breaks - All of the things we like about Hawaii! We love exploring the island and then coming back to our own private retreat. We're located close to Honolua Bay which we aren't going to describe, but it should be on everyone's bucket list! You need to experience this place for yourself. We love the drive to Hana on the back road. All of the rental car agencies tell you not to do it. We wouldn't do it at night, but it is AMAZING. The upcountry town of Makawao has an artist village and a bakery that you don't want to miss. If you really want to see some world class surfing, head to the North Shore and go to Ho'okipa. We've seen turtles their EVERY time we visit sunning themselves on the beach. We counted 19 on our last trip. You'll want to visit Haleakala crater and view the sunrise at 10,000 feet. You'll talk about this for the rest of your life.

This is the second time we have been to this property and it is great. Very comfortable and easy access to everything. The view is spectacular!
You can’t get closer to the ocean!
Maria’s property has been recently updated and has an outstanding ocean view a stone
throw from the water. In season, you can spot whales and turtles from the balcony. It is conveniently located near Kapalua with easy access to West Maui beaches, activities, and restaurants. Thank you Maria for sharing your lovely home with us!
Amazing view nicely updated condo
What a wonderful condo complex. Centrally located with fabulous beaches minutes away. The unit is well appointed with everything need for a comfortable stay. The best lawn in Hawaii. Comfortable king bed. The view is unbeatable, turtles and lizards right out front provide endless hours of entertainment. Can't wait to stay there again
Ocean front, quiet and luxurious condo!
The pictures you see are what you are going to experience! I traveled with my two best friends and we had the best time! We stayed 9 nights and didn't want to leave. The condo was spotless and the kitchen was well stocked. The owners also provided beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella and snorkeling gear. Maria was very responsive and great to deal with! She provided a long list of places to eat, hike and explore. We referred to that list daily! We spent many hours in the lanai watching sea turtles frolic in the water. While sitting on the lanai you will feel that you are staying in one of those huts on the water as immediately in front of the condo is a rock wall and the water always comes all the way up. We could of easily thrown a rock in the water from our lanai. The sunsets were so beautiful! There is a beach just steps from the condo. There are also some fantastic snorkeling beaches just minutes from the condo. The owner was spot on about Maui Brewing company. We went there 3 times during our visit as it was so close and the food and beer were excellent and reasonable priced. I would avoid The China Boat restaurant. We are there one night and was so disappointed with the service and the food. Opposite of that, we are at Mamas Fish House located about 50 minutes from the condo. If you have the opportunity, eat there! This by far is the best restaurant that I have ever eaten at. The location, service and food were amazing! Reservations are a must. Just be aware that it is pricey but so worth it!
If you want to have a serene, breathtaking view of the ocean, fall asleep to the waves crashing and wake up to birds chirping this is the place for you. We can't wait to stay here again!!
An updated, oceanside property, absolutely amazing views and the location was excellent!
This property is amazing! The forward-thinking owners provided us with everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The unit has been recently remodeled and it is breath-taking. The building is safe, secure and very clean. I hesitate to say too much because we want another week open for us in the future, but this property is a jewel!

The view is second to none, the whale watching was great, Turtles swimming along the sea wall. The suggested places to go where all good.
