Modern luxury villa in secluded gardens, close walk to the beach, marina & town

'Casa Maurice' is a beautifully appointed modern villa and has every facility you will need to enjoy a perfect stay in one of the Algarve's most attractive areas. With direct access to Meia Praia, an unspoilt beach with good restaurant facilities available day and night, and also the fabulous 'Marina de Lagos'. The villa is ideally positioned, whilst offering superb accommodation with five large bedrooms, with further accommodation if required, a large modern lounge, indoor/outdoor dining and a fully equipped kitchen. There are private terraces on two levels, with a choice of BBQ and outdoor private dining facilities, large open pool terrace, manicured gardens and private heated 42ft swimming pool ( pool heating available for an additional fee March to October). There is a video entry system and secure parking, together with a new games room, air conditioning and central heating for an all-year round rental opportunity. Just 12 mins walk to the beach, marina & town with many excellent restaurants, cafes and bars offering consistency & varied choice.


Flexibility of accommodation and disabled access: The owners welcome comments from guests and aim to provide a quality accommodation experience.
The accommodation within the large bedrooms can be altered to suit individual requirements. i.e the position of twin bedded rooms, or double bedded rooms etc. A disabled access ramp can be provided, from the entrance gate, with accommodation available on the ground floor for disabled persons, with direct access to the garden areas & swimming pool, kitchen, bbq terrace, lounge & private bedroom.

'Got back today from the villa. We had a fantastic holiday which was mainly because Casa Maurice is absolutely stunning. It far exceeded our expectations. The weather really went well for us and having the pool meant that during the day we didn't often venture too far from the terrace. We did have a look at the beautiful beaches in the area but as expected the sea was way too cold for us brits so back to our villa we happily went' - Many thanks again.

A new Games room has been installed in the completely refurbished lower ground floor. Complete with a twin bedroom adjacent with ensuite shower, this excellent centrally heated facility comprises of a full size pool table (slate bed), table football, table tennis and electronic darts, the games room will be popular with adults and children of all ages!

Great location, perfect for large groups!

The villa was perfect for two families, enough privacy for everyone. It's the perfect location as well, walking distance from the beach (20 minute walk), short drive to Lagos central. The basement pool table room and BBQ area were perfect for large group entertaining. The house itself was exactly how it was described and the property manager was extremely responsive.

Family villa

Great villa, our grandkids loved the heated pool (so did we!) nice walk to the beach. Cars were safe on gated drive. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, but needs new dishwasher. Check-in simple. Quiet street. Overall first class.

Superb Villa

Wonderful stay at this superb villa . Hard time getting Girls & Boys out of pool. Only came out for food and water. Plenty of space and great games room downstairs with terrific variety of games to play, just in case the weather turns bad. Not too far from Marina , just 20mins walk. Will defo book again sometime soon.

Fantastic Villa & Holiday

We have just returned from Casa Sara (Olivia- Rose) We were lucky with the weather, the pool was a great temperature, and the grandchildren loved it. The villa was a good size for our large party (11) & there was plenty of room for the children to play. The games room was a big hit although a bit musty. You can easily walk from the villa to the beach, where there are many excellent bars and restaurants. The local small store is well stocked with essentials. I would certainly book from Jolie & Christopher again. Jolie made the booking process very easy & answered emails promptly.

Great location

Perfect spot for our group of 7 adults and 2 kids. Short walk to Meia Praia or to Marina. A new snack bar has recently opened in the neighborhood which was perfect for morning coffee, afternoon beers, lunch or dinner. Large pool and surrounding outside space made for relaxing time at the house. Quiet neighborhood but close to everything Lagos has to offer

Family time

Cassa Maurice offered a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the proximity to all attractions. Jolie was attentive to our requests. Some of the appliances are dated and the basement bedroom lacks privacy. Some amenities could be more generous. All in all we would recommend the place for a family vacation

I used the villa to bring a party of friends for my 60th birthday, having been to Lagos before. From the day we booked the villa, Chris sent us a comprehensive brochure full of info. When we arrived we were more than satisfied with the villa and it,s facilities, the pool was cleaned 3 times during our stay, and the gardens and lawns were kept immaculate, every member of the party said this was the best villa they had stopped in. The electric barbecue equipment was excellant, and we enjoyed the games room facilities, we would not hesitate to recommend the villa

A truly 5 star experience

Myself and my family of five needed a good holiday and wanted to visit Lagos, which is wonderful place for a family visit. We chose Casa Maurice as it seemed to tick all the boxes for us, and I am thrilled that we did. The villa is superb and has everything that you will need for a lovely family holiday. It is also in an ideal location being close to everything. We walked everywhere and we feel fitter for it! Chris the owner had service to a tee and looked after us in the planning and ensured everything was perfect for our arrival. He also arranged our return transfers which worked very well and was stress free. Dinis the local manager met us on our arrival and showed us around and answered any questions we had, which were few as we had lots of info from Chris. The pool is amazing and the kids loved it and the games room which is a great facility was brilliant to use. We will be back! Thanks Chris - regards the Cormacks

The owner Chris was exceptional from initial booking to resolving questions during our stay. The villa is perfect for a large group..or families. Walking distance to Marina...albeit a decent hill back up but would suggest a cab for return journey. We enjoyed an early eve stroll to the beach for cocktails before coming back to villa where we made good use of the basement games room as was still chilly in evenings. Families can be competetive! Great fun had by our children in their late 20s. The pool is lovely and big with ample sunbeds. Well kept gardens too. Chris recommened restaurant Mar...and I would too for food and view. We went to Monte De Casteleja organic wine tasting afternoon which was superb value for money. 10 mins from villa in a taxi. Lagos has unspoilt beauty in its beaches..a good Marina...and offers everything for a holiday in the sun. Chris is easy to communicate with and offers a faultless service. Enjoy Casa Maurice and surrounding areas...we did!

Fam to Lagos!

We had the entire family, 11 people total, and the house was plenty large enough. Beautiful home! Host was responsive and helpful! Lagos is a wonderful and beautiful town! Nearby beaches and overlooks are fabulous!

Super stay in Lagos

Brilliant setting for a family holiday in Lagos catering for everything we needed to provide for 2 babies and a 4 year old in addition to a large family. Really well thought out and arranged from check-in through to amenities. Would highly recommend for large groups or families of different ages! Pool, patio and lounge areas made the trip really sociable. The 2 barbeques were amazing for cooking up a feast in the evenings we decided to stay at the villa. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Brilliant family stay

Fantastic stay at Casa Sarah

Our stay was amazing and Christopher is the perfect host. It was just a 10 min walk to the beach and 20 min walk to the harbor. The pool was heated at our arrival and everything else was very well prepared. We’d love to come again!

Stor härlig villa med rejäl pool

Vi var en storfamilj på elva personer, den äldsta 77 och den yngsta 9, som vistades en vecka i detta vackra och rymliga hus. Gott om plats för alla både i sovrummen och gemensamma utrymmen. Stort välutrustat kök. Poolen var stor, ren och med lagom varmt vatten. Terrassen rejäl med sköna möbler och med en av oss flitigt utnyttjad grill. Spelrummet mycket uppskattat och använt främst av de yngre. Badstranden vacker och mycket ren. Lagos stad och marinan var en trevlig bekantskap med många trevliga restauranger och affärer.

Family Holiday June19

Ages 1.5 to 57....family holiday in Casa Maurice. Lovely large pool...games room a real bonus as the evenings were still very chilly. Easy walk to beach...plenty of sunbeds and room for 11 of us. The villa over all is very spacious but would say the beds/mattresses/bedding need updating.

Excellent villa

Chris was excellent throughout the booking process and during our stay. The villa is an excellent location 15 minute walk to beach. 15 minute walk to marina and another 5 minutes into the town. The villa has a large pool with an excellent games room and 5 large bedrooms. There were 9 adults in our group and at no point did the villa feel small and crowded. Lagos is a lovely town with excellent restaurants and bars, plenty of taxis and large supermarkets.

Best Holiday Ever

On arrival Villa was ready, clean and gardens were well looked after. Pool was very clean (been to villas before where pools were quite dirty) Dinnis was there to meet us, and explained everthing We had to call him during the week for a bedroom light that needed a new bulb. He was there within the hour. Very safe place to stay with children and the pool alarm is a bonus. Plenty of space, so that you do not feel like you are all living in one room. Taxi were easy to book to go into Marina or Old Town. Plenty of places to eat and plenty of shopping. We booked a boat trip through Chris, and it was amazing. Chris made sure that everthing was made perfect and it was very nice to meet him. Only down side was that we should have booked for longer as no one was ready to come home. Would definitely recommend this villa and will go back in the future.

Stunning villa - highly recommended

This was our first experience of booking a villa and I am delighted with how it went. I was initially anxious about the logistics of the process but the owner Chris was so friendly and provided extremely helpful information. He has clearly given a lot of thought to the assistance and comfort of the guest that stay at Casa Maurice and this extends to your time in the villa itself too. We chose to rent a car and drive to the villa which turned out to be extremely easy. The drive from Faro is only about an hour and a straight forward drive at that. Upon arrival we were able to follow Chris clear instructions to get into the property. After a long day travelling we were not disappointed with what we found once we were inside. The accomodation was spacious, clean and well furnished. It was well prepared for our arrival with towels and bedding set out as we had requested. My financee and I stayed at the property for 9 wonderful days and made the most of the Algarve Christmas sun in the lovely pool. The town is a short drive away (you could walk it but we were being lazy!) with a large, reasonably well stocked supermarket only 5 mins away. We weren't overally impressed by the town but it was pleasant enough and we were only there to relax so it didn't much matter. The marina has some nice cafes. We didn't eat out at all but the kitchen had everything we needed to cater for ourselves (including cooking Xmas lunch!) The property's games room added some great extra fun. The only negatives were that there is no wi-fi (although there is at the marina so this is isn't much of a negative), the TV is quite small considering how far it is from the sofas and finally that we had to leave! We had a wonderful holiday and if you have any hesitations about booking this villa... don't!

Spacious Villa, well maintained and great location

We were a large extended family group (12) and the Villa was more than spacious and well furnished with quality furnishings. The villa is very well maintained and was very clean. The kitchen is well equipped with every amenity that you could wish for. The pool and gardens are very well maintained and our grandchildren practically lived in the pool! There is a well equipped games room which younger members of the group enjoyed. Prior to our visit Chris the owner's communication was excellent regarding instructions for our arrival and also suggestions for car hire etc. (Luz car hire was excellent). We used the BBQ on several occasions as the weather was fabulous. The Villa is within walking distance of the beach, the Marina (which is lovely) and the centre of Lagos (the old part is lovely to wander around). We also hired a car and visited some lovely places within easy driving distance. (Luz, Monchique, Sagres). We also eat at some lovely restaurants in Lagos (you are spoilt for choice). There are lot of supermarkets in and around Lagos to choose from and a local shop for smaller items (5 minute walk).

Legendary Holiday!!

We stayed at Casa Maurice in August 2011 and we found the whole experience to be excellent right the booking through to the transfers’ home. We went as a group of 8 Adults ranging from mid to late 20’s and couldn’t fault our time there except we wish we had booked for 2 weeks. The Villa was beautiful and the facilities were just fantastic with more than enough space for our group. We ate in most nights making use of the BBQ but we also found loads of restaurants in town. The local shop is about 10-15 mins walk and only another 10 mins on to the supermarket or port. The beach is in easy reach and the girls made a few afternoon trips down there whilst the boys took advantage of the large pool and games room, though being a rather competitive bunch we would suggest a Water Volley Ball net would add further value to the pool but we managed to fashion one using some rope and tables which led to hours of endless fun with the whole group playing in the pool at once and quite comfortably. We found the town of Lagos to be fantastic with loads of restaurants, bars, clubs and Duna Beach added a fantastic end to the evening. There is so much to do in the area and for all ages though the Deep Sea fishing is highly recommended we did our trip with Seafaris and as a group of 4 came back with about 30 good sized fish which we then cooked on the BBQ which we all rather enjoyed. All in all the whole holiday was fantastic and we couldn’t fault anything, Chris and his local team were fantastic and very helpful. We would defiantly go back and we highly recommend Casa Maurice it would suit all ages from families with small kids, young and senior adults! Put simply it was a Legendary Holiday and to Chris and his team we say thank you for making it so!

Casa Maurice

We just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the holiday at Casa Maurice in Lagos. We were a big family group of ages ranging from teenager to pensioner and found everything we required at the villa There is a bit of a walk from the villa to the town but easily manageable, we tended to all walk down and a few of us would walk back, those of us who didn't fancy it would grab a taxi for €5. There is a small short cut which cuts out a little bit; as the road bends about 100 yards from the villa there's a little path over a bit of scrub land which leads to nearest bar called Bar Silva. On the subject of Bar Silva we didn't spend as much time there as we'd have liked to. We went in for something to eat at lunchtime on the day of arrival and the food was excellent and well priced (as was the beer) and the people in there were very friendly. We flew in on the day of the David Haye v Wladimir Klitschko fight and a few of us wanted to watch it, although it was on pay per view they arranged for it to be shown that night which made a few of us very happy; until the result at least. Casa Maurice is spacious and clean and everything is well maintained. The games room was well equiped and things like bats and balls were all usable and in good supply. Kitchen equipment was plentiful and again in good order, we also bbq'd a couple of times which was good. One final thing is regarding the owner; a huge thank you to him for being so helpful, not only in his extensive preparation which is thorough, but if we did have any questions they were responded to almost immediately. He also arranged our car hire through a company called Luzcar which was superb, everything was included in the price we paid, no extras for additional premium waivers or wheel issues, or even additional drivers; they even dropped it off at the villa and picked it up when it was due back. As we required a little more accomodation we did also rent one of the owners other local apartments. It was similarly well presented, we just didn't really spend any time there, it was used as an overspill for sleeping in. We will definately be returning to Casa Maurice, and the holidays that we go elsewhere will have a lot to match up to.

Casa Maurice

This is a beautiful villa in remarkably quiet location (we rarely saw anyone in the cul-de-sac during our stay in October). The facilities were as described and the villa was clean, well maintained, spacious and comfortable. Our only issue with facilities was that given the 10 person capacity - the cooking utensils (saucepans, mixing bowls etc) were on the limited in number and on the small side when trying to prepare a meal for, in our case, 7 hungry mouths. That said, we managed and enjoyed some excellent food (and wine). The local supermarkets are a 5-10 min car ride away and are fairly well stocked (particularly with fish). As to location - you can walk through the estate to the beautiful Meia Praia beach in 10 minutes and then stroll for as long as you like. The walk to the marina, however, is a more comfortable 15 - 20 minute walk and the old town (where the best selection of restaurants are) is more like 20 - 25 minutes. A small part of the initial walk to the marina and town is along an poorly lit lane with no footpath, so care is needed, particularly with young children in the darker months. Despite these minor quibbles with timings, our entire group (including 3 teenagers) walked into town most evenings. It is a pleasant walk down to the marina and if not eating there - along the river promenade and up into the old town. We always felt safe and the old town of Lagos has a pleasant, friendly atmosphere, typical of the best of the Algarve. Chris, the owner, is a natural when it comes to customer service and it comes as no surprise to learn of his background in the hotel service industry. From our initial enquiry, the service and response were exceptionally prompt, friendly and informative. He clearly had a personal knowledge of the villa and the area. Having met him during our stay, our early telephone impressions were confirmed. The information provided was exceptionally extensive and helpful. The games room is very equipped and was ideal for our two teenage boys as their twin bedroom adjoined this excellent basement area. All members of our party thoroughly enjoyed their stay at Casa Maurice and we thank Chris for his excellent service and for his assistance before and during our stay. We unhesitatingly recommend Casa Maurice to a wide range of groups.
