This newly renovated home has it all, huge deck overlooking the Gulf, Both bedrooms are waterfront with spectacular views. Interior/Exterior is 100% new. Each Bedroom has a private bath, Comfy king beds and twin bunks, use them for the kids or for napping, storage ect..,inviting beachy furniture and art throughout. New kitchen with all new accouterments. Flat screen Tv's in all rooms. Living room Stereo system. Eco Friendly Turtle windows. Outdoor Shower, fish cleaning table, covered parking, Boardwalk, Pet Friendly,dog/child gate on deck, all tile floors, washer/dryer, high speed Wifi. WOW Stop me now.

About Julie

It was love at first site. We first visited the Forgotten Coast in 2009. We scurried to secure our place in Paradise. We found our first property, Coastal Exchange, in 2011, then Going Coastal in 2012, finally, the icing on the cake, The Lone Starfish!!! We absolutely love this island and will make it our permanent home in the near future. Long walks on the beach with your dog, laying on the beach till you are golden brown, Oysters at Eddie Teaches, world class fishing, star gazing, beach side bon fires. Does it get any better? If it does, we don't know where!

Why Julie chose St. George Island

This home is a classic Florida beach house, totally renovated to modern standards. Most folks would have demolished this cottage and built a 4000 square foot home in it's place. That would have made the home out of reach to most of us. We love all the attributes of an' Old Florida' beach house without the old smelly funk. We preserved the best and updated the rest. The Views are unparalleled to any million dollar home!

Everything in this home is new. You will not find a home more comfortable and stylish , no matter how much you spend. You work hard for your vacation. You deserve style and comfort. Oh and really comfy beds!!!

Fantastic house for Two Couples!

My wife and I plus our two dogs met up with friends for a week at The Lone Starfish. The house was perfect. Two big masters, both with equally awesome views. The kitchen was great and well equipped, with plenty of space in the living and dining rooms. The place was immaculately clean when we arrived and the house had everything we needed for a great week on SGI. We fished the bay a few days and caught trout and redfish on every outing.

Overall, it was a great week and we will be back again.

Excellent property!! As advertised!! loved it!!

we had a great time at the lone starfish!! the house was in amazing shape!! the best part was the outdoor shower!! the main reason we chose this rental was because it is dog friendly. we most likely will be coming back. the owners communicated well and Collins realty was fantastic as well.

Just as a heads up, the top bunks only allow someone who weighs 150 lbs or less. so i would make sure you dont have any adults who might need to sleep in a bunk because i dont think it would support one. we had one adult over that weight on the lower bunk and it worked out fine.

Our best Florida vacation ever

We have vacationed on the Florida panhandle for 10+ years. This was by far our best vacation ever. I am not one that normally fills out reviews like this as I have pretty high standards on what makes my vacation great.

We searched for a vacation spot that was beautiful but affordable. The Lone Starfish met all our needs. We looked at the pictures, read the reviews and decided to book. Many vacation places that we have booked often look pretty different than the pictures that are posted as time passes, renovations are made, furniture changed out etc. or the pictures are strategically staged to make things look bigger than they are. The Lone Starfish looks EXACTLY like the pictures show it to be. The furniture and accommodations all look exactly like the pictures. We had a family of 4 and 2 dogs and the space was more than adequate.

We started the booking process. Julie quickly responded to our inquiry within a few hours. We quickly negotiated for our dogs to come and moved on to booking with CRV. The folks at CRV are great. They were extremely polite and courteous and answered the many questions that we had as first time vacationers to SGI.

On arrival, everything was ready, in working order and just as advertised. The beds are nice and solid, very comfortable after a day at the beach. The towels are full size towels (other rentals have the smaller towels). Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking for the week. Washer and dryer worked well. Refrigerator/Freezer kept everything cold. Overall, everything that we needed was there and the things that were there all worked without problems. The beaches are beautiful and spotless, water was clear.

On the first night, we got an email from Tim and Julie checking in to ensure that we had arrived safely and that there were no problems with their rental. In all the years that I have stayed in a rental, I have never received an email from the owners checking in on how things were. I mentioned something about wanting to catch fish. Tim quickly pointed out his favorite spots, checked with me during the week on fishing and sent me some fishing reports from guests staying at their other rentals.

I highly recommend The Lone Starfish and Tim/Julie. They are the most professional owners I have met. We are hooked on SGI and will be vacationing there and with Tim/Julie for many years to come.

A million dollar view

My family & I stayed at the Lone Starfish for our annual vacation on SGI. The house was perfect for us. They had plenty of room for all of us, the kitchen was well stocked with all we needed to prepare our own meals, and for the first time ever renting a house on the island there were enough bath towels for everyone without me washing a load of clothes every day. The view was spectacular. We could see dolphins from the deck almost every morning. The house was just perfect & will definitely try to stay there again if it isn't booked up. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Visiting St George Island / Apalachicola is like turning the clock back 50 years. There are no Hi-Rise Condos, shopping malls, or overcrowd beaches. There are great beach houses of all sizes, uncrowded beaches, fantastic surf and bay fishing, fantastic restaurants serving awesome local oysters and seafood - and you can bring your dog to the beach.
