This newly renovated home has it all, huge deck overlooking the Gulf, Both bedrooms are waterfront with spectacular views. Interior/Exterior is 100% new. Each Bedroom has a private bath, Comfy king beds and a twin size day bed, use them for the kids or for napping, storage ect..,inviting beachy furniture and art throughout. New kitchen with all new accouterments. Flat screen Tv's in all rooms. Eco Friendly Turtle windows. Outdoor Shower, fish cleaning table. Boardwalk, Pet Friendly,dog/child gate on deck, all tile floors, washer/dryer, high speed Wifi.

Pets - We accept two well behaved dogs

7 night minimum rental required year round.

The house was perfect for the 4 of us! The house was supplied with pretty much everything we needed. The walk to the beach was hassle free. Maybe a minute walk. The only complaint is the bed was not very comfortable but other than that we would book again for sure.

Perfect Beach Location

We had the most wonderful stay at the Lone Starfish! Its location was perfect for our beach loving needs. The house had everything we needed, including the most comfortable beds. There were issues with the wifi, but once the rental agent was notified, the problem was corrected. We just loved our stay on St. George Island and will definitely return!

Wonderful house and vacation!

First time to St. George. We go to the beach often near PC and Destin, but this was one of our favorite trips. We loved the house and we will go back next summer! Great house with amazing view. So peaceful and beautiful. Loved watching the dolphins and sitting on the huge porch. The house had everything we needed. Very clean. No fighting for space on the beach. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

2nd sgi trip, even better than first due to lone star fish

Just as shown on line, perfect for our family. Great kitchen and living space. Bedrooms on either side of house Gave privacy. Under house area good for respite from sun and rinsing off from beach. Wonderful view from floor to ceiling windows. Close to town center for convenience. Gate on deck helpful for grand dogs. If our group stays same size will def stay again. Dining table large enough for games and fellowship.

Beautiful Home....world class weather

We were fortunate enough to go the week before the storm...weather was beautiful....unfortunately the first couple of days were without any wifi or cable, which was beyond the owners control....Fickling wasn't a whole lot of help....but this is a gorgeous home, and we would return...being out of "touch" with the world actually was ok for a while....we could concentrate on reading a book, sitting on the beach, and enjoying our vacation.

McLellan's Review of the Lone Starfish

Overall the property was nice. Very clean, and the house itself was well laid out. Everything worked very well, except for a few items that could be addressed. The fridge seemed old and something temporary that was just put into the hole. Door had to be pushed closed hard in order to seal. Drapery rod in left bedroom came out of the wall. (Obviously not installed properly.) One of the chairs at the table was broken. Don't get me wrong, we loved the house and our stay. And would stay here again for sure. (I'm just a overly critical type one might say.) Thanks for allowing us to stay and hope all is well with the owners and property management folks. Brian

Great Beach Getaway

I can summarize our stay in five words: “We didn’t want to leave”. Communication through Fickling prior to our arrival was the best I’ve experienced to date. Easy check-in process and off to the property we went. Upon arrival, the place was spotless. It was just the two of us and our dog, so we only used one bedroom. The secured deck space was awesome. Our dog just loved laying out on the deck enjoying the sights and sounds. We did too. The unit was stocked with everything we needed. We always bring extra pots, pans, etc. because we never know exactly how a unit will be outfitted with small items, but we didn’t need to here. All-in-all, the unit was perfect. I usually have problems with beds and mattresses, but here I had seven straight nights of comfort and the best sleep I’ve had in years. Beach access was easy. The beaches here are the best and cleanest. We were lucky enough to be able to see the sun rise and set each day from the beach and the deck. Good shell hunting and enjoyed watching the dolphins from the deck. St. George Island is a very relaxed and laid back community. We go for this reason because we don’t like the high tourist areas and traffic. As far as this unit, you can’t beat it for the price. I’ll go back in a heartbeat and can only hope this property is available when we decide when that will be. I highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a trip to the island.

We love the location of this house. We had a great vacation, except for the storm which could not be planned for. The house has everything you need. The only disappointing thing is the low flow shower heads. Although I understand why the owners install them, I still don't like them.

Perfect Family Vacation

My family and I loved The Lone Starfish! The home was clean and we had everything we needed. The deck overlooking the beach and ocean is wonderful and we had several dinners on the picnic table. The view from the living room was so nice - all windows so you could sit on the couch and enjoy a view of the gulf. This was our first time visiting SGI, and we loved the island and all the locals - including several local dogs my daughter made friends with that we had to visit several times lol. We would absolutely stay here again.

Sand and surf from ever room!

We loved living over the sand surrounded by wild flowers steps from the surf. The deck was fab, but we felt almost as if we were outdoors even when in this adorable home. It was terrific to go to bed with all of the windows open and be lulled to sleep by the rhythm of the waves. The outdoor shower under the house was enclosed, piping hot and a happy surprise! The property manager and owner were very responsive when the dishwasher gave out and even replaced it that very same day. Bring your beach towels and chairs and get ready to relax in this cozy house perfect for two families.

We have spent a fantastic time on the Saint George Island. The location of the house is really awesome! Wonderful property and such a relaxing vacation

We had a wonderful time on our vacation. It was so relaxing! This property was exactly as described. It was very clean and comfortable, had a well stocked kitchen and was steps from the beach with breath-taking views from inside the house or from the deck. We were very appreciative of the outside shower downstairs and another hose on the deck upstairs to be able to rinse off the sand before going inside. I had numerous communications with the owner Tim and he was always very kind and quick to respond. The check-in and check-out process with the management company was super easy. I would definitely love to stay here again.

Best Spring Break!

The Lone Starfish is a beautiful vacation home! It was clean and uncluttered. We loved that it had conveniences such as a washer/dryer, coffee maker, electric can opener..., but was not not cluttered with leftover food items in the fridge and pantries or personal items throughout the house. Only tasteful decor. The beds were comfortable and falling asleep to the sound of waves and waking to a water view was wonderful. An added bonus was pet friendliness, so our dog had a blast! Thank you again for our best spring break accommodations ever!

It was love at first site. We first visited the Forgotten Coast in 2009. We scurried to secure our place in Paradise. We found our first property, Coastal Exchange, in 2011, then Going Coastal in 2012, finally, the icing on the cake, The Lone Starfish!!! We absolutely love this island and will make it our permanent home in the near future. Long walks on the beach with your dog, laying on the beach till you are golden brown, Oysters at Eddie Teaches, world class fishing, star gazing, beach side bon fires. Does it get any better? If it does, we don't know where!

Why they chose this property

This home is a classic Florida beach house, totally renovated to modern standards. Most folks would have demolished this cottage and built a 4000 square foot home in it's place. That would have made the home out of reach to most of us. We love all the attributes of an' Old Florida' beach house without the old smelly funk. We preserved the best and updated the rest. The Views are unparalleled to any million dollar home!

What makes this property unique

Everything in this home is like new. You will not find a home more comfortable and stylish , no matter how much you spend. You work hard for your vacation. You deserve style and comfort. Oh and really comfy beds!!!
