The front of the property overlooks the city walls and is perfectly placed in a central location only 4 minutes walk from York Minster and the historic city centre. The apartment is just around the corner from 14th century Monk Bar, the tallest and most elaborate of the 4 Bars of the city walls. The Grade 2 listed building was formerly the nurses quarters to the old city hospital and the first floor apartment is newly furnished and new to the holiday rental market. The apartment is to the rear of the property and shares a communal entrance hall and gardens. The bedroom has a king-sized bed fitted with crisp cotton sheets and the good sized wardrobe and bedside drawers should provide ample space. The lounge contains a comfortable sofa and large screen TV plus an attractive electric stove providing heat &/or a nice cosy glow to the room. There is also a small extending dining table and 2 chairs for the traveller who prefers a quiet, cosy meal away from the crowds after a busy days sightseeing. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and hob plus microwave, washer/dryer and fridge. The bathroom has a newly fitted over-the-bath shower and glass screen. Although a car wouldn't be needed due to the central location there is an allocated parking space suitable for a regular sized car. There are countless bars and restaurants in the popular Goodramgate area only 2 minutes walk away and Sainsburys supermarket is conveniently located to the rear of the property.

Very cozy and homey
Terrific location near the wall and town centre. Close to all the big attractions in York and an easy walk to the train station. Very quiet, cozy and comfortable apartment, spotlessly clean. We felt completely at home here and would definitely come back. Thank you Bev for a wonderful stay in York.
A smart flat very conveniently situated for the city.
We enjoyed our stay and were made very welcome by Bev. Flat has all you may need for a short break and so close to the city it is not necessary to use the car. Sainsbury’s nearby is a useful bonus for emergency supplies!
