Great place to stay

and discover the Lago Trasimeno area. Gianluca is a wonderful host, ever helpful and very fast in his communication. He recommended hiking trails (very valuable as there are so many private roads and properties), wineries and even sold us some of his self-made olive oil. Hope to meet again.

Beautiful Times in Umbria & Tuscany

What a lovely place with the amazing Gianluca as host. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer person to help us settle in to our Italian trip. The property is stunning and very ancient and authentic. It’s a great place that resonates with the spirit of the medieval times. Lots of original features balanced with modern conveniences and a real presence from the past. A great base to travel the region and experience all that the country side has to offer. ❤️

Perfetto!!! Terrific apartment, great location, wonderful Host

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this castle apartment as we traveled through Tuscany and Umbria – a great location between our destinations of Siena and Assisi. Being in a 15th century castle certainly attracted us to this property. . . and the gates and ancient cooking area in the basement evoked our historical imagination. But don’t let the term fool you. The apartment has experienced an extensive, very tasteful modernization. The kitchen is beautiful, well equipped with dishware/cookware along with a stove, oven, coffee maker, and dishwasher. The bedroom is very nicely appointed. The bathroom has everything you need to include a Jacuzzi tub and the nearby closet even has a washing machine. We took the bicycles (with saddle bags) for a ride and ate dinner at Giramondo Ristorante with a view of gorgeous Lake Trasimeno at sunset. There is plenty do all around the area – we just wish we had more days to travel around to see the castles, towns, and other historical areas. Finally, we were very pleased with the host, Gianluca. He kept in communication in advance of our stay and the day of our afternoon arrival. He met us at the apartment and showed us the rooms and how everything works and us set in advance with fresh fruit, treats, and coffee/tea for our breakfast the next morning. He also helped make sure we were set for our bicycle ride and gave us tips on where to ride and drive in the area. Gianluca clearly takes pride in this well-kept apartment and we hope to return again someday.

Bezaubernd

Gianluca nennt die Ferienwohnung, die er in einem mittelalterlichen Wohnturm vermietet, „Verzauberter Turm“. Und wir sind dem Zauber voll erlegen. Vor dem Turm auf der anderen Straßenseite (kaum befahren) durften wir das kleine Gartengrundstück nutzen, von dessen Terrasse aus man einen wunderbaren Blick auf den Trasimenischen See und die Isola Polvese hat. Die Wohnung hat Gianluca mit viel Eigenleistung sehr liebevoll im Mittelalter-Stil ausgestaltet, dabei mit allem modernen Komfort (auch Backofen, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine). Gianluca hat uns persönlich empfangen, uns sehr individuelle Tipps für den Aufenthalt gegeben, war jederzeit ansprechbar und hat immer sehr schnell geantwortet. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wonderful holiday in Bella Umbria

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub. Die Ferienwohnung ist mit so viel Liebe zum Detail arrangiert, vielen Dank Gianluca, dass wir hier wohnen durften. An almost medieval adventure

The most unique apartment we have ever rented on our travels. The owners took a great amount of care to make this part of a castle into a present day apartment without compromising the “medieval spirit”. And the host was extremely helpful when we needed some help during a medical emergency. Our only complaint would be about the internet - very low speed and we lost it a couple of times.

Die Wohnung ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet und bietet einen idealen Ausgangsort für Ausflüge in Umbrien. Sowohl der kostenlose Eintritt im nahe gelegenen Schwimmbad als auch die Bademöglichkeiten am See erlauben entspannte Tage zwischen den Besichtigungen. Es war etwas zu heiss zum Wandern - also kommen wir nochmals im Frühjahr oder Herbst wieder. Die Wohnung: absolut empfehlenswert! Highlight: Gianluca brachte uns eine Kiste mit Gemüse aus seinem Garten vorbei, das köstlich geschmeckt hat. Dolce vita!

Sehr schöne Wohnung in alter Burg

Sehr schöne Wohnung, unglaublich liebevoll und schön ausgestattet. Es passt alles perfekt zusammen und ist wunderschön dekoriert. Es gibt eine Spülmaschine und einen Backofen, Fliegengitter vor allen Fenstern. Auch den Garten mit herrlichem Blick auf den Trasimeno See haben wir sehr genossen, es war morgens und abends schön schattig durch die Bäume, was wir bei der Hitze sehr geschätzt haben. Und es gibt 2 gut gepflegte Fahrräder und sogar einen Kindersitz dazu. Auch über die Nutzung des Pools in Zocco Beach waren wir sehr dankbar, da es sehr heiß war. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können es sehr empfehlen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter Gianluca war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert.

Es gibt leider nur 5 Sterne!!!

Unser Urlaub begann sehr chaotisch, aber Gianluca hat uns wunderbar begleitet! Am 2ten Tag wurde meine Frau krank und Gianluca hat uns wunderbar geholfen! Aber der Knüller ist die Ferienwohnung! Es hat alles gestimmt, die Lage ist fantastisch - es war trotz aller Widrigkeiten ein wundervoller Aufenthalt in la Rocca! Und nochmals vielen Dank für die Tips und Hilfe an Gianluca! Wir werden es in unserer Bekanntschaft weiterempfehlen!

Esperienza ottima a 360 gradi

L'esperienza alla Rocca incantata è stata ottima. Cercavamo un posto per spezzare il nostro viaggio da Milano alla Puglia e ci siamo ritrovati in una casa bellissima dalla quale non avremmo voluto andarcene così presto. L'esperienza è stata positiva fin dalla prenotazione, quando Gianluca mi ha prontamente contattato per spiegarmi le sue difficoltà rispetto all'affitto per una sola notte e a voler precisare che avrebbe potuto avere ritardi nel check in avendo la struttura prenotata sia prima che dopo il nostro arrivo. Ci ha permesso così di organizzare in anticipo la nostra giornata trascorrendo alcune ore alla piscina dello Zocco Beach sulla riiva del Trasimeno che lui stesso ci ha offerto. La casa è curata nel minimo dettaglio e Gianluca non si è risparmiato in attenzioni e cortesia, dandoci consigli su cosa visitare e dove cenare, nonostante il nostro breve soggiorno. Letti comodissimi, bagno spazioso, pulizia eccellente. Le bambine esaltate per l'ambientazoone e la sensazione di stare un un posto magico. Grazie Gianluca e complimenti, non mancheremo di parlare della Rocca incantata a tanti amici.

Tolle Location, super Vermieter

Wir waren ein Woche am trasimenischen See, den wir sehr empfehlen können, tolle Orte, klasse Restaurants in super Lage zum See, oder in den kleinen Städtchen, direkt am See. Ganz besonders toll war aber die Wohnung und der Vermieter, der sehr bemüht und zuvorkommend war, uns viele tolle Empfehlungen gegeben hat, sich viel Zeit für alles genommen hat. Die "Rocca Incantata" ist eine mittelalterliche Burg, bestens renoviert, in der Wohnung hat es an nichts gefehlt, es waren alle Geräte in Küche plus Waschmaschine vorhanden. Wir können diese Wohnung mit dem kleinen Garten, mit Blick auf See nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Assolutamente consigliato!!

Il castello gode di una bellissima vista sul lago, è molto ben tenuto e la pulizia è impeccabile. Di fronte si trova un grande parcheggio in cui è possibile lasciare la macchina. Gianluca è stato molto disponibile sia per quanto riguarda check-in e check-out, sia per i consigli che ci ha dato (fidatevi assolutamente!). Assolutamente consigliato!!

Perfect home away from home to enjoy Perugia and the surrounding area

Gianluca was a perfect host. Communication was great, he met us at the property to show us everything we needed to know for our stay. He responded immediately every time I reached out to him. The apartment is spotless and very comfortable for my husband, 3 kids (my youngest is 16) and me. Kitchen had all the utensils needed to prepare a meal when we didn’t go out for dinner, market & pharmacy are close by. View from outside apartment is spectacular. All of Gianluca’s recommendations were fantastic. I imagine because of its location to the lake, it would be especially wonderful in the summer, but it was a great place to be in December. If I was ever visiting this part of Italy again, this is where we’d stay. Highly recommend this very special place that is extremely well priced!

Great stay in late November

Very clean, quiet, and comfortable stay. We had a minor problem with the hot water in the bathroom and Gianluca was very responsive to our concerns. This did not affect our stay and I mention it because I was impressed with Gianluca's response and attention. This is a beautifully restored property which is charming and also includes modern comforts. We had a very relaxing stay and I would return here. In addition to satellite TV, there was a small but varied selection of books, including children's books available downstairs.

Week end da ripetere

Sono stato alla rocca incantata solo nel fine settimana,l'idea era di pernottare vicino Perugia per la fiera del cioccolato poi colpiti dalla bellezza del posto , dalla cortesia del proprietario,dalla pulizia dell'alloggio e chi più ne ha più ne metta,siamo rimasti lá quasi tutto il tempo. Gorgeous location to explore Umbria

The property is just as pictured and well stocked (even some basic groceries which was great since I arrived on a Sunday evening and couldn't find an open market). Gianluca met me and walked me through everything as well as giving me some recommendations of things to check out in the area. Would definitely stay again if I return to the area.
