"Like a Dream"
My girlfriend has a passion for wine and wineries so I wanted to make our first trip to Oregon wine country unforgettable. Mission accomplished at J Wrigley Vineyards! "Over the top romantic" is how she likes to describe it.
She didn't know we were staying here when we walked in for a tasting. When the secret was revealed a few minutes later she started to cry. She says she was swept away with so much emotion because it felt like a dream.
For her it was a fairy tale setting that started with the winding dirt road through the beautiful trees. At the top of the hill, beautiful views and a rustic, charming building greeted us. My girlfriend loved everything inside from the refurbished barn wood, to the old wooden ladder used for hanging lights over a rustic table, to the adorable bedroom.
At night we sat outside under a stunning dark sky with a blanket of beautiful stars. It was so silent and calming as we connected with our souls and each other. In the morning we walked the rows of vines in appreciation of the hard work and dedication shown by John the owner and his faithful companion Jasper the border collie. We loved talking to John about his life and his love for this place. Carrie and everyone here was wonderful and took the time to make us feel at home. And the wine was delicious! We will definitely be back on our next trip. It can't come soon enough!
You two were such a pleasure to have here, I am so glad you had a wonderful time and we can't wait to see you again!

As a VRBO, the tasting room is unique, peaceful, and just gorgeous. It's a beautiful post and beam modern barn made from reclaimed materials situated on a hill overlooking vineyards, fields, and the cascades. The view is stunning. The winery staff are without fail friendly and helpful -- just really wonderful people. From an impromptu tour of the vineyards (thanks Adrian!) to a friendly face at the end of each day, we really enjoyed meeting everyone. And the wines are really excellent as well - estate pinots with a little riesling, pinot gris, and chardonnay - all from just outside your back door. It is a working tasting room, but in the mornings and evenings its like having a giant loft in midst of the vines. It's on the western edge of wine country - convenient to the coast, dozens of wineries, and town- but still isolated, quiet, and peaceful. Highly recommended.
Beautiful, serene getaway in wine country!
This was everything we could have hoped for! Amazing views and beautiful tasting room all to ourselves. Not to mention yummy wine!! Would absolutely recommend staying here. It was our first time to this wine region and the staff helped us get acquainted and recommended great restaurants and wineries to visit while we were here - including some complimentary tasting cards to wineries. Loved it!
Lovely place and host!
Had the best stay at this place during our honeymoon! The place is lovely and so beautiful and you have it all by yourself. The host, Jody, is so friendly and welcoming!
Make sure to come see us again!!
Amazing experience! You MUST stay here!
If I could give 10 stars I would. I can't even begin to say enough fabulous things about the JR Wrigley Vineyard and their room that's available to stay overnight. You get The.Whole.Tasting.Room (!!!) from 4pm-11am and It.Is.Awesome. We were there for the eclipse and it was the absolute perfect spot. They are situated on the western edge of the Willamette Valley with a sweeping view towards the east. The wine is fantastic and I even became a Club Member. Yes, I t's that good.
Even with the fabulousness of the tasting room as your home-away-from-home and the amazing view, the BEST part of our stay was getting to know the owners and some of their work family, friends and loved ones. They are truly among the friendliest, happiest people we've met on our travels. Amazing room, fantastic wine, fabulous people--what more could you ask for? We're hoping to stay again before too long.
Huge hugs to you both! Until next time.
What a great spot!
My husband and I spent two nights at the J Wrigley Vineyard and we can't say enough amazing things about it. The view from the patio was incredible. Complete peace! Just what we needed after a long day of wine tasting. We especially loved having run of the tasting room so we could spread out and relax. Melissa was amazing and super accommodating with our schedule and even came out early on our last morning to give us a tasting of their delicious wines. You should definitely stop at the grocery before heading to the vineyard for your stay...it's quite a drive back into town for any food, snacks or drinks...but that's a good thing too. Our only disappointment was not getting to meet John & Jody & their kids. There are so many different options of places to stay in Willamette Valley; this was by far one of the most unique and private of the ones we stayed at. We would defintiely recommend staying here.
Our property is located at about 750 ft elevation in the foothills of McMinnville. With stunning views and absolute quiet in the evenings, you’ll be able to see everything from amazing sunrise and sunset to all the stars you desire (on a clear night).
You’ll be able to enjoy your stay in our tasting room where you will be able to sit, relax and sip on amazing wines. Our winemaker is always happy to host a private wine tasting for you and we are happy to help you set up a wine tour.
The tasting room has a full kitchen and refrigerator for your use during your stay.
One note is that this is a working Tasting Room, so we will have customers in and out during the hours of 11 am - 4 pm (11 am - 5 pm on weekends during summer months). You will be able to secure your items in your bedroom during business hours.
