Great condo with hotel perks

We traveled in March 2017 as a family, 2 adults one teenage son, and we travel fairly often, in fact this was our third trip to St. Lucia, but our first to a condo and we had a great time. Pauline, the owner, was great responding to or emails promptly and answering all my questions. She met us when we arrived and showed us everything we needed.The condo itself is two bedrooms, one with two single beds the other a queen. Two bathrooms, one with a bathtub, although I'm not sure I would take a hot bath in a hot place. Full kitchen that opens to a dining and living room. The kitchen has everything you could need. There is washer and dryer..and even a transformer and extension cord that works for North American plugs....important for all those devices. A small porch with a table and two chairs overlooks a courtyard. There are even beach towel for you to use ...good not to have to pack them. There is a small grocery store that sells all the staples, including wine and beer nearby and there is also a nice cafe for breakfast and lunch ...they have good baguette in the evening to have with your wine and cheese. There is also a really good India restaurant, Masala Bay near that I would recommend. The best part of being in the condo was that we could use the pool and all the facilities of the Capella Hotel. Once there they treated us as guest. There were two pools with lots of loungers..never had a problem getting a lounger or bed...one of which is adult only. They provide the towels and there is no limit on how many you take. There is also full pool service and you can run a tab to your room until you leave. You can order from any of the restaurants and the staff was wonderful. The only thing Marigot is missing is a beach. The one there is small. So we took ourselves to other beaches. We hitched a ride on a dive boat to go to Anse Chastenet to go snorkelling and rented a tiki and chairs once there. Then we went with Paulines husband Cornelius, who owned a water taxi Smoth Operator, to Anse Cochon for snorkelling, where we rented some loungers and umbrella. Both beaches have nice restaurants and we even had beach service. Cornelius was great, stopping to tell us things about the island as we went. Both were great days out. All in all we enjoyed our trip to St. Lucia and would absolutely recommend apt 6a to our friends.

Great location on a beautiful island

We really enjoyed our stay in Marigot Bay Village. Pauline was very helpful during the whole process. The apartment had everything we needed and having access to the Capella Hotel pool was a definite plus. We really liked the location with the ferry across the bay to the various restaurants. We tried them all with the exception of the Indian restaurant. It was nice to have a variety of places to eat dinner without having to drive at night. We rented a car and the roads are harder to get around then we are used to so we would definitely recommend hiring Cornelius to take you to various beaches in his water taxi. Our favorite beaches for snorkling were Anse Couchon, Anse Chastanet and Sugar Beach. We also really enjoyed Jungle Biking and visiting Pigeon Island National Park. If we get a chance to return to St. Lucia we would stay at this apartment again.

A fun and unique experience

Our host Cornelius and Pauline were great. The rental was everything you see, but much more. Marigot Bay was a good location and the locals were all very friendly and helpful. We found it good to have a rental car, once you get use to the driving, but the taxis and buses were everywhere. We give a big thumbs up.

Great location & excellent facilities

My family of 4 (including two kids ages 11 & 12) recent returned from a nice stay at this apartment. It is conveniently located in the village of Marigot Bay with great restaurants and 4 star facilities at the Capella hotel. The small supermarket and bakery n the marina complex is also quite convenient for self-cooked meals. Pauline and her husband provided us with excellent service during our stay. Highly recommended!

Awesome Apartment

My husband and I stayed here four nights in October. The apartment was spacious, updated, well organized, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Marigot Bay was a perfect location for day trips to Anse Chastenet, Anse Cochon, and the Rodney Bay/Reduit Beach area. While we have traveled extensively in the Caribbean, we found the road conditions on St. Lucia challenging to say the least. At the end of the day it was convenient to return to our "home base" from which we could walk (or take the water taxi) to one of several dining options located right at the marina. The view from the balcony is of the picturesque courtyard, yes, but also with more than a glimpse of the bay. In the morning it was pleasant to watch the marina "wake up" and fun to observe the boats at all times of day. Pauline was gracious from my initial VRBO inquiry to our effortless check out. In addition, she was very knowledgeable about the island and could answer any questions we had. If you are trying to find the perfect location for your St. Lucia getaway .... look no further. This centrally located apartment has it all.

Perfect location + wonderful ammenities = great vacation!

Our family of 5 (3 boys 11 through 16) had the pleasure of staying here for a week at the end of July. It was our first visit to St.Lucia and we struggled with trying to find a location on the island that fit what we were looking for, we wanted somewhere central where we could access snorkeling, shopping, restaurants, etc. that was safe, comfortable and relaxing. We hit the jackpot with this rental, we rented a car and drove to a couple of the best snorkeling spots that we have ever experienced, we could easily access Rodney Bay and shopping there. There was many options for dining from reasonable (by St. Lucia standards) to high end fine dining. The access to the pool at the 5 star hotel right beside was a huge bonus. It was an amazing island and a great trip due in large part to Pauline and the warm, friendly help she provided for us! I would not hesitate to recommend this rental to anyone looking to visit St.Lucia.

Marigot Bay Marina is situated in the picturesque Marigot Bay, a haven for both mega-yachts and sailboats alike. A small beach is accessible by ferry ride, 1 minute duration, quite unique to Marigot. Restaurants a plenty to suit all tastes, hikes both local and further afield and lots of opportunity forwater activities, including scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking etc. Easy to travel either North or South by either land or water taxi.
