2 BR. 1.5 BA. Cabin was built in 2004. It is very basic, but clean. One large room downstairs. One large room upstairs. Can sleep 4 adults + 4 kids, or 2 adults + 6 kids. Make a campfire. Cook out on charcoal bbq. Super cool treehouse. Great place to do not much. Always seems to be few degrees cooler than Austin. Great launching spot for cyclists. Please note that there is very little noise separation between the upstairs and the downstairs - so we end up all going to bed at the same time. Very close to Dripping Springs (14 minutes) and to Johnson City (14 minutes).

About Billy Kilday
Austinite that likes to escape on the weekends to the Hill Country and go for the occasional bike ride.
Billy Kilday purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Billy Kilday chose Johnson City
Really it was the killer views. Great place to stare into space.
What makes this Cabin unique
Highest hill in Blanco County. Pedernales Falls hiking for those less lazy than me.
Beautiful hilltop spot next to Pedernales Falls State Park
This is a great spot for families to enjoy day trips into Pedernales Falls State Park (or Johnson City). The host, Billy, is so accommodating and helped us to make our stay better in the face of some heavy rains. It's quiet and great for star gazing, as well.
The house has plenty of kids' books, movies and toys; no need to bring your own.
Property was fun!
The property was a fun place to stay. Enjoyed the deck, treehouse and fire pit. Lots of room inside. We had a great time. Spent the day at Pedernales Falls State Park.
Peaceful, rustic, family friendly cabin with wonderful views
This property has that relaxed, old fashioned country home, family focused feel. We really enjoyed our time there and were surprised by how much time we spent outside..during August in Texas. There was always a breeze and the views were fantastic. We saw beautiful stars from the yard, wonderful sunrises from the upstairs bathroom and peaceful sunsets from the deck. The cabin is well stocked in terms of kitchen items, seating areas, games and books, towels, and..... great bathroom soaps. The cabin is decorated in such a way that we felt as if we were staying in a friend's home. And the tree house is fabulous! Close proximity to Perdenales Falls is another plus.. This was just the right place for our family as we were wanting a quiet getaway and a chance to charge up before the new school year begins.
Beautiful, relaxing country setting!
Pictures didn't do the place justice. It had all we needed and more! Best Texas sunsets! The kids loved the treehouse too!
Completely as advertised! Clean, rustic, relaxing. Everything we needed for a quiet, lovely weekend.
Everything you need
We spent 3 nights at the Hilltop with my wife, 2 boys(8 & 5) and my mother. We all loved the house, treehouse, property and unbeatable views. Beds are comfy and clean. Fully stocked kitchen. Lots of games and activities. 3 minutes from Pedernales State Park.
Quiet setting. A bit off the grid. Close to Pedernales Falls. Great place to get your lazy on. Treehouse. Campfire. BBQ. Go for a hike. Read a book. Bring your dog.
