Wonderful stay awesome host
The bunkhouse is a great stay- cozy clean house in a great location close to downtown. The host was really helpful and gracious when the details of our trip had to change.
We highly recommend this rental.
Wonderful home, great location, a perfect time
Eliza’s home is warm and charming. We have stayed here before and hope to again.
Charming and functional
The Bunkhouse is delightful in every way. Built in 1893 so historical, loaded with character. Yet, tastefully updated with all the conveniences modern guests crave, including strong water pressure, hot showers, fully stocked modern kitchen, 2 welcoming bathrooms, plenty of outlets and lighting, comfortable beds, cozy seating in the living room, strong wifi, and multiple outdoor decks. The location is perfect. Scenic and private, but a short walk to town. We rented a car and rarely used it. We enjoyed the Holter Museum of Art, walking among the mansions, the Historical Museum, the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts, the walking mall, the Capitol, Benny’s Cafe, Murray’s, and relaxing at the Bunkhouse after full days of walking. We had planned to hike but a combination of weather and altitude interfered. We are from Iowa and Southern California. The trails sound awesome and are on the list for our next visit. We plan to book the Bunkhouse again. The art work and little touches add flair and comfort. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, and basic kitchen products were all provided. The inside and outside are visual delights. Highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay. Great location
A Great Cozy Home.
Our stay at the bunkhouse was great! The house has everything you need and the outdoor space is excellent. Eliza went above and beyond her duties as homeowner to make sure our stay was great. She even mailed us a forgotten item that we left behind on accident! Completely Recommend!
Historic, comfortable, and cozy!
We had such a great time during the week we spent at this historic house. Having a place to stay for a whole week, where there was room for our adult children and fifteen-month-old grand-daughter, was such a nice aspect of this rental. When we come to Helena, we usually stay a long weekend in a hotel room, but this allowed for the guests that popped over for our son's birthday party as well as a comfortable place for us to stay where we felt at home, and where we could cook meals for ourselves instead of always dining out. Grandparents and aunts and uncles came from as far away as Billings to visit for a couple of hours during our stay, and having a relaxed setting for conversation was really nice. Our grand-daughter loved the rocks and the stairs and the grass.
The only downsides were the dusty construction project going on at the time, and the rather dismal state of the cookware. When the construction is finished, it will be awesome, and I'm sure that by replacing some of the cookware and adding some more coffee cups, the place will be perfect. I didn't want to leave. (G.
