Fairways ligger i St Mellion på den exklusiva Oakridge gården. Oakridge är en säker privat semestergarn angränsande fairways av den berömda St Mellion Golf & Country Club. Naturligt fri golf & fritid medlemskap ingår. Gästerna har en privat gångväg tillgång till grunderna för klubben (ca 15 minuters promenad till klubbhuset). Vi har två andra 2 sovrum egenskaper på samma plats, så om Fairways inte är tillgänglig på de begärda datumen, bara kontakta oss eller besök huvudsidan holidaycottagesincornwall. co. Oakridge - 40 tunnland himlen i Cornwall: upside down skandinavisk stil design på Oakridge tar maximal nytta av utsikten över den vackra Cornish landsbygden och den berömda St Mellion Club golfbanor. Vyerna är häpnadsväckande. Fairways särskilt ser direkt på den 12: e fairway av den världsberömda Nicklaus golfbana på St Mellion.

Alla Oakridge fastigheter gynnas av modernt och välutrustat kök med diskmaskin mikrovågsugn etc. Varje rum har ett eget badrum med badkar och en inbyggd dusch. Den förtjusande loungen har en vedeldad spis och oljeeldad centralvärme centralvärme innebär en lågsäsong paus blir varmt och skönt.

På sommaren bidrar grillar och soliga balkonger till "semester atmosfären". Hög kvalitet inredning och utrustningsnivåer runda allt snyggt!

St Mellion anläggningar: Oavsett om du spelar golf eller bara vill ha ett alternativ "inomhus" när du är på semester, då Oakridge är den perfekta platsen. Det finns också 2 restauranger och 3 barer. Gratis wifi finns på klubben.

Ta sig runt: Om du kan bare att lämna St Mellion hittar du att du kan få nästan var som helst snabbt. Det finns massor av stora lokala land pubar, stränderna är ca 20 minuter bort. Plymouth är nära för shopping och närmaste stormarknad (8 minuter, är en Waitrose.

Även Oakridge är mycket tyst (med sin egen 800 meter enhet hjälper), är det nära till huvudvägarna så Tvillingarna och besöka sevärdheter är en bris. Även Penzance är endast ca 70 minuter bort. Eden är 40 och den underbara Cotehele National Trust hus är praktiskt taget runt hörnet.

Relaxing

Lovely property which was perfect for 4 adults. Very quiet and relaxing with lovely views of the 12th fairway of the Niklaus course. Property has everything you need for the week. The free leisure and golf at St Mellion was a bonus. My only gripe was I personally did not find the double bed very comfy but I would have no hesitation in staying at the property again. A nice relaxing break.

My wife and two daughters had a great week here, amazing view from cottage. We made good use of the included hotel facilities (pool, gym, restaurant, golf) Many poi's within a 30 minute drive. Will definitely retirn

Extremely pleasant golf break

Ever so pleased with finding this gem. First of all the golf. Two great courses. The Nicklaus ranks genuinely as one of Euopes best (do be prepared to lose a few balls though, this is a tough tough course). The inclusive golf package is just such great value. The two of us played 6 rounds during our stay & I calculate that it would have cost us about £800 in green fees alone. On top of that the leisure club is extremly good too. Only went to the pool and spa bit, but very well fitted out. Fairways was a great home from home to come back to. It was quite chilly when we were there and we were glad it was so warm. Views were amazing and very comfortable. All in all a wonderful stay. Thank you homeaway.

Oak wood posting misleading

Oak wood lodge is 5 miles from St Mellion Resort amenities. Steep sets of stairs to access the lodge.

Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately they are somewhat misleading. Oakridge is situated alongside the club and as we make clear, it is a 4-5 minute drive to access the facilities. The precise distance by car, according to google maps, is 2.5 miles. Not sure how this could be “misleading”, but apologies if you felt mislead. There are a set of steps to access the property (pictured) and again the posting is stated as not suitable for the infirm. If you want lovely elevated views of the golf course, which Fairways has, then you have to somehow get to that elevation. We would recommend that all guests read the property details before booking.

perfect cornwall break

Enjoyable half term break with family. Even in feb, the st mellion courses were in great nick. Wife and daughter thought the leisure club was awesome too. Inside this is a very nice holiday cottae. Clean, warm with lovely views. Especially enjoyed lighting a fire and enjoying a glass of wine at night.

superb stay, just had such a great time. St Mellion is still as great as ever for its golf and the pool is wonderful too. The views from Fairways are just perfect and it is such a lovely place to stay. well equipped, warm, and with decent wifi .We will be back. Thank you.

In need of updating

The location was lovely and the heating was good, but the DVD player, CD player and vacuum cleaner did not work, neither shaving light in the bathrooms worked, the towels were very smelly once wet, there were no accessible plugs in the twin room, the saucepans were so scratched they were unusable, the toilet in the twin room took 5 mins to refill, one of the twin beds was very unstable and the duvets were very old and stained. I would not stay here again.

Having read this review in some detail, we can only assume that this person did not stay here and has simply made a mistake. We have investigated each criticism thoroughly and (apart from one faulty light bulb) none of it was true. However our main response is for the benefit of future guests, staying at one of our properties or indeed, elsewhere. If something is not right & can be made right, tell the owners / managers. Most have systems in place to rectify minor faults quickly. If any of the faults mentioned in this review had been valid, we could have fixed them within an hour or two. Yet this person (wherever they stayed) chose to just put up with it and then left a poor review. While this might satisfy their desire for some sort of revenge, would it not have been better to ask for these (relatively minor) things to be dealt with. We, like most property owners rely on guest feedback. Our cleaners do a great job, but it is not reasonable to expect them to turn on and test all the appliances and lights in a property while they are trying to prepare it for the next guest to arrive, So there will be occasions when a guest arrives and something does not work. We would apologise for that and get it sorted out and then hopefully our guest could get on with the real purpose of their stay, namely relaxing in the peaceful environment that is Oakridge St Mellion.

great facilities, great views, great place

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oakridge. The property is very nice indeed, with the upstairs lounge having these huge windows with views over the st mellion course. The free golf was an amazing bonus, but the pool and gym at the club were also great.

Excellent accommodation, superb location peaceful

We were very happy with accommodation - exceptionally quiet, not overlooked, in a small group of 5 houses each in it's own space. Well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. Lovely views of golf course, we sat enjoying the views and enjoyed the restaurant and spa/ complimentary health centre/ gym facilities at the hotel.

great for golfers and swimmers!

If you like swimming and golf or even just want a nice place to stay in cornwall this is it. you get free golf and use of swimming pools. Golf is right up there as the Nicklaus course is one of Europe's finest, so for golfers this is an absolute bargain. The pool is quiet if you go after 6pm. Fairways is a very nice property with fast internet.

Fantastic place to stay

Stayed here for half term and was so impressed with everything about the lodge! The two bedrooms downstairs are both en suite and very comfortable and upstairs is really spacey with superb views and everything you would need to have a relaxing holiday! TV through sky,wifi,DVD player and a selection of films and board games. Our kids are 11 and 6 and they loved it! Also included is passes to the club up the road which has swimming pools, sauna,spa,steam room and a good gym as well. Also a restaurant which we didn't use as mainly ate in the lodge but it looked ok! All in all we couldn't fault the whole package as it's a great base to explore Cornwall or Devon! Thanks for a great holiday!

Lovely views, clean property, great place to stay.

Really nice property, good layout, very well equipped. Very clean and well maintained. The location is fantastic if you are interested in golf, leisure facilities at St Mellion hotel are an added bonus. Lovely views over the Nicklaus 12th. Very suitable for families even with teens - games and videos provided. The cottage is really warm - so no problem drying clothes after a day of deluge. The place seems isolated but we loved it - it was quiet - full of wildlife and nearest pub at Pillarton was only few minutes drive - so no problem really. Beware if you have mobility problems - there are steps to climb up to the property.
