About Laurence Boag

I moved to Northern California from France in 1975. I raised a well traveled family of three girls and one of them moved to Idaho. Now, with grandchildren to visit, I purchased a home in my daughter's Victor neigborhood. You will find that the house has a French country charm. I had a lot of fun dressing it to make it homey and comfortable. I hope you will enjoy it. I have spent many years travelling all over the world and always appreciated the personal touches that come with staying in people's homes. Please make sure to sign my guest book and tell me about yourself!

"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page" Saint Augustine.

Laurence Boag purchased this farmhouse in 2014

Why Laurence Boag chose Teton Valley

The Fox Creek Cabin has all the makings of being a "home away from home." The house itself is beautiful, but the decor and amenities make it truly special. In the Teton Valley the adventure is all around you; it is up to you to make it as wild as you wish, but at the end of the day, you want to go home. The comfort of this house will rejuvenate you so that you may continue on to your next adventure! We hope you enjoy it!

What makes this farmhouse unique

The house is seven years old and in great shape. It is extremely well insulated with heated floors in the upstairs bathroom and master bedroom. There is a lot of barn wood detail, and the kitchen is very well equipped. I am French and love cooking so I want to offer you the opportunity to have fun in the kitchen as well!

All we ask is that you please treat our home as you would your own. Please no smoking indoors under any circumstances. The house will be cleaned before your arrival and after you leave but please leave it as clean as you found it. Merci!

Absolutely Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful, cozy home. When you walk in the front door, it feels just like home. The views of the Teton Valley are gorgeous. We were fortunate enough to stay during a full moon. When we walked outside onto the front porch our first morning there, we were greeted with a view that I will never forget. Purple skies over snow capped mountains that were waiting for the moon to make it's exit while the sun rose behind us. The house is equipped with everything you need. My only recommendation would be to invest in a microwave for future renters. I know some families do not use them but after a long day in the car, going grocery shopping after unloading the suitcases and hoping to heat up something quickly in the microwave to eat and then realizing there wasn't one, the last thing I wanted to do what have to dirty up dishes and wait for something to warm up on the stove. I would never deduct a star for that though. We were perfectly fine without one. :-) It's just a modern convenience. I really cannot say enough positive things about the house. It was so clean, loved having the heated floors (especially in the bathroom!) and I really appreciated having a washer/dryer so I didn't have to go home with dirty clothes to wash. We spent most of our time in the Tetons and this house is perfectly situated. It was so nice to come home to. A few places to check out while you're here. We did vacation during the off season so not everything was open. Check out Snake River Brewery in Jackson. Fabulous bison burgers. We went to West Yellowstone to the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center. Go see rescued bears and wolves, up close and personal. My 8 year old even got to hide treats for the bears to find. Also check out TJ's Grill & Pizzeria in Driggs. Great food and customer service. If you're still sitting on the fence about renting this house, don't. It is a wonderful home that will meet all of your needs! I hope one day we will be back and I would not hesitate renting this home again. You won't regret it!

Great base for Jackson/GTNP if you want quiet & peaceful

  • 5 of 5

So many of the VRBO options in the GTNP/Jackson area are (expensive) condos and that is not what we wanted. We wanted someplace with a yard, a view (and not of a parking lot!) and quiet. If that is what you are looking for, you will find no better place than this cozy house!

Each night after dinner we sat out back and had a fire in the chiminea; make sure to plug in the string of lights to make it even more cozy. The beds were the most comfortable of the trip, the kitchen fully stocked. The big farm table in the kitchen came in handy when we laid out our map and made plans for the next day.

Unlike others who have posted a review, we had no problem using this as a base for Jackson and GTNP. We stayed here 4 nights and made the lovely drive over the Teton Pass every day.

A (very) minor point - there is no hair dryer so bring your own.

Owner's Response: So happy to see your positive comments. Thank you for taking the time to do so and your input did not go unnoticed. I have, since then, provided a hair dryer for my guests. Merci beaucoup, sincerely, Laurence

Lots of room for kids

  • 4 of 5

Our group had four adults and two children under six. We had plenty of room in the cabin. The kids had plenty of room to play inside and out. This rental does not have a microwave or dishwasher but does have a raclette machine! Very nice location, super quiet, and a short drive over teton pass if you're heading to teton national park.

Best place I have every stayed - EVER

  • 5 of 5

If there were 10 stars to award this cabin, I would! This was, by far, the best place we have ever stayed on any of our travels around the world. You will instantly feel at home in this charming, light-filled, well appointed and homey farmhouse. There is a lot of space - an eat-in kitchen, a huge picnic table outside, front porch with seating, and spacious living room. The kitchen is well appointed and there is also a washer and dryer (and also clotheslines outside - which is my preference when the weather is nice!). You have a mountain and farmland view and the neighbors have adorable horses and a mule as well as a very relaxed and cute dog who might come to say hello. The bed was very comfortable and the blankets are luxurious. There is also WiFi and internet TV so you can access your Netflix account. It's NOT convenient to Grand Teton National Park (close to an hour to the entrance) because you are on the backside of the mountain. But, for other activities in the area, it's wonderful. We spent 3 nights here after a busy trip visiting Glacier, Yellowstone and Teton, and spent most of our "teton time" at the house because it was so comfy and we were ready to REST. We did drive to Moose for a rafting tour, then dinner in Jackson Hole. It was about 40 min home from Jackson Hole (it takes that long because much of the trip is over a steep mountain pass). We at at the brewery in Victor one night and at Forage in Driggs the other night. We also ate at Precision Kitchen in Driggs 2 days for breakfast. There is a fantastic garden nursery gift shop between the house and Driggs that has wonderful things! We would 100% stay here again and recommend this house to everyone. Laurance has done a great job and she cares about your comfort. Can't wait for another visit.

Everything we needed in a central location

  • 5 of 5

My wife, toddler and I thouroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at the Fox Creek Cabin. The location was very nice, about 40 minutes to downtown Jackson and a little over an hour to the Moose entrance to Grand Teton National Park. The cabin is located right in the middle of Victor and Driggs which are both great mountain towns. We found the best places to eat out were in Victor (we visited Wildlife Brewing Big Hole BBQ) for groceries we would venture to Driggs and shop at Broulims. We enjoyed both sides of the mountain with hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing. The cabin is well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen, lots of extra linens, and lots of toys, games and literature for all ages. We would definitely stay here again.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming

The charming and quaint downtown Victor is home to the legendary Knotty Pine Supper Club featuring incredible live music all year. During the summer, another very popular venue is the Music on Main concerts series on Thursday evenings.

There is the Victor Valley Market grocer located downtown, with local produce, meats and a great deli and even open on Sundays! A larger grocery store is about 8 miles away in Driggs.
